Rosalyn from Northwich reviewed the Bahia Principe San Juan Hotel
"Firstly we had changed our booking to stay at the Tropical Playa Dorada Resort and Spa hotel for a week before I left the UK. The Tropical hotel wasn't running at full cacpacity and it became obvious when certain entertainment events were cancelled. Also the disco was closed. We had a suite which was very spacious and more than what I had expected from a Dominican hotel. However we didn't get the ocean view we had booked, the water didn't work when we arrived, we didn't get the mini bar we paid for and the air con was broken and therefore constantly on which was noisy and cold at night. Our friends stayed in a suite near ours and there's was a lot nicer and had the view and the mini bar."
Top Tip:
"My top tip is not to stay at the resort all the time, go out and see the Dominican life. Rio San Juan is home of the beautiful Gri Gri laguna. The public bus is a lot cheaper than tourist taxis, however they do get very cramped. (Have an open mind!!!)"

It consists of nice and spacious rooms designed to offer guests comfort and services. The hotel amenities include swimming pools with separate section for the children, many restaurants and bars, spa, tennis and other sport courts, gym and a mini club, among others. It is an ideal choice for families and couples looking for relaxing and joyful vacations. The hotel is within a short distance from its private beach and approximately 70 km from the Puerto Plata airport. *Rooms don't fit 3 adults with 1 child, so this combination is not recommended to guests.
