"What a wonderful surprise this hotel was, excellent clean well furnished large accomodation, very polite and helpful staff, daily room service and clean towels, sea view and only 20 yards from beach. All this and it cost us only £200 for the week on travel republic. I would def recommend. For all those on self catering a visit to lidl (5mins stroll away) was well worth it for cheap ham, cheese, salami, pop and beer.(I got a bottle of bianco for 1.79euros, it lasted me the week!) There are market stalls on the prom each evening good qualitiy. All this only 14euros in a taxi from aiport.
We walked into Ibiza town which was very nice with the harbour and large yachets, but they do up thier prices for food and drink compared to figueretas."Top Tip:
"A visit to 'Home Loos' Tapas run by a dutch chap who walks the beach daily telling u aboutit is well worth the visit - try the stuffed peppers and piri-piri prawns. "Hotel was perfect, much better than what we expected. Very clean and well maintained. Reception staff and maids very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like to make a comment on was the 2 single beds in our room (310) must have had really old mattresses as the springs were really rusty causing awful squeaking, even if you moved an inch! Would recommend new ones throughout if that is the case for all rooms!
I would definitely stay in the same hotel again."Top Tip:
"Fusion bar/restaurant and the tapas bar/restaurant next door are a must if only for a drink, very chilled out atmosphere and staff are again very friendly. Turn left out of the front of hotel and keep walking
Ibiza town is a must both during the day & night. The views from the top of the castle are amazing
Jump on the No 11 bus and head to the beach at Playa de ses Salines. Luvly beach and restaurants 'malibu' is a bit pricey so would recommend walking to one of the others

"Our Hotel/Apartment was really good. Close to beach and entertainment. The main town centre is about 10 mins walk buts its really easy as on one road to it. The apartment was cleaned every other day and towels daily.. the beach is outside the front door and really good restaurants near by."

"The location of the apartments was excellent - literally across a footpath and you are on the beach. The pool area is quite small, but you don't really need it with the beach so close. We were upgraded into an air conditioned room - highly recommend going for this option as these rooms are in the newer section of the building. Had a fantastic sea view from our balcony too. The reception staff were absolutely first rate - always happy to help and really friendly. All in all, a great holiday."

"Having read reviews on this hotel on arrival I requested a room with a sea view and air-con, the hotel manager pointed out that I had not paid for this but he would allocate us such a room anyway but on future visits we should pre book these facilities. We had booked a one bed apartment so we believed that this included a sea view and air-con.
The hotel itself Mar Y Playa one is of a good standard with spacious modern accomodation. The bar and pool were good and the breakfast in the ajoining hotel was fine.
The one drawback was noise some from other guests and some from passing drunks or on Saturday night a sizable group of local guys who sat on the jetty at the front of the hotel generally having a good drunken carouse all night"Top Tip:
"There are a number of good restaurants on the sea front. the El Sol, Pricipe and the Italian which overlloks the sea were all pretty good. The dutchmans place Hom Loos is nice and quirky but can get pretty hot inside. For lunches the Hotel Cafe, Captin Haddocks and the bar in the garden were all enjoyable. "Nice location in Figuretas. We were in Mar y Playa II which is somewhat dated so the rooms were a bit dark and not much air circulation as not air-conditioned. However, we had a great sea view from our balcony. The hotel was quiet at night. The reception desk speak English and were helpful. I would book again but Mar y Playa I and pay extra for air-con and sea view!!"

"Mar Y Play I is quite literally on the beach. Modern, clean, spacious, good air con, mod cons inc kettle and toaster (but no hair dryer), great beach view, efficient and relaxed staff, very quiet area (or we were extremely lucky!), 30min stroll to Ibiza town or 5 Eur in a taxi... just perfect!"

"Good value appartment for the early season. Very central to bars, restaurants and right on the beach. Worth getting a sea view as they have decent balcony's."

"The apartment was excellent value for money. We stayed 1st weekend of Oct 07 in Mar y Playa 2 - these apartments have NOT been refurbished yet. Only apartments in Mar y Playa 1 have all been refurbished. The apartment was large and clean, with a separate bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom and livingroom/kitchen. We had a seaview room. However, the sea view rooms did not have A/C. The rooms were a little noisy - you could hear people walking upstairs, toilet flushing and dogs barking from the residential apartments behind Mar y Playa. However, we thought the noisiness and apartment standard was acceptable for the price. The pool is very dated and doesn't look appealing - we didn't use it and went to the beach instead."

"The Mar Y Playa 2 is very basic but has everything you need and most importantly is clean.
We didnt eat in hotel or use the pool (weather poor!) but location good with lots of great resturants nearby, nice but small beach in front and short taxi ride from Ibiza town.
If you're looking for somewhere cheap and clean, its perfect!"Top Tip:
