"Our hotel (Hesperia Lanzarote) was gorgeous. It was real luxury. Lovely rooms, wonderful restaurant for breakfast, fabulous spa. Our only criticism is that there was only one restaurant open for dinner in the hotel in the evenings, everything else closing at 6pm, and the restaurant that's open is quite expensive. Also, they allow smoking at breakfast outside, which in our opinion shouldn't be allowed when there's food being eaten and the tables are in such close proximity. I realise it's part of the culture there - everyone seems to puff away regularly - but a couple of times we had to move as we were being smoked over. We mentioned this to the hotel in their guest survey. Otherwise, lovely."

"The hotel in general was very nice, clean and tidy. However some of the bar staff and waiters had 'dont care' ' cant be bothered' attitude. The entertainment was very disappointing especially for
two 16 year olds."

"the hesperia lanzerote was one of the nicest hotels i have been to!
we recieved champagne on arrival and were given a lovely, spacious room. the breakfasts were lovely with lots of choice. all the staff are extremely helpfull and attentative during meals.
we went bed and breakfast which would reccomend as there is a lovely marina about 10 mins walk away which has about 10 small restatrantes, a supermarket and a few clothes shops. we did eat in the hotel buffet one night which was nice but would probably get a bit boring after a week.
i would definately reccomend this hotel, especially to couples who are wanting a nice quiet holiday"

"Lovely hotel. 10 mins stroll from a marina with some restaurants, bars and shops. Just right for us 50+ but may be too quiet for young people who want to party. Good pool facilities for families, but no beach.
Great for a relaxing get away from it all holiday.
Breakfast facilities and food was excellent"

"The hotel was great, breakfast was lovely. Can see why it has 5 star rating for the facilities, however the decor in the rooms was a little tired. The staff were mostly friendly, although alot were limited with their English which was a bit of a pain. All in all would definitely go back and recomend it to anyone."

"Calero is a pleasant small marina resort of a good quality with about a dozen reasonable bars and restaurants on the waterfront. The Sea View rooms at the Hotel Hesparia offer a terrific panorama down the coast and over the water to Fuertaventura. The centre of Calero is a gentle 15 minute stroll from the hotel along a pedestrian-only prom (a three euro taxi ride back)."

"The staff are very slow in providing service and they seem to unaware of what is available at the hotel.
The childrens club only caters for Spanish speakers, it is only suitable for children under the age of 5, this was a very big disappointment."

"We loved this hotel....very cool, sophisticated ambience. Not the best buffet ever, but more than adequate. Abundance of sunbeds and parasols at anytime of the day. Pool area spotlessly clean. Our 7 year old virtually had a pool to herself. Rooms, house keeping, etc faultless. Very relaxing hotel."

"An excellent choice of hotel for a relaxing romantic week to celebrate our silver wedding in October. The champagne on arrival was a lovely welcome. We didn't pay the extra for a sea view, what we got was a part view of the mountains and a nearby harbour, beautiful. The room was spotless every day, enormous double bed. Breakfast was great, something for every taste, including champagne. Lots of deckchairs & pools to choose from, sometimes you had a huge pool to yourself. We liked the quietness of the hotel at that time year, apparently during summer it is really busy. Entertainment was limited but we had enjoyable evenings at the restaurants at Puerto Calero, a short walk from the hotel, overlooking the harbour. Didn't eat any meals except breakfast at the hotel simply because we wanted to try different places."
