"Personally I wouldn't rate the Alia Palace a 5 star hotel but a top 3 star hotel. The reason for this is that whilst the communal areas, i.e. lobby, dining facilities, fantastic pool were great, the rooms themselves weren't of the same quality. I found them to be quite basic is decor, the bathroom had no shower curtain and the rooms didn't have an iron or ironing board which, for a 5 star hotel, I would have thought they'd provide. We travelled in July and there was only hotel evening entertainment on a Sunday and Weds, which for high season I would have thought would have been every night. Having said that, it was a really nice hotel and the staff were very polite. The hill is a bit of killer but great for toning the legs!"
Top Tip:
"My tip would for those staying at the Alia Palace, or in Pefkohori generally, would be to hire a car. We visted so many places which, incidently had much better beaches than the very narrow, overcrowded beach at Pefkohori. In my view, Golden Beach, about a 10 min drive from hotel, was by far one of the best: sandy (instead of shingle) and not overcrowded. So long as you don't mind the music from the beach bar this was one of the best beaches we visited."

"Very pleased with hotel and accomodation. The buffet was excellent value for money and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful setting, lovely pool with poolside bar and lunchtime restaurant with music in the evenings. Although the hotel is up high on a hill there is a courtesy bus which runs into town at various times throughout the day and evening. Would definitely go back again."

The Alia Palace Hotel is located in Chalikidiki, in a quiet area overlooking Pefkohori village and offering a wonderful panoramic sea view. The property is conveniently situated close (500 m) to the shops, restaurants and other entertainment activities of the village. The Alia Palace features comfortable and luxurious rooms arranged with exceptional materials and selected furniture. To fit everyone's tastes, the hotel offers in its restaurant a selection of various flavours, inspired by Greek cuisine and exotic gastronomy. To enjoy summer holidays, an outdoor swimming pool is designed for adults and children as well as a pool terrace with sun beds. A free shuttle bus transfer to the beach, located 800 m away, is available every day. The distance from Macedonia International Airport is approximately 90 km.
