  • TARYN from GLOUCESTER reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "I went to the Blue Bays with 2 aunties and it was perfect. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly we also benefited from being able to use the deluxe facilities. Our room overlooked the beautiful swimming pools.
The only downfall was the entertainment, same music every night and apart from the breakdancers very boring entertainment provided by the animation team, which was very dated.
Well done Blue Bays, top marks all round. We had a fantastic time."

  • Top Tip:

"I would recommend the friends bar which is right next to the deluxe. English music that you could dance to, oldies music was great for a sing a long and would definatley suit all ages."

  • CHRISTOPHER from BIRMINGHAM reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "Hotel was nice and clean, bar area cleaned everyday between 6.30 and 7pm. Food is ok, a little repetative, but lots of salad and there is always something you can eat. Entertainment is aimed at families, but is enjoyable with a kids disco every night. All Inclusive bar a little limited with just beer, wine, vodka or gin, but we managed to drink it dry so cant really complain!! We went as a group of 5 and stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment and had a fantastic time! Really close to the beach and lots of bars for miles on end!!"

  • MICHAEL from MANCHESTER reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "The hotel was quite good , although I would put it at 3 star. The food was acceptable but was lacking in variety on main courses. We often ate at the sister hotel Blue Bay Spa deluxe, which was adjoining. The entertainment at night was very basic and one night was more lavatorial humour and not particularly suitable for young children who were still there at 9.30pm, which was not unusual. The staff were very couteous and did everything to help when asked. The rooms were clean and spacious but the changing of towels was not always forthcoming, since there were three in our room and some days there were only towels for one and we had to ask for these. We also had to ask for toilet rolls one day. During the day round the pool some young people seemed to regard it more as an 18-30 Club holiday!!"

  • Top Tip:

"Their was plenty to do at night if you went onto the sea front. We went to one particular bar, Santana Kaoroke Dance Bar which was very good."

  • "Stayed 1st to 8th June 08

Most hotel staff at the hotel are friendly. We were first put in a twin room with a double bed, we asked for a room with two singles, the room was changed without any problem. The hotel is located 5 min walk from most of the lively pubs and the beach.

Food in resturant gets abit repetiative but well worth the money. The hotel itself is of a decent standard, you get what you pay for. The blue bay deluxe hotel facilities are available such as sauna etc. all great but blue bays hotel seemed to have the better atmosphere.

The hotel was really clean, maid service every day. Pool and surroundings spotless.

Music is played until approx. 11.30pm on a night at the outside bar. Good choice of music played through the day by pool and at night.

Did not have children with us but did notice:Activities are there for children up to 9.30pm on a night. The hotel puts on entertainment nights such as turkish night, etc. There okay."

  • wayne from llanelli reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "I booked this holiday last minute and from the photo's and the research which I did before booking, I must say that there were mixed reports out there.
The hotel was very clean and the rooms were ordinary but spacious. I had a 2 bed apartment in the hotel not the apartments. The rooms were adequate for my stay with 2 adults, 2 teenagers(15) and a 6 year old daughter.
The pool was excellent, 1.5m all away around and a kids pool next to the main pool. Plenty of sun loungers and plenty of room to sunbathe. The facilities were excellent, ranging from fitnes suite, sauna, steam room, table tennis, mini arcade, etc.
The entertainment team was one of the highlights of the holiday. The two girls would take the children at 10am til 12am and they would be back around 1500 hrs to take them again, Face painting etc. The 3 lads would entertain the holiday makers from 10am all away through til midnight, with water polo, poolside games and then the evening entertainment.
The food started off with plenty of selection, salads 4 different hot meals to choose from. Each day did vary but come the end of the week it was time to eat out. The choice for children was not great but they are trying to improve on it.
The choice of all inclusive would consist of kids cola, sprite, fanta etc. local lager, vodca, gin, rum, peach snaps, red and white wine. All of the above would be available from 10am til 2330hrs. Snacks were provided but at 1430-1530hrs. I must say that going all inclusive did pay off. Ice creams were not free.
overall i would recomend this holiday as you are well looked after, the beach is 2 minutes away with the night life 5 minutes away, consisting of shows etc."

  • Atakan from Hessle reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "The Hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean with a fridge and ample wardrobe space. The pool was large and clean and also offered 2 water slides in a seperate area. Table Tennis and Pool were available to play, but the hotel animation tram also supplied entertainment with competitions etc. But the one thing about this hotel that made it special was the food! We stayed All-Inclusive and the food was just outstanding. There was every salad you could think of plus a selection of 3 or 4 hot dishes too along with a different soup everyday. The desserts were to die for!! Even the breaksfasts had a huge selection of various meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits as well as cooked items like eggs and sausages. All the staff were courtious and effecient. I would reccommend this Hotel to anyone and we will definitely be going again."

  • "There was no entertainment of day or evening to entertain the children that were there. This was October half term and the last chance that parents like myself get to take children away. Food was lovely but the toilet at the pool area had not been cleaned for the week that we were there."

"Lovely little restaurant over the road called picadilly i think. Done a proper english breakfast for £1.90. Meals there are also lovely but be prepared to be stuffed!!!! They put plenty of food on the plate"

  • Karla from London reviewed the Blue Bays Hotel

  • "This should not be classed as a 4 star hotel. I travelled in a party of 10. My room had 2 adults and 1 infant and 1 child. An extra single bed was squeezed into the room to accomadte for us making the already small room more cramped. we had no room for our suitcases and the babies pushchair.

The maids only emptied the bins and made the beds. They failed to clean the bathroom or change our bedcovers. We had to call reception and request for this to be done which took a further 2 days.

I would NOT advise anyone to go all inclusive at this hotel. The food was awful and it was pretty much the same thing every day. chips, pizza and chips. Only one buffet resturant available and the opening times for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very limited with no alternative options. The queue's were always long it reminded me of school dinners. After the first two days we stopped eating meals at the hotel. The variety of alcohol was very limited and the service from the bar staff was very poor and unfriendly. Marmaris is a lovely place and apart from the disappointment of the all inclusive package we managed to have an enjoyable holiday."

  • Top Tip:

"The Tahagmal restuarant is absolutely lovely. the food, service decor and price was excellent we ate here 3 times. I strongly recommend this resturant to anyone. My friend didn't like Indian food before eating here and she loved it."

  • "17.05.07 - 24.05.07 - Blue Bay - Marmaris - 2 ppl - aged 24years old.
The hotel as a whole was very clean and tidy fresh towells everyday! on arrival to the hotel the reception staff were very friendly and we were guided to our room. The staff at pool bar were great and the people of Turkey are very approachable and friendly. We were all inclusive and the cost of the package holiday for me and my partner both 24 years old, was very cheap. We enjoyed staying at the hotel as the rooms were very clean, (bathrooms were very small) but clean and tidy, views from the hotel are stunning the food was okay you could make a meal from the options. The breakfast and the lunch was reasonable but dinner was always beautiful, you have to remember that it doesnt cost a lot to stay at the Blue Bays so dont expect steaks, theres plenty of chicken, fish, pasta, chops, potatoes, wedges, salads, bread, deserts, fruit etc. There is only two main options for breakfast and dinner and tea, but you can mix and match up meals to your taste. Breakfast hot (Egg, Toms, Toast, Sausage etc) and cold breakfast very nice. The drinks at the hotel bar are vodka, gin and larger (pilsner) and coffee and Teas, but they do an all inclusive cocktail which is nice and they can use coconut flavoured mixers or orange flavoured mixres to drinks to widen the range or drinks as theres only vodka, gin or larger. Overall i would recommend this hotel, the area its situated is 10 minute walk along the beach to the main centre of Marmaris, to be honest we stayed at the hotel till late every night as the entertainment was great and the bar staff are fabulous. The beach is a two minute walk from the hotel, i would recommend this hotel especially to the people who have children it was quiet in May but im sure it will pick up soon, the hotel has a great childrens swimming pool BUT the childrens ice-cream ARE NOT FREE! this could be where you may have to spend out! in general very nice and dont forget to see MEMHET for a turkish bath which is stunning with an oil massage for £20.00 ITS A MUST! dont go out in the street, the hotel is much cleaner and safe. Cant wait to go back in September i loved Turkey, compared to the spainsh holidays we've had (all being All-Inclusive) and our Cyprus holidays, we recommend Turkey as one of the fun, most enjoyable and so cheep, to eat out a 3 course meal on the Sea front of the harbour in Marmaris with wine cost us £20.00 for Steak for two of us! you could have lobster at £20.00 to share between 2. ABSOULTY FABULOUS! dont take too much clothes, Diesel Jeans for £4.00, tops and shoes and bags belts are cheap, Markets on a Thursday! Turkey is Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! cheap as chips!"

  • Top Tip:

"Piccadilys across the road, is very cheap for an english breakfast only £2.00, sometimes you just need a real breakfast, the food is great there you can get burger and chips, omlettes and fast food for £3.00 per meal!"
