"We were treated with the utmost respect and everything we asked for we were given. This was not a beach holiday and although we thought the Riad was very comfortable with excellent service and close to all we wanted to see, it was not necessarily ideal for people who didn't want to live amongst the locals. The hotel rep also gave us excellent service, ensuring we were escorted from and right back to the Riad door, with English speaking guides when we went on any of the tours. He also ensured that we had directions to all the places of interest.
I cannot fault the Riad or the treatment we received whilst in Morocco."

"This Riad was fantistic no minus points at all the staff friendly and helpful totally satisfied with the hospitality catering housekeeping it was the works nothing but praise for Hamid and his staff who worked tirelessly to ensure that all our needs were catered for i WILL be going back ."
Top Tip:
"Make sure that you telephone the riad when you get to Marrakech to ensure that you are being met by someone and you are not left to be walked there by one of the numerous young men just waiting beside the drop off point."

"Fantastic Riad with excellent service. A little haven amongst the narrow streets of the Medina.
Unexpected splendour.
Unbelievable design and decor by the French owner.
The staff led by Hamed spoke little English but we got by with a little school book french and a lot of mime which made us all laugh.
This is a gem of a place ideal for couples wanting a peaceful, special time.
The staff made us a fabulous meal on request.
Please note the taxi cannot reach the door. A young man with a cart takes the cases and you follow on foot.
It is well worth a visit."
Top Tip:
"Cafe Arabe is quite close to the hotel and one of the few places in the Medina which sells alcohol. It has a room top terrace and very up market."

Hotel Details - Riad Alhambra Hotel

Official Rating - 1st Cat - Bed & Breakfast

Riad Alhambra, dating from the 16th century has been lovingly and discreetly restored in the pure Moroccan tradition. It is nestled in the heart of the old medina with direct access by car, next door to the Medersa Ben Youssef and the Marrakesh museum. Only three minutes from souks and eight minutes walk from the Jemaa El Fnaa square. Dar Alhambra is ideally suited for families or couples wishing to enjoy Riad and all its amenities.

Accommodation

The six very comfortable and delicately decorated double rooms are equipped with separate private bathrooms, air conditioning and central heating. Four have a fireplace. The rooms are of different sizes, and five have a lounge area.

Food & Beverage

Meals and aperitifs can be served when and where guests desire; in the bedroom, the open sitting rooms, the Moroccan drawing-room, the dining room or on the terrace.

Sports & Leisure

The Riad boasts a traditional Moroccan Hammam (reservation is required). Massage and beauty treatments are also available (upon request). A traditional Andalusian style guitarist and/or Gnaoua musicians can be invited to perform in the Riad Excursions& visits to the Atlantic ocean, to the mountains or to the desert can be arranged at guests convenience.

Facilities & Services

The hotel offers airport pick-up service (upon request), high speed internet, telephone and fax in the office. Visa credit-card payment is also available.

Useful Information

Life circulates around the cool, central, marble floored patio with an antique fountain in its centre. Next to the patio are two delightful small, open sitting-rooms. The Dar Alhambra rooftop terrace offers splendid views of the Koutoubia, the high Atlas Mountains, and superb sunsets as well as privileged dining and sun bathing.
