P from PLYMOUTH reviewed the Albergaria Sao Sebastiao Hotel
"The hotel was lovely, absolutely spotlessly clean and the pool was great. The staff were always helpful and able to answer any questions we had.
The only criticism is that the beds, although fairly new, were too hard and uncomfortable which was a pity. The only other point to make is that the Hotel website states that the beach is 5 minutes away which we found a bit of an exageration, it took nearly 10 minutes to drive to the nearest beach, having said that it was not a problem - to stay at this hotel you definately need a car which we had."
Top Tip:
"Frazers Tapas Bar just a short walk up the hill and around the corner - very nice and not too expensive, we also went to Van Gogh which was also very good but a little more pricey."

"Need to concentrate more on refreshments for swimming pool ie: drinks and food. No one in bar, you have to go to reception to ask for a drink downstairs, and no food available. Although I managed to scrounge a sandwich but it was difficult.

I would not give it 4 stars."
Top Tip:
"Must try Van Gogh restaurant at Maritenda, 10 minutes away. Excellent."

The hotel is only 25 minutes from the airport. Out the airport follow the sign for Albufeira-Lisboa N 125 to Villamoura and Boliqueime. Also the hotel has one outdoor pool. DDS 07/08.
