"Hotel was great - very friendly staff. Central location and you can walk to most places in central Funchal. We were there just after New Year and all the Christmas lights were still up and looked lovely in the adjacent Municipal Gardens. Because it is so convenient for the town centre it probably could be a bit noisy in high season but we did not have a problem in early January. The buffet breakfast was fairly basic but there was enough there to keep you going all day. Would certainly go back there."
Top Tip:
"There was a very good restaurant called The Cellar (in Portuguese of course) just round the corner - not too expensive but much better quality than some similarly priced restaurants. We also particularly enjoyed the Palheiro Gardens."

Location

The rooms are confortable and bright. Most rooms have large panoramic windows with views over the neighbouring Municipal Gardens or surroundings.

This hotel does not have a restaurant. However, there is bar, for those that wish to have a refreshment. Breakfast is served on the first floor.

This is a modern style building.

This hotel is perfect for those that wish to stay in the city centre. There are many good restaurants close to the hotel with appetising local dishes such as Tuna Stake biff or "Espetada" which is a typical Madeiran grilled meat on a skewer. There are also loads of good shops close by. (DDS 06/08)
