"The shower rooms were a great disappointment not only they were too small but very cramp. It was impossible to give the young ones a shower as there wasn't even enough room for one person to stand in the shower room without bumping into the saniaryware [way below average standards]. We had two rooms and one of the doors to the shower room didn't even open in fully as it kept on hitting the WC pan [apparently this was the same with the other rooms on the same side!]. For a 4 Star hotel, is was surprising not to have a bath tub to ANY of the rooms! If there was one thing I would change about this hotel would be the shower room sizes and if there was one thing that would put me off booking into this hotel would be the shower room size. By the way the shower cubilce were so small that it would be impossible for an over weight person to use it!"

"For the price - Fantastic!! What a bargain!!"

"Sited at the back on Marmaris this hotel will not give you nearby sand and sea. It will however give you a good location away from the noise and bustle of the inevitable bars and restaurants aplenty in the vacinity. A modern clean hotel, well run with a resident manager and local staff that work very long hours. Despite this they were friendly and helpful. The all inclusive basis keeps a lid on budgets. We stayed there out of season during October to avoid the extreme temperatures. The guests were a mixture of Dutch, French, German, Russian and British. None of which used the all inclusive bar to excess. The food was to our taste with lots of local salad, olives and chillies. The main courses were simple but tasty enough considering the hotel element of our total holiday cost. We will return to Turkey again for the late season sunshine."

"(Married couple, mid-30's)
Hotel is bright and modernly furnished and spotlessly clean. Food similar standard to any AI in Spain etc. Good enough.
Beach is 20 mins walk away and not many shops/bars/restaurants in the immediate area so this Hotel had to be all inclusive. But it is too small for that really.
Pool is nice and big but there's only about 40 sunbeds so if you aren't up at 7am, you don't get one. There's simply no other space, like garden areas or anything.
Outdoor pool bar seating area is similarly too small considering AI guests are around all day and night generally.
Not sure which would be the best side to have a room on. We were on the mountain-view side at the back on the 1st floor and it was dreadful because during the night is when the Hotel has all it's rubbish taken away and deliveries made. The lorries woke us every single night. But pool-view rooms have the pool bar right underneath.
Another issue for us was the harder than rock beds. Don't know if it was just our room but they were awful. Sheets are made of tea-towel kind of material too, a bit scratchy. Also, our shower was tiny and flooded the bathroom.
We went 2nd week of October and whether entertainment was cooling off, don't know, but there basically was none to speak of, so would be terrible for children I imagine.
The drinks arrangement is pretty confusing. They have nothing that tells you specifically what drinks you can have on the AI and what will get charged to your room. You have to keep asking until you get the hang of it. Also it's a bit long-winded with having to get a receipt from one end of the bar and then get drinks from the barman at the other end of the bar.
One thing we can recommend is the Turkish Bath (separately run to the Hotel but on site). It was great. Top marks to all the staff there. A full 2 hour experience and a personal appointment for your group.
Don't think we're not recommending this Hotel, just pointing out a few niggles."

"The hotel was fine, no complaints. House keeping, service, cleanliness all very good.
However I was dissapointed in the all inclusive element. The food option was good but the drinks were terrible. On arrival we were fitted with the plastic bracelet, this however was only for food. We had a separate smart card for drinks and the snack bar. You had to present the card to the till operator, 2 drinks per card at any one time. You were given a reciept and then joined the queue at the bar. Just 1 bartender though. We stayed in the first evening but went to local bars after that. I would go back to the hotel again but self catering."

"Excellant check in desk fast and effieceint, meals varied lots to choose from drinks at bar is soft pop alchol is like water beed fine, lack of sunbeds in sun is poor especially when u get typical people getting up at 7am to reserve there beds even though they are going out for the morning annoying!! all in all good"

"Good hotel, very clean, food lovely and staff friendly. Not a bad size pool and choice of facilities including spa and Turkish bath, hair dressers, hotel shop and jewellers. Whilst this hotel is a little further out than where we have stayed before, we would be happy to return here. Bus comes every few mins and can take you to the harbour or rhe main Marmaris Road in about 10 mins. From here you are mins from the beach."

"We did find that after dinner the sitting area around the bar was limited and the lack of lighting around the pool and bar was very dark. The young guy who did all the activities both day and nightime was absolutely brillant. All the staff were so friendly and caring and the whole holiday was wonderful. Congratulations Travel Republic for ensuring our pick up transfers went smoothly, our hotel was fab and we even had a plane which was on time both ways. Last but not least the 'PRICE WAS RIGHT'
Thank you very much!!!!!!"

"The hotel is excellent value for money, all areas are kept clean and tidy. The food is above average for an all-inclusive deal, excellent choices. Nice area of Marmaris, not overcrowded or rowdy, good bus service into town (great fun!)"

"Everything fine, try and ensure your room overlooks the pool tho."

"Cracking hotel, with a good selection of all inclusive food and drink.
Staff all very helpfull, especially the couple who run the turkish bath.
All very clean, even the pool after torrential rain.
The only niggle was the hair/nail salon, OK if your a bloke, but not so good if your female!!
The hotel benefits from being far enough away from the seafront action that you can get a bit of shut eye when required, yet is still only a 5 minute bus ride from the action when you want it"

"Although not close to the beach a local bus network runs very regularly and is dead easy to use. Staff are helpful and food is good, but you will want to eat out from time to time."

"The female side of the hairdresser/beautician was appauling. The male side was brilliant, my husband had a lovely shave. The evening entertainment was awful."

"good hotel good transfers no complaints at all"

"Fantastic hotel, really friendly staff. Would definately go again."

"Stayed in the Royal Garden Hotel with my boyfriend for a fotnight from early September - it was still incredibly hot!!
The hotel itself was lovely, you really couldn't ask for more.
It was extremely clean, very friendly staff who were always smiling, superb food, great entertainment, extremely nice rooms and a reasonable location.
If you're up for a walk, it takes about 15 mins to get to the beach and the main stretch of bars, restuarants, shops. There is however a long line of restuarants along this route which start from the hotel. Although, due to the fantastic food and top quality service we had no need to go elsewhere for a meal!
To get even further, to the marina, 'bar street' and the market oh and more shops and restaurants!!! then we found that it took 40 - 50 mins to walk this at a leisurely pace with a few stops here and there to look in shops etc. If you wanted a walk then this was fine, if it was a night out you were after then maybe you should save your feet for all the dancing and get the bus instead!
Although we never actually got a bus, as to be honest the walking didn't bother us one bit. In fact it was rather nice! However, we did notice a bus go by every 5 mins past the hotel which apparently was very cheap and took you everywhere! So the location of the hotel shouldn't be a problem. We found it nice, it was close enough if you wanted to go out but not too close that noise became a nuisance.
Back to the hotel, I cannot stress enough how nice it was! Everything about it from the staff to the entertainment, from the hotel itself to the food. It was all superb! In fact it is definately a hotel we'd go back to. At the airport when we were leaving, and once back home, we couldn't stop talking about it!
The hotel entertainment was great, a mixture of laughs and 'oooooo' 'wow' !!! They had breakdancers, belly dancers, magician (with snake and dove in tow!), champion barman tossing and throwing all sorts around and not to mention ebo the day and night entertainer. From pool games at midday (extremely funny!!!!) to acts during the evening, he really did a good job. My boyfriend and I had a fantasic time, the whole holiday was amazing. A chilled out holiday full of laughs and many memories.
I really hope you have just as a good time as we did, (it shouldn't be all that hard!!)"

"Great Hotel, friendly staff, good pool, poor sunbed areas, good choice of food & drinks, a bit far from beach up a slight hill."

"The hotel and the staff were excellent"

"16th august 2008
i spent two weeks with my family at the royal gardens hotel, this hotel was just great i couldn't have asked for anything better.
the food was fine there was always plenty of food they never ran out got a bit board with chicken but it was no big problem.
you could always get a sunbed, the hotel staff were lovely they were always so helpful and friendly, we wanted a pool view but got a cliff view but they moved us straight away as soon as we asked them.
entertainment was a bit chessy but it was fun and the kids loved the entertainer who was called ibo he really made the holiday fun
i would definitly go back to this hotel"
