  • elizabeth from bellshill reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "absolutely loved the hotel. food was excellent and all staff were very friendly. this hotel is more geared for the older person, we are in our early forties and had a great time with the older people. not much for young kids to do as there is only one pool and a little paddling one and not much space for them to run about. had a fab time and will definately be going back."

  • Top Tip:

"coral bay was awesome and only 5euros to hire two sun loungers."

  • Anne from Ayr reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "We had to change hotels because of the med life collapse. The staff at T R were very helpful and the hotel while not our first choice exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good although geared towards those who like roast dinners and big helpings. On the speciality nights the local dishes or international buffet was good with the chef always being on hand to help with choice and to encourage second helpings with "all food calorie free on Cyprus".

The room was absolutely fine, clean and although a notice said towels changed twice a week they were changed every day when the room was cleaned.

It was a bit of a walk to the harbour but not too much and there was a good local bus service. We had a car and petrol was a lot cheaper and driving very straight forward on same side as UK.

We would go again as location handy for getting on to main roads to visit archaological and historic sights as well as great beaches.

    Anne & Duncan 11th Oct 2008"

  • Susanna from Reigate reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "Nice and clean and large spacious rooms. Swimming pool and pool area nice. Receptionist helpful and English speaking although did not always have up to date local advice surprisingly. The food wasnt great though - unfortunately the evening meals were often English and featured roast potatoes and gravy rather than local greek or cypriot food which was a shame. When they did do a "cypriot" night the food was lovely. Breakfast was fine. The hotel had lots of older couples in although as a younger couple it was fine too. The main resort area is 3km away and buses were irregular in the evening, not really much to do local to the hotel otherwise. Really enjoyed our stay there."

  • Top Tip:

"Coral Bay beach was lovely as was Kourion Bay. Hondros restaurant in Kato Pafos was absolutely delicious and well worth going. Restaurants in harbour good for people watching and entertainment."

  • h from aberdeenshire reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "Hotel was very good for younger families and older people, it was clean and the food was good. The staff were excellent and helpful and very friendly. The hotel is situated on a hill so not so good for people with walking difficults but is within walking distance of a bus or taxi service which are cheap. The market and designer shopping within this area is the best and everyone has to come here to shop within Paphos so the shops are right on your door step which is good as you do not want to be walking to far in the heat. They also have a Mark and Spencers food and clothing shop within this area which is good to get something different in the food line, if anyone is fussy with eating."

  • Top Tip:

"Designer shopping a must here but take plenty money as you will be spoiled for choice.
Chloe's restaurant's are chinese and great and if you are really hungry to to Fat Mama's the food is to die for."

  • h from aberdeenshire reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "This hotel was great to relax and enjoy our holiday, we were there for a family wedding and wanted time to chill. There was not so much to do in the hotel for us if you were looking for disco's etc which we were not but they were close by and only a jump on a local bus or taxi ordered from the hotel which was good. Bar street which is just off the main harbour area was great but after being out in it was glad that we stayed where we did, poeple getting drunk and fighting was not our idea of a holiday but stayed away from that area during the weekend's as advised so overall our hotel was great. The cleaner's etc were very good and the bar staff and reception staff were very helpful with idea's of where to go etc., The food was good for the first week then a bit boring as they had the same stuff almost every night. Came back from this holiday chilled and relaxed didn't want to come home. Would stay here again."

  • Top Tip:

"Designer shopping was my thing so glad didn't stay nearer them as would have spent all my money first day. Bus cost 1.50 euro and a number 10 takes you right into the market and all the designer shops great day out for the girls."

  • h from aberdeenshire reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "Stayed at the Cyprotel Laura Beach Hotel in Paphos. The Hotel was very nice and clean, the staff most of who were very plesant and helpful there were a few who were not but not much. The hotel was only 10 mins on the local bus which runs every 15 mins to the harbour and the local market and the bus was cheap. Car Hire companies were directly across the road. The food in the hotel was good but did become boring after the first week and the same things were served up daily but the local restaurants were all within distance to eat at but if working on a budget after paying all inclusive did put the cost of your overall holiday up. Transfers booked by Travel republic were great and always on time."

  • Top Tip:

"Fat mama's and Chloe's were great and the food was excellent. The restaurant next door to the Laura was very good and very friendly people they were in no rush to see you leave which was good and you had time to enjoy your meal."

  • Helen from Aberdeen reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "This hotel was very friendly the staff could not do enough to help you at all times. The food was good but did become a bit boring with being light inclusive so we did eat out sometimes during the day if away from the hotel but did eat at the hotel every night as the food was good. The hotel it's self was on the main shopping road for all the designer shops and was only a walk away from the market which was good. The only thing about this hotel is that it is not very good if you have any walking problems as it is situated on a hill and is all up hill to the market, but in saying that the bus service runs to the harbour and to coral bay outside the hotel which are cheap to use and the bus service runs until 10.30pm, taxi's are very reasonably priced and there are plently of them going about but do agree on a price before you get in the taxi. This hotel was mostly U.K. residents in and maybe this did help in obtaining sun beds around the pool which is small and compact but very clean."

  • D from STANWELL reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "The food was unedible especially breakfast.
We had half board, but paid to go and have breakfast elsewhere as we couldn't eat it.
We opted for dinner elsewhere most nights as well.
For a 3 star rating, it wasn't worth the money.
We were happy with the rooms and the service."

  • Top Tip:

"We had most of our meals at the Spirit Cafe / Bar
The food and the service was very good, will definitely go there again and can recommend this to everybody.

  • Jean from Bedford reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "Staff very friendly and helpful; room ok & kept clean with free TV not pay as you view; Do not take an iron it is prohibited but who can blame them, there was a burnt iron mark on the carpet in my room. Pool nice; The downside was the evening meal main course, it was awful. Lack of colour and flavour e.g. grilled chicken was not golden but was grey, steamed and falling off the bone even the carvery turkey was tough. Generally meat and vegetables were well overcooked. However the first course salads were excellent as were the puds. Breakfast good with a wide selection. Hotel right up the hill near the market so it was a mile and a half down to the sea front and tourist area. Taxis expensive e.g. £5 UK day rate £6.25 UK night rate, but a bus trip is about £1UK no matter where. Buses stop about 7pm up the hill to the hotel. I walked almost everywhere as I am fit. A less abled person may find the taxis back and forth eats into your spending money. Taxi from airport to the hotel was £21.25 UK each way.
Weather superb and Cypriots very friendly."

  • Daniel from Swindon reviewed the Agapinor Hotel

  • "I live in Cyprus and have travelled extensively around the Island.

Hotel was fine, good for the fairly low price we paid. We were only staying over a weekend and a longer stay would perhaps have become monotonous as the hotel is in town and at least a mile walk from the any nightlife (much further to the beach/seafront).
Breakfast was reasonably good, emphasis on quantity rather than variety and quality. Pool area was clean with plenty of loungers although a bit cramped. Rooms were clean and the sea view is well worth the supplemement (town view is of a road and a brick wall).

Basically, if you want somewhere to use as a base, plan to hire a car and just fancy a cheap getaway for a few days then this hotel will be fine. If you want to lie by the pool and spend 2 weeks in and around the hotel then you will get bored."
