Tracey from Epsom reviewed the Lara Beach Hotel
"Fantastic hotel, Great food, nice and polite staff. Only drawback is having to get up every morning to put towels on sunbeds - if you dont forget four beds together! "
"Excellent hotel , very friendly service , food very good with wide choice. Lovely pool but get up early if you want a sunbed. Lots of british at hotel"
"We've just returned from the Lara Beach Hotel and had a fantastic holiday there. The hotel is fabulous, extremely clean, wonderful food and drink and the swimming pools are superb, especially the children's pool with waterslides, we couldn't get our 3 year old out of there! Everyone was very friendly and helpful from housekeeping to the entertainment team who put on some great shows, they all work so hard! One of the best holidays we've had, we'll definitely be back soon!"
"Th hotel was fantastic and the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hotel was kept clean, the only drawback were the amount of lifts only 3 and we were on the 7th floor and had a pushchair and at peak times we had to wait a while but that is a very minor gripe."
Top Tip:
"The hotels private beach was excellent(except the cigarette butts -which is down to the guests as ashtrays were provided)."
Christina from Purley reviewed the Lara Beach Hotel
"Arrived at 11pm with tired 4 year old. Were not given "dublex" (sic) room paid for, but put in a much more basic room with no bed for our daughter. No hotel manager available to sort out problem but eventually a camp-bed was provided. Saw guest relations manager the following morning and were given a better room but still not the dublex we had paid for. Decided was more stressful to continue arguing the point but have overall impression (possibly unfairly) of having been ripped off.
Hotel surrounded by building works, so views not great. Building works generally not noisy, though. Lara Beach is a characterless resort, geared to mass-market tourism, so don't expect to find much in the way of local colour.
Some of the evening entertaining is not suitable for children. Samba show (the main evening offering one night) was semi-pornographic and it was to be followed later by topless go-go dancers. This is not what I would expect to find at a family-friendly 5* hotel, no matter what the time of night.
On the plus side, the beach is excellent and the hotel does provide good food."
Janine from Manchester reviewed the Lara Beach Hotel
"I was really impressed with this hotel. The pools and grounds were kept really well and were very clean. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The al a carte restaurants were superb. The entertainment was good. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable and the air conditioning was fantastic (much needed after a day by the pool in the baking hot sun) The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I would definitely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it."
"Very difficult to fault much about the hotel, the only thing we could say is that the kids club was not very inspiring and the quality of the watersport equipment was shabby. Other than this the hotel was faultless.
The area the hotel is in is exclusive though not at all pretty."
"Second time around and it was just as good as the first stay! Excellent value for money and the variety & quality very 5-star. Definitely going back next year.."
"the hotel exceeded expectations and we were very pleased with the choice of food at the buffet restaurant. the service was also excellent and the all-inclusive price was very good value for money."
Top Tip:
"good for people-watching (esp if you don't speak German)"
