"The Sao Jorge bungalows are in a spectacular location.Views from our room over the cliffs were amazing.It is rather isolated so you will need a car, but it is a peaceful,quiet spot.The accomodation is adequate but would benefit from an update. Although clean and functional,the decor and bathroom equipment is a little jaded, and the pool and general surrounds have been neglected a bit.Breakfast was only average, but the restaurant was very good for dinner and reasonably priced.There were no other local alternatives.If you are looking for a modern luxury off the peg hotel, you won't find it here, but this place was a different experience and I would recommend a couple of nights stay, a full week might be too long!"

Hotel Details - Cabanas De Sao Jorge Village Hotel

The complex has been renovated recently and is surrounded by a garden, with 25 bungalows and 10 double rooms, located in traditional roundabouts and offer the newest comfort. The inviting lobby there is a reception open 24 hours a day with a safe. In addition, it has at its disposal a cafeteria, a kiosk, a craft shop, a TV room, a restaurant with capacity for 120 people, highchairs and a wide selection of dishes and snacks as well as a dining room. You can also relax in the billiard room with a glass of madeira or in the lobby fireplace.
