"THE HOTEL WAS VERY QUIET WE ONLY EVER SAW THE RECEPTIONIST AND THE MAID AND AT TIMES WE FELT THAT WE WERE THE ONLY GUESTS. NOT SURE IF THE RESTAURANT WAS OPEN SINCE WE WERE SELF CATERING. THAT BEING SAID THE WHOLE RESORT WAS VERY QUIET. THE HOTEL IS IN A FANTASTIC POSITION, IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WE DID SEE WERE PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK."

"We thought the hotel was very well placed for access to local amenities. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were a nice size, with reasonably facilities. We would go there again and would recomment it to others. It was good value for money."

"I have stopped at four Roquetas hotels to date and would rate this one of the best for staff friendliness , food which is buffet style with plenty of choice and room size of the apartment rooms. It is only round the corner from the bars and restaurants but quiet at night and a 200m walk to the esplanade walk and beach. I think it represents excellent value for money and would use it again without doubt."

"The hotel was spotlessly clean. The rooms were huge and well equipped. Would definately go back to hotel but wouldnt really recommend with children as there is no entertainment in the hotel or outside most pubs/restaurants are closed. Food was good plenty to choose from at breakfast and dinner time. Couldnt fault hotel at all."

"Not really suitable for the 18s - 30s as many pensioners there. No entertainment in hotel - but then perhaps that kicks off in the Summer.

Food good.

Staff very pleasant and helpful.

"GOOD POINTS - Spotless hotel, cleaned daily, lovely pool and garden area, excellent position.

BAD POINTS - The food - its awful. For the first few days it was supposed to be a buffet service but was very limited in selection. The hot food was cold and the cold food was room temperature. Food was re-hashed if not eaten that day into another dish the next day. This applied to the main dish and also desserts which were served up until they were un-fit to eat.
For the last few days the buffet changed to al la carte - the choice was then minimised to a rubbish selection and was not cooked properly. We tried to raise the issue with the manager but he wasnt available for comment. We have filed a formal complaint to the Hotel and will pursue this. This was not 4* quality food but 2*.

Also, there was no entertainment of any kind, day or night, although the bar was open with a television showing sport."

"200m from the main (clean) beach (water warm but can be rough). Hotel very clean and friendly. Room spotless. Good large indoor bar lounge (day/night) av prices, 3E for a large beer and 2.5E for a large brandy. Food o/k but not a great deal of choice (but for a week?). Taxi transfer 49E on a Weekend, 40E through the week and no problems there, plenty available.
The only problem we saw was that is was also the Spanish holiday season also and they do the sun bed/towel operation but we are always up early so it did bother us at all (great pools). There is an excellent cheap supermarket 2minutes away on the way to the beach. On the main front to the left it is a 1hour walk (so we were told) to the main port but not a great deal there, plenty on bars/restaurants on the way (9E in a taxi) and 20minutes right to the end on the new prom. It is worth a look here to see the new developments that are taking place."

"Hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. This is our 3rd stay in this hotel and it is excellent. The buffet restaurant is very clean, the food is excellent and the waiting staff are very prompt to serve drinks. In peak season there is plenty of entertainment for children both during the day and at night, and the loud entertainment goes on until midnight. We have stayed here in September and it's much more quiet, so for couples this is an ideal time to visit. As a couple with no children we would not go back to this hotel during peak times. Roquetas de Mar is an excellent resort and we visit every year. The only negatives about the resort are the flies (don't eat your meal outside) and it can be very windy. This is a very Spanish resort but there are plently of English bars and all Spanish bars have English menus and speak good enough English!"

"This hotel is spotless, food is excellent. Hotels location to the beach is very close, out of back door and just across the road. Supermarket also same way.

Rooms are very well equipped even down to tablecloth/dishcloth.

We have stayed at the Arena a couple of times before. This is a very quiet spot not for youngsters."

"the arena center aparthotel was of a very high standard. The room was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The food in the restaurant was also very good.

The only thing that let this aparthotel down was no entertainment in day or evening. Travelling with young children it would it would have been ideal. We always had to visit other hotels."
