"There is no beach in Zante Town. Its a busy harbour/port so dont expect to walk from the hotel on to a sandy beach.
However The Diana Hotel is very close to Main Square with restaurants and cafe bars and adjacent to main shopping street, Ideal location. It is clean tastefully decorated and extremely quiet considering its location. Friendly staff.
In view of its proximity to main square I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was.
Breakfast served as part of the deal from 7.30 till 10.30am.
Continental Breakfast buffet OK but you needed to be in early if you wanted the warm food to be warm.Some bacon , sausage and eggs were cooked but went cold in the stainless steel container. When its gone its gone and I never saw any additional food brought in to the dining room."
Top Tip:
"Family owned Greek Taverna just off the square 100 yards from the Hotel, opened in 1961 (and advertising the fact above the entrance).Nikos will drag you off the street and Tasos will serve you. Great friendly people.
Specialises in Greek food which is excellent and good value.
We ended up eating there 6 out of 7 nights"
