"Very pleased with hotel. Great location near beach and shops. Reception staff very friendly and all have excellent english. Room was spacious and kept very clean. Breakfasts were more than adequate (usual fare). Only slight complaints were that the sliding doors to the terrace were difficult to open and that the en-suite toilet occasionally smelt a bit "off"."

"Very good value for money, right in the centre of Marbella. Although the furniture in the hotel is "out of Noah's Ark", it is kept very clean by the very friendly maids. The reception staff are excellent and very helpful. The only minus point for the hotel is that it is very noisy. The doors seem to make more noise than any other hotel that we have stayed at. The reasons being are that they are big heavy doors and 75% of the clients have no consideration for anyone other than themselves and slam them shut every time they use them, be it 3pm or 3am."
Top Tip:
"We found a British bar that has not long opened called "Twenty six". It's situated just off the main promenade close to Marbella Maritime/Yacht Club, and only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. "Hotel itself was okay, rooms clean and fair size with nice bathroom and air-con. However, swimming pool was very small and was completely shaded by 4.30. Poolside bar was never open and very little atmosphere. The view from 50% of the rooms looked onto concrete wasteland and was not very pleasant. As a group of young girls we had high expectations about the nightlife surrounding the el Faro Inn, however it was not ideal. Although there were pleanty of lovely beach restaurants and bars they were more suited to a relaxing and quiet night out and everything seemed to stop around 1.30am. All the nightlife was in puerto- banus which was around 12 Euros in a taxi - but be warned - sometimes the taxis took around an hour to pick up.
We stayed for 10 nights but feel this hotel is best for weekend stays."Top Tip:

"Had an excellent time, hotel right in the middle of things, very near to the beach, restaurants and shops. There was a few hen and stags do's on whilst we stayed and they all came in very late !! However we were always guaranteed a sun bed around the pool due to their late nights. We are already planning our next visit - Cannot express enough the brilliant time we had."

"I couldn't rate this hotel more highly. Fantastic value, great location and the staff were amazing! They arranged all our travel, opened doors, carried drinks and gave little extras like olives and crisps when we ordered at the bar. All 11 of us hope to return next year!!"

"Although quite basic looking on various websites, the hotel is really clean and has a handy kitchenette and fridge.
The location is excellent with the beach just a few meters away and bars and restaurants literally on the door step. I would recommend this to those who are 25 years plus or groups on hen and stag do's."Top Tip:

"Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions in the last 12 months and can recommend it for it's cleanliness and the friendliness of it's people on reception as well as the chambermaids. One major problem with the hotel is the number of hen nights they get, especially at weekends. Most of these groups are a little noisy but do not spoil your stay, but you can get some that go way over the top, like a group from London that we had on our last stay. Not only were they really noisy, but were rude, using foul language in front of everyone even children. Another problem with the hotel is the slamming of doors day and night. They seem to make more noise than any other hotel that I have stayed at.
Two major plusses for the hotel are it's location near the seafront and bars/restaurants, and the fact that every room has a small kitchenette with fridge."Top Tip:
"Opposite the hotel are three tapas bars, the one called " En 10 mins " I can recommend. Also, there's another about 100 yards up the road called La Bodeguetto which is very good. "I have stayed at this hotel several times, but on my last visit I noticed that the "breakfast", which was very poor in the past has improved a little. They now have two cereals available. There is still a big problem with noise from other guests slamming doors closed ( it is quite easy to close them quietly ) at all times of the day and night. The doors at this hotel seem to make a lot more noise than any other hotels that I have stayed at, maybe because they are a lot more solid than most hotel doors. The management could make this less of a disturbance if they would stick foam strips along the door jams. Even with the noise I would recommend this hotel for great value for money."

"The staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent service and very friendly. The rooms were lovely and we had clean towells every day!
Breakfast was great.
