"We received a warm welcome to the hotel, once we had found it, if you have never been, please note it is off the main road a little and the sign is literally on the turn off. If you go past the Agios Georgios church you have gone too far. The hotel is lovely, the food is edible, we did struggle on the 'Italian' night not for the choice of meat, the dish containing pasta had been left uncovered by a previous guest and was no longer hot so we were a little wary. The hotel caters for mainly english and german guests, a good range of breakfast, all main meals included plenty of salad selection, the soup was always hot and usuallly decent. The all inclusive snacks were not as varied a menu as the regular bar snacks, but were plentiful. The night entertainment was OK, we spent our evenings outside, yes even in November, a jumper or sweatshirt required, but outside was better than inside, you forget the UK has the non-smoking rule in public places until you go on holiday as a non-smoker it's hard to acclimatise back into a room full of smoke (sorry smokers!!). Rooms were good, plenty of room even in the studio, cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster in the room, even when an all-inclusive guest. Hotel about 10 minutes by car between Coral Beach to the left and Kato Paphos to the right, walking to either may take up to 2 hours, coastal path nearly all way each way. Hire a car (it was cheaper to hire a car for the week than pay for transfers to and from hotel!!) and drive around, Cyprus is fantastic to travel around, not only do you drive as you do in the UK, you find the little villages off the beaten track and can be pleasantly surprised by the welcome you will receive. We have been to Cyprus many times, usually to Ayia Napa, first time in Paphos was just as good and I would return, even as soon as early next year, and would stay at the Akteon again."

"We arrived at our hotel to be told they weren't expecting us- only some Italian couple. It took a while to sort out, and a good job that I had my booking reciept to proove it was all booked and paid for. They apologized and gave us a room but I can't help but feeling the one we originally booked would have been nicer. We had a room right at the back of the complex, with a balcony looking onto the back of someones house, and a little infestation of ants near the kitchen appliances.
Although the room was spacious and fairly clean so I can't complain too much.

In addition, I found the staff here quite abrupt and not very friendly.

The pool area was very nice and relaxed and the food was great but highly priced!"

"We stayed at akteon on a self catering basis, the apartment was clean and well maintained and regularly serviced. Evening entertainment was fine especially for families - different events each evening. The pool area was lovely although the pool was cold (but it was March!!), however there was an indoor pool which was lovely and warm. Although akteon is a distance from Paphos center / harbour etc. it is only a five minute walk from bus stop, shops and restaurants."

"A very nice place. next to the sea. stayed 1 night. food was ok , but if we were there longer ,food would , i think be a little to much of the same thing. there are many bad reviews of this hotel , but it is a very cheap hotel and gives a very good service, it is a good idea to have a car if staying at this hotel. and i would say to book self catering as this is the way to get best value for money and eat out of hotel as food in cyprus is expensive but very nice. staff were very good , and has evening entertainment for all family."

"Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were spacious,staff were ok but not over friendly. Food was great especially from pool snack bar. Pools are ideal for all ages. 5 to 10 mins bus ride to coral bay for neasrest large beach and water sports. only 80 cent on bus where ever you go. Animacion team were great although some have returned home as it is winter season. Cant fault it!"

"We would not go back to this accommodation. The facilities are good but the management and senior staff could do with a customer relations course. They can be extremely rude. Rooms are adequate and cleaned frequently, public areas and pool are very good. If you have any interest in food don't book all inclusive as the meals become repetitive and dull. Whilst we had a good holiday we did encounter security problems (a fellow guest had the safe stolen from the wall of their wardrobe), potential food poisoning (as a result of undercooked frozen burger in the bar) and cockroaches in our kitchen."

"The accommodation was good. The maid service was excellent. The location of the hotel made it a bit difficult to get about. The water made available to AI guests was discusting. The majority of the bar staff were sullen. The Hotel entertainment team were excellent. Danielle in particular was outstanding in her efforts to get people to join in. The outside area ie swimming pool were excellent and could not be faulted in any way."

"This hotel is not four star. The all inclusive is just ok - the bar staff do not wish to serve as there are no tips involved, the inside pool is dirty but you get what you pay for. This was very cheap and reception staff where fantastic when my daughter left behind something of sentimental value"

"We arrived in the early hours of the morning and found it very dark and difficult to find our accommodation. When we got there it was stinking of smoke. We asked to be moved the next day which they were able to do because of the time of year. We chose another room - left our luggage but they said there was a problem with the wall and could not have that one and chose another Once we moved in the hot water was not working and they wanted us to move again. We said we could survive one night without hot water but no longer. This was promptly fixed the following day. Overall the complex was good and certainly value for money."
