"The hotel was lovely, rooms were clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable and made for you daily. The maids also clean the apartments daily and replace loo rolls etc. Towels changed twice a week. The cooking facilities leave a lot to be desired as you only get 2 plug in rings and a microwave. And as there is nothing in the local area you have to eat in the hotel unless you hire a car or get taxis. The staff are polite and helpful at all times and this hotel is brilliant if you want peace and quiet. The swimming pool that was supposed to be heated was freezing though! Also there seemed to be quite a few cats which were friendly enough and seem to be well fed. Though if you are allergic to cats like my daughter request an upstairs apartment and then there is no problem with them. There are also no washing facilities anywhere. So pack enough clothes."

"Excellent value for money - good supermarket nearby - beach 15 minute walk away.
No complaints; the children used the pool daily. A good week spent in Portugal. Staff very helpful - would recommend car hire for a couple of days.Thank you for a very nice holiday"

"My hotel was basic but what I expected. However the apartments were not a 10 min walk from the town as specicfied. The area was beautiful and I would go there again. The apartments lacked entertainment which was disappointing."

"we were not told before we went about the 50 euros deposit at the hotel. price list in apartment for any damages. the smell of the place through damp bedding not changed for a week. location was nowhere near albufeuria it was at least 6 miles. had to wait an hour and half for our meals at the hotel restaurant."

"My wife and I would like to say that this was a realxing time but I would say this is not suitable for the younger generation and people with children as it is out of the way more for the older generation who want to go and just relax and take a trip to town once or twice a week. There are lots of adventure tours to take and I would not say that they are very expensive. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We did self catering in a studio and for the price people must not expect luxury but definitely comfort with the basic facilities needed also clean. We we would definitely go there again but this time we would like to do 2 weeks not one and also make sure we extend the extra day for the hotel room as they were very booked up and we had to wait all day to go to the airport without any facility to shower etc if we wanted to relax by the pool for the day.

Definitely enjoyable realxing serene and good walks.

"A bit disapointed that the roof tubs were closed as it did say in use the appartments have gone down hill a bit since we were last there. The bathrooms in need of a good clean and retiling. The pool area fine there should be a smaller pool for the young as there is only a hot tub which is quite deep. Some of the appartments people were complaing about bites this could be that people are letting stray cats in to the appartments not a good idea as my niece was clawed by one. the walk to the beach is about 1/2 hour walk. The bars and restarants by car is about 10/15 min."

"the hotel which i stayed in was very dirty, the rooms were unclean,the pool was dirty the hotel wasnt 400m from the beach which i was told at point of sale, there was no night time entertainment, resturants were a fair distance from hotel,and overall i was very disappointed with the whole holiday!"

"The appartments were very basic and miles away from the sea and all other amenities. Luckily we had hired a car otherwise we would have had to use taxis to go anywhere at all. There was a 2 ring stove but every time we used it the electricity went off so we had to go out to eat. Although the cleaners came most days, they only swept the floors! Sheets were only changed once a week and there were no other ones we could use. Unfortunately we were no inpressed with the hotel and would not use it again although the resort was beautiful and certainly a place we would chose to holiday in the future."

"This hotel looked better in the brochure, the service was very poor, the rooms very basic, there are no restaurants within easy walking distance. We were disappointed with location and description. The hotel food was very basic and service was extremely slow. Would not go back there again"

"For the price it is good. Some guests are not aware that Hotel is a little isolated, it is about one mile to local beach which is quite a walk in hot weather carrying beach towels, etc. Hotel should guide people to walk towards Gale beach not Salgados as it is closer.

The Hotel minibus seats about 7 people and will give you a lift to nearest town or supermarket, not the beach. Expect to wait as bus has to do several trips if more than 7 people want a lift.

Unfortunately Jacuzzi’s not working on roof tops of all accommodation blocks, they should remove this from their hotel description as it is misleading.

We have stayed three times now, in the last two years we have hired a car to have freedom to drive to supermarket(carrying drinking water easier in car), beach and local towns ourselves which works out cheaper than having transfers from airport and using taxis for evening trips to and from town.

Don't expect much from the hotel evening entertainment it is quite poor as there are insufficient guests who stay in the bar to justify cost of something better."

"The hotel was fine for the 2 days we spent there, however I would not have liked to stay any longer as there is nothing to do - you have to get a taxi into the town for any pubs/restaurants.
We weren't happy with 4 people in our group having to wait until 5pm to check into their rooms."

"only two problems was the cleaning service and laundry. Manager Alex did resolve this in the end, after 3 attempts with alot of complaing the room wasnt cleaned and sheets were on the bed for 10 days towels changed twice. , other problem was that main attraction for our booking was the jacuzzi on the rooftop did not get opended at all, poor excuse said our tour operater knew this however conflict of interest. too many flies due to open sewage work opposite the appartments, as there is alot of building work going on in this area, surrounding the appartements, you could smell the sewage all the time. This holiday was the first my partner and i had ever been on abroad it was mals 50th birthday and was also recovering from having major back operation that is why we booked these appartments with the jacuzzis on rooftop, not to be told that it wasnt false advertising in which it was. and to sleep in a dirty appartment, was not my ideal holiday."

"Bit out of the way and a dear enough trip in the taxi at 10 Euros each way into Albufeira but clean and good value for the money. Restaurants near by were nice but no night life to speak of unless you go into Albufeira"

"The Appartments Were Spotless, cleaned every day.
The staff were really helpful and there was entertainment on every night which

"hotel was great and very clean everybody friendly. only thing it is a very quiet place and only one shop walking distance really. but hotel bus goes into local village every day and that helped only the last bus back is 15.40 hours so you have to make your own way back by taxi if you wanted to stay a bit later."

Bathroom in need of modernisation (mould around bath)
Stairs into upstairs apartment are spiral and you have to watch your step especially carrying suitcases.
