"Very friendly hotel in a great position opposite the beach. Hotel is basic, but clean with usual Greek plumbing. Staff are all friendly and helpful."

"The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, Karen, Craig and the staff were wonderful made you feel so welcome and homely. The hotel is very well situated for the beach and all the ameneties in the resort, it could not be faulted at all, fantastic."

"Apparently we should have had a room in the annexe which I would not have been happy about and I did find that the booking was slightly misleading in that it never mentioned the word annexe"

"the hotel was fantastic, gorgeous view from balcony, very friendly and helpful staff.we would like back there next year"

"The hotel was very accommodating and happily changed our room when we asked for a larger balcony. The rooms were clean & spacious and the staff were very friendly."

"The room had a lovely view of the sunset each evening, but as we were in the annexe we had to walk down the hill to the main building for breakfast (about 5 minutes). Not suitable for anyone who has problems with stairs.
Also, when we went, second half of September, a lot of the other hotels and restaurents in the area had already closed for the winter. The beaches are nice but the water is quite cold because of underwater springs, and the beach shelves quite quickly so not very suitable for very young children."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel."

"We stayed in the annexe not the main hotel.
Staff did not help with luggage up 2 flights of steps/stairs.
Room and food were adequate considering the cost.
Sea-view fantastic. Cleanliness good. Bed linen changed frequently.
Used toilet paper bin removed daily.
I would use this hotel again.
Coach (bus) service into Corfu Town was a short distance from the hotel."

"Good clean, basic accomodationin the annexe building. Friendly service from all members of staff, regular entertainment in the hotel bar."

"The Holel Apollon is a fabulous place to stay and the location could not be better. The owners will make you feel so welcome, the food and the entertainment is great and you're right over the road from the beach. What more could you ask for?"

"We stayed in the Hotel Apollon Annexe Late July 2008.
The accomodation, location, staff and restaurant were fantastic. Cleaning was sporadic at best. Half-board was great value given the £s weakness against the euro.
The 6 euro/night air-con is essential in high season.
Being half-board we didn't need to go afield for dinner; but there are plenty of places to find lunch and our room in the 'annexe' had a large fridge.
The restaurant is open to the public and quite popular; the half-board dinner each night was a choice of a few items from the main menu for each course; there was always somthing even for my picky daughter to eat and the choices were not too repetitive. Several B&B guests chose to pay the 10euro to eat from the half-board menu.
There are plenty of cats roaming the resort and hotel and there were a few wasps about - but my family love both so it wasn't a problem.
The local night-life wouldn't satify a party-animal; but we were after a relaxing friendly holiday - which this was. The hotel does provide entertainments such as a Greek Night and the bar was busy until past our bedtime ;-)
The area is on every visitors must-see list so there are coach and car loads of day trippers between 11am and 5pm - but it wasn't too crowded."

"WE STAYED IN THE ANNEX PART OF THE HOTEL. ROOM BASIC. BATHROOM FLOOR FOREVER WET AS NO SHOWER CURTAIN. MOP AND BUCKET OUTSIDE IN THE CORRIDOR TO USE IF NEEDED. BREAKFAST CONTINENTAL, PLENTIFUL BUT REPEATATIVE. EVENING MEAL MORE VARIED AND ENJOYABLE. EVERYONE FRIENDLY ENOUGH. BEACH DIRECTLY OPPOSITE SOME SAND A LOT OF PEBBLE. ENTERTAINMENT ONLY ONE NIGHT OF THE WEEK WE WERE THERE. VERY QUIET AT NIGHT BUSIER DURING THE DAY. QUITE A FEW BUSES IN AND OUT FILLING THE BEACH. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WALKING I WOULD NOT SUGGEST YOU STAY IN THE ANNEX BUT REQUEST THE HOTEL. WOULD RETURN IT GREW ON US AFTER THE INITIAL FIRST FEW DAYS. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLANT. ALAN AND LIZ. TELFORD. JULY 2008"

"We have just returned from the Apollon Hotel in Paeleokastritrsa Corfu where we stayed half board for a week. The hotel room was a fairly basic twin studio room with a balcony fridge tv and phone and a small shower room with toilet but sheets were clean changed twice in week and bins emptied every day. We were in the annexe Apollon II which was the newer block away from road noise but 2 flights of steep stairs not for the elderly . It was just as well we were half board because not a lot of places to eat but food not very exciting - got the daily special menu which was a choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 sweets (ice cream or fruit salad one of choices each day) which would have only cost 10 euros anyway. Breakfasts were buffet continental and quite acceptable.
We have gone to Greece for 20 years twice a year but this was the quietest place at night we have ever been as no shop open after 7pm and the only supermarket closed at 9pm so nowhere to roam around after eating dinner - We were in bed at 10pm watching tv as nothing else to do unless you wanted to sit and drink in hotel bar.
The place was very busy during the day with tourist coaches arriving to visit monastery on top of hill but the beaches were still quite quiet. Not wonderful beaches as quite small and stony but sea very clean and blue so ideal to snorkel and lots of boats to hire
I must admit that although the scenery was quite stunning and good views from balcony I did not fall in love with the place as it is not a living Greek village with lively tavenas or shops for the locals - even supermarket did not open until owner drove into resort after 8 am
The owners were very friendly and the couples we met in hotel were all very pleasant but not a place for a young family cos the kids would be bored stiff at night"

"very quiet place, but absolutely stunning. the hotel was very nice we stayed in the annex just up the road very typically greek the shower had no curtain so the bathroom flooded every time you used it but there was a bucket to mop up outside our room so we just used that. The food at our hotel was superb we were b&b but ate there twice. There is a special menu for 10 euro 10% off if your a resident which was excellent. There is a bakery within the hotel but very expensive if you go 50 metres up the road there is a mega cafe bar that is cheaper wonderful freindly people."

"The Appollon Hotel is practically on the beach, although there are a lot of steps up to your room, the views from the balcony of our room was absolutely fabulous. the breakfast was continental sytle, but you could have as much as you wanted."

"This hotel was really qaint with a modern refurb, the staff were lovely and the location amazing. The staff could not do enough for you, most helpful of any hotel we have stayed in.
The breakfast was the only down side, a bit more variety would have been good. it was the same breakfast buffet for 4 days, same cereal, same bread and jam, chesse and ham."

"The hotel was superb, the staff friendly and efficient.
The views from the hotel are the best on the island, the beach here is lovely, we hired a car and went all over the Island but didnt find anywhere as beautiful as this spot."

"The Hotel we stayed in was excellant the food was delicious. we had a magnificent view from our balcony it was like something from a movie set, it was such a beautiful setting. All the staff at the hotel could not have been any friendlier they could not do enough for you. Craig was just so funny he had us laughing everyday with his stories he should really be on stage he was so entertaining. We will without a doubt be back to stay in the Apollon hotel later this year, we cant wait to get back.

"Rooms were basic but clean. Lovely views from the balcony. Continental style breakfast. Evening meals were excellent and all the staff were very friendly."
