"Lovely hotel, lovely people, lovely weather. Plenty of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes although there were no Chinese or Indian Restaurants, but we ate somewhere different every night and only had one bad time. Lambros and his crew at the Golden Days are fantastic and treat everyone as their friend. English breakfast there was great,had it every day. Plenty sun-beds, nice pool although it looked as though the pumps werent working and it was a bit dirty, but it didnt spoil our entertainment. Would definately go there again"

"The Hotel was very friendly and the staff helpful, it was very clean, the only down side was that the sun beds could not put in a sitting position a very miner detail."

"We have just returned from celebrating our son's wedding in Rhodes (Kalithea Spa) and most of the wedding party (a wide age group) stayed at Golden Days. From the moment we arrived in the early hours we were made to feel welcome and part of the Golden Days family! Lambros, in particular, went out of his way to give practical help and advice on everything from local amenities, taxis and the pitfalls of clubbing in Falaraki. He genuinely had the welfare of every guest of every age at heart. Carol cheerfully and efficiently tracked down lost luggage and dealt with any other problem that arose. Because a large number of guests were repeat visitors the staff felt like friends and fantastic relationships were built. Yannis kept us entertained with practical jokes! The rooms are basic but very clean with limited cooking facilities (as is the norm in greek studios) but food served in golden days is delicious and reasonably priced . Local restaurants are many. The Karaoke evening was great fun and Lambros again made the evening! (Along with the pink drinks!!) After a day spent exploring Rhodes we really felt we were coming home and could really relax and unwind in Golden Days. When we left there were hugs all round and we were waved off with real affection. Thanks to the team for making our stay (and the wedding) so memorable."

"As an older couple, who go for a relaxing holiday without too much noise from children we were pleasantly surprised - the hotel/studio accommodation was clean, well serviced and typically Greek. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, and not overpowering, they were only there if you asked for help - there was good entertainment available within the Hotel if you wished to stay in the hotel, although we went out most evenings into Afandou. The pool is separated from the garden area which allows people who want quiet time away from children playing in the pool the opportunity to relax which was excellent. We would definitely consider going again, and certainly the Hotel seems to have a large number of regular guests. Afandou has not been spoilt by tourism and is still a village at heart with locals eating in many of the restuarants - a good sign. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday."
Top Tip:
"We enjoyed sharing the Greek way of life, and found eating in Mini's which was run by the whole family very enjoyable and the food was good quality, fast and Greek. Life Garden was good, and again the food was good and Greek. If going down to the beach which is about 15/20 mins walk away be prepared with iced water, snacks etc. Once down there it was very pleasant and sunbeds and umbrellas available at a cost of 3.50 euros. The beach was a little pebbly, but once in the sea it was very safe with small children, and indeed there were a large number of locals and visiting Greeks down at the beach. The trip to Symi is well worth while, although be aware that it can get very hot. I would recommend travelling via catamaran and having a good local guide to give the history of the island. The artists co-operative is very interesting, as is the sponge shops. Lindos is also worth visiting, again be aware that it can get VERY HOT and the donkeys have right of way! If you are thinking of going up to the coliseum take your own iced water, and take your time... it's very steep but fantastic once up there. "i have been to this hotel before - the staff are fantastic and many people return year after year. The location is good - it takes a ten minute relaxing stroll down to Afandou village centre."

"rooms as expected, for greece! very clean, staff excellent ,entertainment most nights, pool clean if not a bit small (not enough sun beds) the beach a bit to far to walk but can be done,we were in rooms 58 & 60 which is to close to the bar for comfort!!! and kept awake till 4 am some nights.
afandou village itself is ok but not much to do at night ,locals friendly we ate every night in the "for seasons" terverna!"Top Tip:

Hotel Details - Golden Days Hotel
The Golden Days Aparthotel, recently renovated is ideally situated in the centre of the traditional Village of Afandou, just 1,200 metres (15 minutes walk) from one of the most popular beaches on the island, Afandou Beach, which offers all the usual water sporting activities. Close to the beach is the important Byzzantine Church, known as Katholiki and the modern golf course.
Accommodation
The hotel comprise of 41 comfortable rooms and studios (90 beds), of which all are equipped with direct dial telephone, bathroom with shower, 24 hours air conditioning at an extra charge. The studios are additionally equipped with a fridge and kitchenette with 2 cooking rings. All accommodation have either a balcony or terrace which hold a pool or garden view.
Food & Beverage
The complex has a breakfast room, restaurant, main bar and a pool snack bar.
Sports & Leisure
Sporting and leisure activities include an adults swimming pool, childrens swimming pool, complimentary sun beds and parasols, childrens playground and a pool table.
