"My daughter (aged 27) and I (56) had a wonderful time. The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. There was always plenty of choice at mealtimes - we went half-board. The location was great with a small sandy beach just a few yards away. Plenty of small shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance in Stalis. Other locations were also easily accessible by local bus service. A small 'animation' team provided a little entertainment every evening for a short time. We enjoyed their dancing and quiz nights."

"Rooms were newly refurbished and kept very clean. Staff were friendly and obliging and the hotel was right on the beach and within a few minutes walk of bars, restaurants, shops, etc. The local buses stopped right outside the hotel and were easy to use. The hotel has excellent facilities and the buffet style restaurant works well - our only slight reservation was with the menu, which, whilst the food was good, was slightly repetitive, especially if you were staying for a fortnight. We stayed at the end of the season, which probably suited us being in the "older people" category! All in all we had a very enjoyable week."

"holtel was good food terrible we where there for i week and the main course for 6 of those nights included pork pork kabbas belly pork pork in wine cold pork stewed pork you name it any way they could cook pork they did I was all inclusive but near the end of my stay i was going out for a meal. You can only eat soo much pork."

"The hotel has recently been re-built/refurbished so is very clean and modern. It looked liked the nicest hotel in the area. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children so had to stay in an apartment which is located outside of the hotel and down the road (about 100 metres). We were not sure about this at first but it was absolutely fine. The rooms were big and we had a good sea view. The food in the hotel was good. There weren't enough staff though so tables were in short supply sometimes and not cleared away very quickly. The reception and animation staff were very friendly. Maid service very good. Swimming pools were nice. A real mixture of nationalities also. Do not visit Malia (unless you want a good night club and you are young!)."

"The Blue Sea Village resort is truely first class. There are 3 pools, two of which are infinity and one of which has a pool bar with bar stools in the actually pool! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the towels and sheets were changed daily. Food was agreeable although all inclusive drinks were quite limited in selection. The staff would do anything to help you but certain members of the staff truely stood out more than others due to their excellent service skills. British tourists were in the minority (less than 5%) so the hotel is geared towards older foreign guests (enterainment in various languages, some food at dinner not always recognisable etc) but this did not present a major problem. As for location the hotel is less than 30mins from Heraklion airport (approx 40 euro taxi ride) and this journey can be done in 20mins with no traffic. The hotel is right on the beach with a beautiful view of the bay. Malia is a 5 minute taxi ride or a 30min approx walk down the main road. Very high class hotel which was a pleasure to stay in but for young people wanting an all night rave in Malia this hotel is not for them. Well worth a visit!"

"We've booked a sea view bungalow (sleeping up to 4 people) with seperate bedroom, but ended up in a hotel room. The room was very basic and old, but the cleaning service was excellent (cleaned & towel change daily).
The staff were fantastic (very polite & friendly). A special thank you to George in the main bar!
The food is okay.
The location of the complex is great, and the gardens are beautiful. Also the whole layout is great (location of pool, bar, restaurant).
The pool needs to be cleaned and more toilets installed, as one toilet block serves the pool, the bar & restaurant (located near the mainbar, quite far from the pool area)."

"accomodation was excellent, very clean and spacious, location was fantastic, food wasgreat, and the staff could not do enough to help you, i booked my sister a room privately and was given free air conditioning on arrival, also when i left i was given a beautiful box of white and rose wine, entertainment was also good this is a friendly family hotel, also caters well for children, hoping to go back next year"
