"The location of this hotel was great if you want a very quiet relaxing holiday which we did. We had a superb view from our room overlooking a charming little bay There were few English guests and a mixture of other nationalities. It was all inclusive with a help yourself system for drinks! The quality and variety of the food was very good. The beach is excellent great for swimming
The downside was the quality of the entertainment which consisted mainly of cash bingo and taped music!! the pool area is really too small for the amount of guests not enough sunbeds but the beach is only a few yards away."

"AI - food was first class."

"Nice hotel nothing special. No gym and very little to do other than sit around and play cards. Staff were pleasant and did their best to look after us but we were expecting more than we got."

"Nice location, spacious apart rooms, and a good selection of food.
However, bar staff were rude and arrogent, but the rest of the hotel staff were fine.
The nightly entertainment was pretty non existent apart from one night when there was a good acrobatic show.
Basically we had a good time, but I think the hotel is a good 3 star, not 4."

"A nice, clean hotel in a small but lovely resort. Not quite the 4 stars it claims to be but good food every day and a good selection from the "self-service" bar. Slight downside is that practically all the guests are German but because they are in the majority there's no towels at dawn but the entertainment is directed at them. We booked an apartment even though we were all-inclusive which was spacious and clean although the decor was a little tired. There are a couple of restaurants in the resort but we didn't feel the need to eat out, there are also some shops, a bakery and a pharmacy so you can get your hands on most things although as mentioned in previous comments there didn't seem to be anywhere selling cigarettes. We would definately come back for a quick week in the sun in low season but I think a fortnight in high season would be too much."

"Very plesant stay, would not return to this area as it only seems to cater for German Tourists."

"Very pleased with standard - had read some bad comments but we are all aged 56- 63 and it suited us fine.Staff helpful - extra pillows were given - no complaints.
Lovely area not commercialised and very few English"

"We have many positive comments regarding our stay at this resort and indeed our hotel, Canyamel Classic. There are also some negative ones. Dealing with these first, the food was very good with a wide variety of salads and meat dishes that were constantly being replenished. However, it did seem a tad repetitive after a few days. The pool and surrounding pool area were clean but compared to other 4* hotels we have stayed at, seemed cramped when taking on the number of guests staying with little space for adequate sunbeds and parasols. Entertainment was geared up for the German clientel. Fair enough as they tend to have high standards generally, but not regarding music or indeed comedy, and not really 4* in my mind, but the animation staff did work very hard. Apart from these few negative comments we (wife, 2 kids, 8 and 6, and mother in law) loved the quiet, under developed location with no sign of oik British culture that can infest in other areas on this beautiful Island. The coastline is truly magnificent, and the Caves at Arta just 2K away by foot are an absolute must see. Stunning.
In many ways I dont want to tell you about the excellent staff at this hotel and the accomodating manner in which any of our requests were dealt with because this, coupled with the beautiful quiet resort, may help to make Canymel a more popular resort and a less well kept secret."

"Lovely quiet hotel, well furnished rooms and a good range of meals and drinks for all-inclusive guests. The resort itself is beautiful, although very quiet at night."
