"Upon arrival, we all thought what a nice place, close to the beech, supermarket and local bus stop both only 50m away. All local tavernas within walking distance. Everything that you would hope for - especially if you know Skiathos. The room was very spacious and one of the best we've stayed in on a summer break. We are a family, mysel my wife and kids. The resort of Troulos is very good, but the hotel in my opinion lacks certain things, ie sparkle, effort from the staff, the breakfast was very basic and as for the rest of the day, please be prepared to go elsewhere, the bar area is closed or open via the receptionist for minor refreshments. The only other staff during the day are the gardener and the manager, both have only 1 interest and that is cleaning the swimming pool filter and staring. The later making my wife feel very uncomfortable. Dare I say they do not welcome the British? We were only 1 of 2 British families staying in the hotel (August), and at times we were both made to feel unwelcome. Maybe I'm harsh, but a day before we left my wife was taking photo's of the children, she said to them "come on kids, we'll take some others tomorrow" only to receive a sharp comment from the manager, saying "NO YOU ARE GOING HOME TOMORROW". The other family we met received similar comments from the receptionist during their departure. Would I recommend or return to Skiathos, Troulos - Yes, we met some great people, had great fun in other tavernas and bars. But this hotel, it would be wrong of me not to mention the above problems, and no I will not be returning to this hotel."

"The room was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped. The breakfast was good and there was enough for everyone, even if you didn't turn up until 9.45.
The only dowside was that there was no ice-creams or snacks available during the day, you even had to hunt for the receptionist if you wanted a drink by the pool."

"I was very pleased with the whole holiday experience. The taxi transfers were reliable and on time and the accommodation was clean and modern with good air conditioning in both bedrooms.

Our package included breakfast which we only had one day and, to be honest, it was not very good. If you have the option to stay at Korali on a room-only basis that would be better. There is a supermarket a few minutes' walk away where you can get supplies."

"We were concerned about some of the negative comments seen on the internet, but these turned out to be mostly unfounded: the hotel housekeeping was very good (perhaps it has improved recently); we were not 'plagued by mosquitoes from the nearby swamp', mozzie levels were around normal! ; and walking along roads to get to restaurants is fairly normal in the Greek islands, albeit a bit unnerving. The only downside is that the pool is not very big, so it's not used very much and the place lacks a social hub."

"The breakfast at the hotel is basic and totally repetitive. The rooms in the newer wing are a lot nicer than the old wing, but the sea views are limited and there are a lot wasps around the gardens and balconies. There is open stagnant water nearby and you do get a wiff of this on still days."

"The apartment we had at Hotel Korali was excellent, all facilities although basic (as always in Greece) were new. The hotel is near to the beach, bar and a few tavernas. The supermarket was also next door. The pool was really clean and hardly used by anyone. The breakfast was fairly basic (continental) but loads of it and they kept bringing out more as soon as required. The staff could not do enough for us, they were friendly and helpful, we hope to visit there again. Can't wait to go back!"

"Really great holiday,super location of hotel,really freindly and helpfull staff,would definatly stay there again.
Only one point to make ,the breakfast were a little boring it would have been good to have had an hot alternative somedays, but it was end of season so no complaints"

"Great location for the beach and have a really nice pool. The apartment was clean and having 2 bedrooms was ideal for us. The only downsisde was the trek along the busy road to get to the majority of eateries.

The hotel staff were very helpful. We have an 18 month old son and the provided a travel cot free of charge (we have been charged in other places). I had also rung the day before we got there and because they did not have a high chair for breakfast they got us a portable high chair (again FOC). We used this everywhere we went as no tavernas had high chairs.

Great holiday in a relaxed place."

"Accommodaton was very clean and spacious. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment so I can't say what the other apartments were like. Breakfast was a very limited choice with food running out very quickly. Pool area was always kept clean and was always quiet. Staff were lovely."
