Roger from Tewkesbury reviewed the San Marco Hotel
"Very nice hotel, but too far out of town for most people.
OK if you hire a car or scooter like we did.
No beach, just a rocky shore.
Hotel is on side of hill and cheaper rooms are at top of short hill, which gets to be a pain if you need to pop back to your room.
Our room was very dingy, no veranda or balcony to speak of.
Food/drinks very expensive at hotel and in Mykonos. Cocktails E10/12
Staff very helpfull and friendly."
Top Tip:
"Make sure you have airport transfers sorted, taxi is E15 to hotel, Hotel shuttle is E25.
Hire a scooter.
Check out Paradise beach, its at far side of island but worth it -apres beach 5.00pm.
Mykonos is generally dull, nothing to do or see. The town is a living hell, cute at first- then bloody boring
Beaches are great, very well managed, you get free sunshade in exchange for buying a drink from beach staff. Normal prices as well."
