Good breakfast
Room functional rather than fashionable, bathroom could do with modernising.
Plenty of hot water.

"Shocking hotel, never have I stayed or ever wish to stay in anywhere like that again. Surrounded by 70's wood panelling almost everywhere and the very rude woman within the breakfast room. We stayed on the 2nd floor which looked out over a square, very loud of a morning due to deliveries as the window only had secondary glazing. Every-time we flushed the toilet dirty brown water would coat the toilet. It was that bad in fact that it has changed my perception of northern portugal and my girlfriend and I have vowed never to return"

"Very helpful staff, no tea/coffee making facilities on arrival. When we returned pm new kettle in the room. Excellent breakfast. I suspect some people will expect too much as the 4 star rating could be considered misleading and would not compare to UK. However, they should remember that it would cost considerably more. Great value for money
Porto public transport system excellent. Eat you heart out Ken!"
Top Tip:
"Get the Porto card from the hotel or tourist office, (prices vary 1/2/3/days). Save a fortune on metro/buses/entrances."

"The overall condition of the hotel (e.g. furniture, rooms, toilets) was not as one would expect for a 4 star hotel. Internet not working.
Excellent service and breakfast, though."
Top Tip:
"public car parking just in front the hotel, for 8 € a day only, with gates and security.
15 mins walking to Port main square. You still need to leave the area to enjoy the best of Porto. I would recommend it for travellers with their own transports."
