"Eight of us stayed for three nights on a half board basis. room was very spacious and the food was different class. stayed in four and five star hotels and this beats the lot. beds made and towels changed on a daily basis. food was buffet style so therefore plenty to eat and choice was amazing. only problem was that one of the night staff who contiually told people arriving late to be quiet even although they were not making a noise and he even threatened two women playing cards in the foyer with the police if they didnt stop laughing!! in a great location. situated on the beach and five mins into town centre. we have stayed in the resort on four previous occasions and in the future we will always stay there. everybody in the group thought we won a watch. we are golfers and this resort is perfect."

"Hotel is in an excellent location, right on the beach and close to restaurants. Pool area can get very crowded, however the beach is excellent and very close. Rooms are basic but were cleaned and serviced every day. Only negative comment would be the 10 euro per day parking charge which I thought was a little on the expensive side."

"We went to this hotel as a large family (12 people = 5 rooms) Hotel was in a very nice location with a private beach and just seconds away from the main shops and restaurants. not too noisey as the main night life is down at the bottom of the slight hill.
Main problem was there were not much evening entertainment but we didn't need this as we were able to make our own."

"Hotel staff were very nice and helpful on a whole, how ever we stopped going to the inside bar as all the staff on this bar were rather rude and un welcoming, as for the outside pool bar it was completely the opposite."

"Lovely hotel and our room was very spacious with a pretty sea view. Pool very good a nice to see a life guard in attendance in Spain. Plenty of food with lots of choice and selection. It was lovely to feel like you were having a spanish holiday in spanish rather than an english one. Would definately use this hotel again as the setting made the holiday very relaxing, just a shame the beach wasn't sandy but no faults at all"

"FANTASTIC.....
Rooms need updating....but other than that PERFECT.
We stayed for 10 day all inclusive.
Food was great.
Breakfast finished at 11 which meant there was no need to rush downstairs.
Pool lovely with a great view.
Beach was just underneath the pool, although not a private beach for the hotel it seemed like it.
Well worth paying the extra for a sea view as the others look onto the car park.
We had a fantastic time and will be going back to the hotel in the near future.
Great for families. Just a 3 minute walk to the centre of Playa de Aro where you can find everything you need. Shops, pharmacy, doctors etc...."

"Very well. Hotel on the beach. near any commoditées. The very good food! We were in one seen room sea view is splendid. I shall go back to it."

"HAD A FEW PROBLEMS CHECKING IN AT THE HOTEL DUE TO THE RECEPTION ONLY ALLOCATING US ONE ROOM WHEN WE SHOULD OF HAD TWO. HAD TO LEAVE THIS WITH THEM AS THEY SAID THIS WAS TRAVEL REPUBLIC MISTAKE AND RETURN IN A FEW HOURS. I SPOKE TO TRAVEL REPUBLIC BY PHONE AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL. THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED AND IT WAS THE RECEPTIONIST THAT HAD GOT CONFUSED AND WE DID HAVE TWO ROOMS AFTER ALL. TRAVEL REPUBLIC LATER PHONED ME AGAIN TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK WHICH I FOUND GREAT AS I WOULD DEFINATLY BOOK WITH TRAVEL REPUBLIC AGAIN . THANKYOU"

"The hotel was right on the beach, which was fine, but there wasn't enough sun beds if you wanted to stay around the pool.
Hotel had bigger grounds for cars than sun beds.
The hotel restaurant was very busy, and not enough staff to clear tables.
But found the staff very friendly.
Lots of French people holiday there, hardly any English."

"I really enjoyed it there, being young me and my friend had people talking to us, but the older people did find find them as sociable. I would definately go back to that place though."

"if you are contemplating staying here PLEASE READ THIS. Nearly all the staff in this hotel are anti English, rude and unhelpful, although the pool bar staff and most of waiting staff in reasteraunt o.k, fully inclusive brits are honestly treated like dirt, cannot eat outside on terrace kept for all for stanish guests, no service to tables, no clearing of tables, this is not only in this hotel but the resort of Playa dAro itself, we went to several bars and a couple of resteraunts and it is obvious they dont want "the british" in this resort, everyone we talked to who stayed on our week 21st June to 28th could not wait to leave, it is a great pity as although the food was good, and has a beutiful beach side situation, this experience has stopped my husband and I ever contemplating traveling to mainland spain again. Save your money guys, go elswhere, somewhere you will be welcome."

"Nice and clean hotel, backing on to the beach. Lovely views from the pool area. Good variety of food and lots of it, lots of Spanish food, but also pastas, fresh salads and fruits. Staff was helpful and friendly especially if you made an effort to speak their language. Spacious one bedroom apartment. Went AI with 10 y.o.sons and 20 month old. There was no cot in the room on arrival although requested but they brought one a few hours later after asking. Other family had same problem. Also, no highchairs available, only a few booster seats. When AI they put an armband around your wrist on arrival which we found a bit embarrasing when out and about,as if we were tagged prisoners. Snacks in between the meals were almost none existant but there was always icecream and lots of drinks. Complained about these issues in email on arriving home as well. Small kids club just started up day before we left. Our boys just enjoyed themselves on the beach, near the pool or in the games room. Main swimming pool and small childrens pool are not heated but were clean. We bought a little paddling pool/boat and filled it with water for the little one to play with.
We went for a nice and quiet family holiday and that's what we got. Would go again."

"The hotel provides good basic, clean accommodation at a very reasonable price. The food is excellant especially if you like to experiment with Spanish food. The staff at the hotel are friendly if you treat them with respect. If you are looking for a holiday with lots of Brits and Red Lion Pubs go to Loret, but if you are looking for a holiday with a real Spanish flavour this resort and Hotel are an excellant choice."

"Never a 4 star hotel! Sign says only 3 anyway... Room was small, no double neds only twins "put together". Aircon was feeble, glad it was n`t really hot.
The biggest complaint for me was the overpwering smell of fish when it was meal times! I personally hate fish and it killed my appetite, even my fish lover wife was put off after 4 days!
Another biggie, a brand new magazine "disappeared" from my room, posibly mistken for rubbish (?) the staff totally failed to deal with it... no replacement, apologies etc..."

"we being me 44 partner 48 are both wildly traveled wanted a cheap but cheerfully lazy break. We stayed here for one week from 3rd october to 10th october and had a excellent time, Like others I did read the reviews & decided thank-fully to go with the good reviews. we paid a all inculsive price of just £236 each including flights.
THE ROOM/ ROOMS?
we had booked a standard room which had a massive wordrobe & bathroom the room was also of a good size with plenty of room to leave your stuff around without feeling cramped ,We found the 2 beds which are bigger than singles as we could easy sleep in one with pleanty of room really comfortable. The balcony was a little small but was not over looked & had very pretty view of the trees & local birds,we left are balcony door open all the time allowing fresh air in but there was air con in the room if you needed at no extra cost.
We did change rooms on the secound day ONLY because a large group of teenage lads were making quite a lot of noise till the early hours, after mentioning this to the reception they offered us two othere rooms too view, we took the one with direct sea view large balcony and even larger room this was on the 4th floor, you can hear the sea as you sleep at night very relaxing.
both our rooms were very cleaned daily with fresh towels every day and bedding changed 3 times in the week.
FOOD
There is a excellent wide choice of food ie many types of fish sqiud octopus mackeral plus white fish pork beef lamb turkey chicken loads of varied salad dishes, so plenty for the vegs, there is also a wide choice of fresh bread somedays it would still be warm from the oven (tasty). There are some different dishes every day along with the normal salads pickles sauces etc. If you are not sure what the meat is just ask like we did. There is one chef cooking food at one end if you like your food hot.The sweets are very varided always four flavours of ice cream rice pudding carmels big bowls of fresh fruit plums pears apples nectarines etc along with all the sweet cakes too many to mention and as much as your tummy can take (lol) . There is a micorwave if you need to heat up your food, we only saw this used few times and that was to warm up milk on the breakfast cereal or to make hot chocolate. We had no problems with lack of plates or cutlery everything was perfect. You could even order a picnic if you were going out on a day trip but as we were having a lazy break we never used this service
SNACKS
I ask at reception as the all inclusive area was now all closed up as was the beach bar, about snacks all we had to do was order what we wanted at the bar, we never need to do this as we were always full up but there are cakes crisps & cuasants always at the bar if there is a need for a quick fix.
THE BAR
All I can say is that it must have been the month we stayed in because we was treated very well we had all are drinks in the plush bar area which has the most comfortable chairs ever, Although if paying guest where there they did seem to get preference. But this was not a problem.
THE INTERNET
There are two computors in the reception area you have to pay 50cents for about 10mins etc we did use them every day to check up on are emails etc. some kids used them to play games but there was never a problem in getting to use them,
THE POOL /BEACH AREA
We saw no flies here it was very clean the pool was spotless but the kids pool was not so clean as trees hanging over it, pleanty of sun loungers and space its directly on the beach, fantastic location There are walks either side of the beach to your left is a beautiful walk along the coast line where you will pass many coves with some wonderfully beachs, to the right is a long prominade lined with bars cafes shops etc, some shops do close around 1pm but reopen at 5pm till very late. Also plenty of spots for fishing
GRIPES
The only thing we couldn't understand was why the hotel wanted to charge us 11E per day for parking our hired car specially having paid for ALL inclusive. It wasn't even as if they were limited on parking spaces on their massive empty grounds.
Or again having to pay for renting the room safe. Maybe they don't yet fully understand the concept of ALL INCLUSIVE."

"After reading all the bad reports on Tripadvisor before going, I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel was not as bad as reported. You get what you pay for, this is a 3 star hotel, the rooms were clean, the food was passable and the st
