"Arrived late evening. Reception closed but key and clear instructions left for directions to room. Ease of check-in and check-out excellent."

"We were upgraded to a self contained 2 bed apartment with wonderful views and a roof terrace. However, we know the owners well now having been there at least 10 times, so they knew we were going to look it and not abuse the privilege."

"we love this hotel as we have gone there for many years, it is now apartments which we prefer, it is in a very quiet area of majorca but ideal for sunbathing with a little peace and quiet, and yet only a short taxi ride to many resorts with much more night life if you require it, the apartments are basic, but roomy, and we will continue to return time and time again, with your company, infact we have already booked again for a week at easter!! thankyou Travel Republic for offering very competetive prices."

"The best restaurant for the friendliest welcome is the Arco Iris, across at the end of the beach the owner ceasar. and his two special waiters Joquin and sebastian, always make you feel at home, the lovely relaxed setting is idyillic both day and night, be aware that the kitchens, at most restaurants in Camp de Mar close by 9.30pm.even during the height of the season,earlier in the year they tend to close a bit earlier."Villa Real Hotel check-in Date:

"Staff were very friendly. Receptionist (Helen) very helpful. Any requests we had were dealt with immediatley. Cooking facilities were very basic, just two cooking rings, no oven or grill, but apartment was very clean and comfortable,"

"Hotel recently changed to apartments from traditional hotel basis. Breakfast available from about 0830 am at poolside bar which remained open for drinks & snacks until about 6 pm. Pool area a great suntrap although plenty of parasols available together with trees to provide shade as necessary
Hotel bar open from 730pm until about 12midnight.
Taxi stance just across the road from hotel and bus stop for 1/2 hourly daytime services(until about 9pm) to Port Andrax in one direction and Pageura/Santa Ponsa/Palma in the other direction.
Small selection of bars and eating places to suit most budgets.
Quiet resort for a peacefull chilled out holiday."Top Tip:

"We've just spent a very pleasant week at the Villa Real . Apartments are basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and fairly spacious. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pool area was ok with enough sunbeds - the kids seemed to enjoy it .
Just a 2 minute stroll to the beach which even in the middle of August wasn't too crowded
Not a lot of evening entertainment apart from a few bars and restaurants but plenty of options to travel to livelier nearby resorts if you have a car.
Good value breakfast at the poolside snackbar for 4 Euros"Top Tip:
"Bar Bagari just up the road was good value for evening meals , especially for families

"We had requested a room on the pool side unfortunately no requests can be gauranteed- the room was hot & noisy.Although we paid for a larger room it just had a high ceiling!We love the resort but this hotel is just too basic"

"We (2 adults, 2 children(4 and 7) stayed at the Villa Real for 3 nights before two weeks in Porta Pollensa. The hotel was clean and the staff very pleasant. The pool area is great and never seemed that crowded.
Our room looked out onto the side street with a large balcony. The road could be noisy especially in the early hours of the morning. Their were some particularly annoying teenage guests below us and one morning we were awoken by some charming British teenagers shouting, swearing and puking in the street.
This suprised us as generally Camp de Mar seemed a small quiet resort.
The beach is good although early afternoon three large excursion boats arrive and dump their occupants into the resort for two hours.
I can recommend the hotel and the resort especially value for money, however I would not have wanted to stay for longer than a week."Villa Real Hotel check-in Date:

"Villa Real is a lovely, homely apartments. It is pretty basic, but clean, with excellent receptionist 9am - 12noon, and BRILLIANT pool snack bar. Breakfast - fruit juice, then bacon sandwich and toast, then coffee or tea for 4euros!!! Rooms are adequate, but keep shutters closed tea-time to breakfast for mosquitos!!!!!! Everything you need for a quiet holiday is within short walking distance - good pharmacy, Spar, restaurants, paper shop, boutiques and jewellery shop. Rather hilly and stairs for disabled."

"The beach is absolutely clean and well maintained, and has a wooden walkway to restaurant on an island, 20 yards into sea!!!

"(originally a hotel) 46 apartments in a very quite cove with beach. A handful of restaurants or bars within 5 mins walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic but very clean. Maid service / clean + towels every 2 days and bed linen change after 4 days. We look forward to a return stay in 2009."
Top Tip:
"Bakers open from 8am 2 mins away.
Small supermarket next door to the Bakers.
The pool bar offers good value meals and drinks.
(in July and August) request a fan as rooms get humid in the evening.

"this has got to be one of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in!All night deliveries to neighbouring hotels along with refuse collection was very disturbing and as there was no airconditioning we had to open the doors which meant the noise was awful.the was a lull about 8am when we got about 2hours sleep each day.we ended up exhausted.But the biggest problem we felt was the lack of air conditioning it was very hot and we found it suffocating,for this reason alone I would not stay at this hotel again although the resort was fab."

"Although the hotel was basic it was very clean and the staff were very friendly. It would be a place that we would consider using again in the future. The beach and scenery were beautiful and very close to the hotel. The whole holiday, including travelling, went very well and we had a great time. Would recommend that insect repellent is used as did get bitten."
