"Our room was described as a "garden view" and in actual fact it had a very small garden but looked onto the loading bay of the hotel next door which at times (and this includes during the night) was very noisy."

"The apartments were just OK to be honest. The room was a bit grotty and in need of a makeover! In saying that it was clean and the maid did come everday.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was spot on - close enough to all the bars, nightlife and places to eat but still remaing quiet.

Overall, you get what you pay for with these apartments - cheap therefore they certainly aren't 5* luxury!"

"Hacienda Del Sol - I was pleasantly surprised at these apartments as I had read some owful reviews. I felt safe and all staff were friendly. The apartments were clean and the pool area was really relaxing and there was plenty space for all to enjoy. I certainly would stay here again."

"The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly but we found it very difficult to sleep at night with with groups of of young people coming back to the hotel and making lots of noise knocking on each other doors and talking very loud outside our room. Also difficult to catch up in the day as staff were cutting down trees,repairing the pool which involved drilling and decorating the reception which was almost next door to us. maybe we were just unlucky to pick that week but would not go back again"

"I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ALL AGES, I HAVE STAYED HEAR TWICE NOW AND HAD NO COMPLAINTS. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND WILL DO ALL THEY CAN TO FULFILL ALL OF YOUR NEEDS AND ANY CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE. THE FOOD IS AMAZING AND RESONABLY PRICED. THE LOCATION IS FANTASTIC AND THE MAID SERVICE IS ALWAYS TO A HIGH STANDARD. THE ONLY DOWNER TO THE THE HOTEL IS THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO AIR CON BUT APART FROM THAT DEFINATLEY A THUMBS UP."

"the hotel is in a great location a 5 min walk to the beach and pretty much right next to the nightlife. probably more suitable for younger people although never really had a problem with noise and i would certainly go back."

"Hotel was clean enough.
Pool was far too small for the size, unless you get up early to "reserve" your sunbed you don't get one. This is against their rules by the way , which they don't enforce.
When you arrive a notice tells you there is a 30 euro deposit( we weren't asked for a deposit ) which you will lose if you damage anything or make noise after midnight ( again not enforced)
We endured 10 nights of no sleep, with groups of boys or girls coming home between 1am and 4am shouting and screaming, ringing doorbells and running down corridors and slamming doors.
We did ask staff to get the night security man to control this but nothing was done.
I would never ever advise an older couple or people with children to stay here.
Most of the rooms seem to be occupied with single sex teenage groups who have no respect for anybody else.
Removing doorbells would be a good start to stop the silly teenagers ringing them at 4am and run away giggling."

"Just returned from Hacienda Del Sol we are 35 & 42, had a great time, really near to nightlife and beach. Only saw one cockroach, room clean didnt here much noise in the evening, only complaint is rooms really need air con they are so hot even after we hired a fan. Bar reps are really annoying i dont need dragging into a bar."

"was a good holiday however the hotel never seemed to offer enough sunbeds by the pool, meaning we had to go out to other pools during the day every day or the beach. In the whole 10 days we only managed to sit by the pool once."

"The hotel itself was abit grungy and basic but the staff where amazing!!, was worried bout cockroaches but only had two in our room whole time (well ones i seen), one i had a shower with! *shudders* and at night the place is swarming, going down loads off steps to get to hotel room was nightmare as the cockroaches where every and i spent most the time running down theam screaming me head off and not loosening the crip on my mate as if she was going to save me,
The hotel is a nice walk to the beach but is up hill coming back, and is right in the centre of the nightlife, which in my opion is good as was quick walk home when pissed.
I would use the hacienda again, i stayed in the palmeras (next door to the dubliner) a 4 star rated hotel three nights with friends and the rooms where smaller and smelt there, food had flies in it and drinks where waterd down, so the hacienda is a brilliant place for its rating and i would recomend to anyone."

"Fantastic hotel. Got a bit of a shock when, after a noisy night we had to pay the 120 euro deposit that we hadn't been informed about brfore-3 nights into our stay but we got it back when we left and after that they put out signage so people knew and paid when they arrived. Much nicer accomodation than we expected for the price and star rating. Would definitely stay there again!"

"The hotel is excellent for people enjoying the nightlife, being right in the centre of clubland. Can be noisy at night as everyone returns, and often jump in the pool.
So also fine for families and older people who don't mind broken nights!
Could do with air con, as very hot at night, but fans can be hired from reception.
The buildings and grounds are very pretty, with large plants and clean bright rooms.
The beach is a few minutes walk away."
