"The only thing that spoilt this holiday was the weather, everything else we couldn't fault. The hotel staff were fantastic with children and were very welcoming and efficient. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly each day, except Monday. The location for the beach was perfect and the grounds were all immaculate. There were plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas, there was plenty to do for children as the entertainment team worked very hard. The facilities on offer were clean and available most hours, there was even a free tumble dryer. The entertainment was a little on the poor side which may be a problem to some as there was a fair walk into the centre of Alcudia or Can Picafort. We hired a car so this wasn't a problem. At breakfast there was plenty on offer and all was beautifully presented, there was a chef at the hot plate serving freshly cooked fried eggs, omlettes and crepes every morning and numerous amounts of bread, fruit and drinks were available. If you like your English breakfast however, this may be a problem as out of the 8 mornings there were 2 occasions this was served. The majority of the guests were German, which we didn't find a problem at all. All in all this holiday was fantastic and we would highly recommend this hotel and would definately return when the weather is a little better."

"We have recently returned from Eden Playa Hotel, this was our second visit to Playa De Muro. The hotel is very similar to Playa Garden Hotel next door. The hotel was immaculately clean, the food was above average for half board restaurant. Hotel facilities were great with direct access to sandy beach.

This hotel is populated with german holiday makers therefore entertainment was mostly in german. The entertainment was very disappointing. There were few proffessional shows with most of it being caried out by staff from the hotel kids club. These staff worked hard but not our cup of tea.

There are no bars on the beach so you have to walk back into the hotel grounds to get a drink.

On the whole a fab holiday!!!!"

"We asked for a rea view room and th hotel had no record of this, so it is pointless requesting. We then asked to extend our stay but it would appear that this was 'not possible as we had since departed'."

"Great hotel for a young family. Good facilities, nice pool and right on the beach. Not a great deal to do in the local area, but a bus service will take you to Alcudia if you want something more liveley."

"Had a great 2 weeks at the Eden Playa in Playa de Muro, my only crticism would be the evening entertainment was aimed primarily at very young children, and if you had teenage children or no children with you on holiday it leaves the evining a little bit flat.

However my son who is 13 managed to make friends with boys from Sweden and Germany staying at the holiday and had a great time.

Food was of excellent quality and enough variety to suit all tastes, hotel facilities were very good, I used the gym and sauna a couple of times a week during our stay and this was kept very clean.

Apartment was fine having a seperate bedroom meant my wife and I had some privacy and our son had the lounge area to himself.

All the staff very very friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of Germans staying at the hotel but that goes for most of Majorca during holiday season, so if you are looking to meant some fellow poms then they are thin on the ground, me I prefer to cut myself of from the UK for my entire holiday so it did not worry us."

Well behaved guests (majority German, Swiss - very few Brits thanks goodness) made staying here a pleasure!

"The staff were polite and helpful, however we ate out and did not see any of the entertainment. Although we did try scuba diving in the pool one afternoon. The rooms were pleasent and kept clean as were the grounds."

"This was our second trip to the Eden playa and I am sorry to say that we didn't enjoy this trip half as much as our previous trip. The air conditioning in the room did not work and when it did come on it blew hot air, the hotel management said this is because some guests were cold, despite it being 25C! We had no hot water 2 mornings in a row, which whilst it was fixed within a few hours was very disappointing.

You should note that the hotel is mainly populated with German clientel and that the Majorcan idea of 4 star does not really match the English, I would rate the hotel as a very good 3 Star.

Generally however this is a great hotel for those with kids, it has great facilities and being so close to the beach really is a bonus."

"lovely quiet hotel on a great beach, apartment nice, clean, we had a sea view which was lovely, lots of toddlers but very quiet at night. Good pool but a bit cold. Lots of sunbeds and parasols."

"The Eden Playa Hotel was very family friendly, clean, well maintained and self sufficient for the majority of a family's needs. Room had basic decor, but very clean as rooms were cleaned 6 of the 7 days we were there. There was plenty of storage space and the beds were quite comfortable. The buffet restaurant was very good with plenty of choice for adults, although kids corner had little choice, but our 2 small kids often picked what we were having. Outdoor pool very spacious and clean with a good shallow end for tots. Unfortunately the weather was bad for most of the week so the pool was quite cold when we used it. Indoor pool not heated - very cold. Beach just outside the hotel - nice and very convenient. Only grudge - only 4 out of 6 of the reception staff understood and spoke good english - all could speak and understand fluent German which many of the guests were. Mini discos great in evenings for the small kids.

"Although the weather was disappointing we still had a very nice holiday at the Eden Playa.Our room was comfortable and big enough though certainly not luxurious.The tv was a portable.The pool was excellent and proximity to the beach only about 30 yards.The entertainment was mostly German but quite entertaining.The thing about going to a hotel with a lot of German customers is that the children behave properly and there arent alot of English people being loud.
We chose to eat out each night but choice is very limited in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.The steak I had at Bull Steaks house was a bit tough.The pub/restaurant 30 yards further on past the Irish bar was much better value and a far better steak.Can Piccafort is only 2 miles up the road and has dozens of restaurants.5 euros takes you there in a taxi.The Albufera nature reserve is accross the road and well worth a visit in the cool of the evening or early morning."
