"Beach N/A

Although double room with nile view booked, I was initially given a room without a view. This was rectified but not until the followiung day as I nwas informed no Nile view rooms were available.

Room was clean and the room service good, however there was no air conditioning so sleeping in the heat of an Egyptian room difficult."

"For the price I paid this is a more than excellent hotel for me. Will come again next year. Staff are very friendly and everything is clean.. No way 5 star but that is not what I expected and would feel at home at. A friend had to go to hospital and hotel staff voluntarily and kindly prepared a free meal to take to hospital. Good views from top floor with pool. Good for several dips but no strokes a la Phelps. The olympic size swimming pool is just over the road for that. Most people book the front rooms
on the main road, however some of them asked to change into a room facing the side street, as they thought it was too noisy in the nights. this never seemed to be a problem for the staff to change rooms. As I and most of Luxor is out till at least 04:00 the noise did not bother me and also as a single I was put up on the side anyway."
Top Tip:
"Apart from the unique sights my tip would be to walk out of the hotel and let yourself go in egyptian life. Around Medina and Television str. Smoke a sheesha in the evening/night and the hundreds of locals will all talk to you and see a community that is warm open and close
with eachother. Something that does not exist here in the cool north. Be streetwise but be open and see temporary life, and believe me nightlife"

"We have stayed here twice this year at the beginning of May and first week of October. Although the rooms are basic and dated we find the hotel clean and friendly. Drinks are cheap. When we go back to Luxor we will stay here again."
Top Tip:
"Restaurants cater for british paletes which is a shame. We found an egyptian restaurant called the Roof Terrace which is above snappy snacks at the back of Luxor Temple. Where you can eat egyptian fare have a go on a hubbly bubbly for 5 egyptian pounds. No alcohol served."
