"The hotel was very clean although it the decor could have donr with a bit of touching up in places.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and when a problem with the door to the balcony of our room was reported a maintenance man was there within minutes.

The food was plentiful and the menu varied with various theme nights. The only negative comment on the food was that sometimes the soup and some of the main courses were not as hot as would be desired.

Overall it was a very pleaseant place to stay and Playa Blanca is a very nice area, particularly as no one hassles you and you are left alone to browse or walk as you wish.

I would go back."

"Very good clean hotel stunning to look at ,rooms were large and quiet with a great sea view.Helpful friendly staff ,food was good with lots of choice.
Seats in the entertainment bar were different, the evening entertainment itself could be a bit repetative but OK."

"Hotel was very good although for our 5 year old the walk to the resort centre was long and tiring.

Children's pool was ideal at 1m deep with easy stroll in access but big enough to allow swimming rather than just splashing about."

"The food at the pool side restaurant seems to have deteriorated since last year the quality of the meals was very hit or miss. Stick to pizza, lasagne or omelettes for good meals. Pool seemed cooler."

"I have stayed at the Timanfaya Hotel 6 times now and would be happy to go back.
I was disappointed however that the triple room was no different to a standard room as a put up bed was supplied when I was hoping for a proper bed, but I would imagine this was down to your supplier - Do not offer it if it does not make any different, but the price did, so I am not sure what I got extra for asking for a triple room versus a standard room."

"Having read some bad reports on this hotel on trip advisor we nearly didn't book this hotel! Having already been to a H10 hotel before we decided to take the risk. We had a fantastic time the hotel was spotless, the food was excellent, everyone was friendly and we were even allocated a room with a sea view on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The hotel buildings looked most impressive much nicer than the Rubicon Palace H10 just up the road and also in a better location!! The only bad thing I could say is that the en-suite looked a bit dated with the fittings being tarnished but it was very clean so not a problem for us. This hotel is a good 30 minute walk from the centre of Playa Blanca, we liked it because it had lovely views of the sea and wasn't in the centre of town but families may like to be a little closer. We hired a car from the airport so location and site seeing was not a problem for us. The age group at the hotel was very mixed, quite a lot of Spanish people were there some English, French & Germans. They did have a childrens club but children's acitivies may be limited at this hotel if that is what you are looking for. The pool area was cleaned daily and you were given a card at the reception upon arrival for free use of towels for the pool (one point though the pool was very very cold!).
We would definately go back to this hotel again if we ever return back to Lanzarote."

"The hotel has beautiful pool and garden areas, there was never a problem getting a sunbed, the only downside regarding the pools were that none of them were heated, not even the paddling pool! The restaurant had a good choice of food and the meal times were excellent i.e. breakfast 8.00 - 10.30 am and evening meal 6.30 - 10.00 pm. The entertainments team were very enthusiastic about there job and our children loved the mini disco (although that might have been something to do with the sweets and balloons that they gave out afterwards)!!

The room was adequate although not very big and in need of refurbishment. The room wasn't very spacious for a quadruple room and storage space was limited.

However, we had a fabulous holiday"

"After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we were a little anxious as to what we could expect. Our fears were unfounded. The hotel was first class. The food was excellent with a very wide choice. The room was spacious and very conveniently placed for access to all parts of the hotel. Our only concern was that simple amenities, e.g. tea-making, fridge, etc. were available at extra cost. The outside areas, pool, gardens, etc. were superb and not overcrowded."

"The hotel was a 4 star hotel and the room (we had a suite) was very nice and had separate beroom for our children. It is located on the sea front, close to the town (15 mins walk along the sea front path), without all the noise from a town centre. The two things that let the hotel down were the pools (too cold for adults and OK for daring children) and the food - buffet dinners every night felt more like a glorified canteen. Next time it would be best to go only B&B,"
