"A lovely hotel and staff very friendly! Cleanliness was spot on! Would definately go back there! They make a mean Sangria! All i have read in reviews is that it is up a steep hill! Its not steep just gradual! And to be honest it saved me packing on the holiday weight walking to the beach, restraunts, shops and back! Cant be a bad thing!"

"Returned from a week stay as Oasis Mango. Stayed on celf catering basis so can't comment on the dining facilities or food.
The pool area was quiet but I think this was mainly due to us being there outside the school holiday period.
Room was cleaned every day and the staff were friendly & helpful.
We were surprised how large the one bedroom apartment and the facilities were good, we was pleased to find a large built in fridge with a seperate freezer
Overall we had no complaints with the accommodation. However like most who comment on Oasis Mango, the downside is the hill to reach the place. We didn't mind to be honest because we knew about it before we went and we dont mind the trek but I can imagine it would be a problem for anyone less mobile.
Los Cristianos is a quiet resort, which is what we were seeking, but if you want a bit more variety Los Americas is within easy striking distance, even if you are walking.

"Hotel was very clean and comfortable - towels and linen changed very regularly, room cleaned most days. Staff very pleasant. Pool area kept in good condition and water temp is pleasant. No complaints about the service received at all. Food in resturant is adequate but not a huge selection on menu. Hill leading up to hotel is a bit steep and the apartments are spread over 6 levels but no lift - can be very tiring! Wouldn't reccommend it for people with mobility problems or young children in pushchairs."

"The appartment and complex were very clean with all the necessary amenities available on site. However it is situated at the back of the resort quite a distance from the beach and main restaurant / entertainment area. Definately not suitable for older people as the walk would be too much."

"Very nice well maintained apartments with excellent maid service.
Restaurant & bar were okay but rather pricey.
Pool area also very nice though the pool itself is too small to cater for the amount of people staying in the apartments."Top Tip:
"There is a brand new shopping centre just a few minutes down the road. "This was a very good hotel, rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Pool area is a good size and we never had a problem getting sunbeds.
The only fault with this hotel is that it was a little too far away from the town centre, it was probably about 25 mins walk. There were some good fun bars near, Smileys, and the best beakfast place we found was Rubinas."Top Tip:

"Hotel was spotless very clean and apartments were a good size with fridge microwave etc. we stayed bed and breakfast which was buffet style and delicious great value for money. could always get a sun lounger around the pool which had a life guard on duty every day. 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to pubs and the monkey park. staff were very helpful and friendly at the hotel."

"Smiley's bar 5 minutes down road good pub. Bar 39 and bojangles bar 5 minutes from hotel had fab shows on every night. indian restuarant next door to bojangles is delicious and very reasonable, further down the road in the main square Fortuna resturarant highly recommend it have the lamb it is gorgeous!! lots of pubs and places to eat by the beach front. "The Oasis Mango apartments were an excellent choice for our family holiday. We have 2 kids aged 10 and 12 who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The apartments were very clean and cleaned every day except Saturday during our 10 day stay. They were very well equiped with large fridge and freezer, hob, extractor fan, microwave, kettle and toaster. The staff were also all very friendly and helpful. The beach was 20 to 25 minute walk away down hill. There is a small shop on site, but we found a large spar supermarket just 5 minutes away which had everything you could ever need. There are several restaurants just 5 minutes away which we sampled and never had a bad meal once. The Tandori restaurant and Little Italy (1 of 3 Italian) just 5 minutes away were excellent. We were concerned about the position of the apartments after reading some reviews, but found the apartments near the top of a gradual slope which was no problem as long as you weren't in a big hurry. All in all we had a great stay and would definately go back to the Oasis Mango apartments."
Top Tip:
"The monkey park is just a 5 minute taxi ride away and is a great place to visit with the kids as they can feed the monkeys by hand. I would recommend you bring your own supply of fruit as the monkeys prefer it to the bags of food you can buy at the park. "Beautiful pool thats not too crowded with rowdy kids. We have been here twice and would return again in the future. Stayed with my 9 year old daughter and my retired mother and Oasis Mango suited all three of us. Rooms were clean and tidy. The one bad point was the food at the hotel was overpriced and poor quality."

"Oasis Mango have great staff they try very hard to make your stay very pleasant. We stayed first week of July - first part of the week was great..... then it started getting busy with groups of young people. We did have a few problems with noise from these parties after 11:00PM when it's supposed to be quite -hotel staff did deal with the problem and apparently evicted a group!
The hill is not a real problem for someone reasonably fit, you will need good footwear and be aware that the site is slopping with plenty of stairs to climb."Top Tip:
"Los Christianos has enough there for a week, avoid the boat trips to see the Whales/Dolphins if you've done these before as they are not the best.
Would highly recommend a visit to Teide - car is not too difficult an option and for two people no more expensive (Euro36 + Petrol) than a tour bus. The cable car to the top is quite expense (Euro 24) but well worth it. If you want to go to climb the last few hundred feet to the craters edge you need a permit - free but you need to apply in person to the office in Santiago and then they only allow 150 people to the craters edge each day so you will need to be early."Oasis Mango Apartments check-in Date:

"Stayed for 7 days in this self catering accommodation. Fully fitted kitchen with built in fridge/freezer and complimentary bottles of water on arrival. Rooms cleaned and towels changed very day except one. Bathroom with power shower plus complimentary shampoo and soap. No air con or fans.
Pool very quiet when we were there, nice size with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.
Hotel set at top of hill so those with walking difficulties may not wish to stay here. Supermarket and bars within 5 min walk. There is a supermarket and bar on site, but supermarket not open when we were there and bar closed at 17.00hrs. Good 15min walk to beach . Area very clean and safe. Plenty of watering holes to stop off at.
Lots of places to eat at very reasonable price."Top Tip:
"Don John bar just down the road from the hotel and turn right walk for 5 mins and its on the left hand side. People really friendly. Food very good. Drink very reasonable. Found pints about l Euro 50 to 2 Euros and soft drinks about same price. I found it expensive to drink spirits.

"The Apartments were clean and well presented. A cleaner attended every other day, every morning was a hive of activity with cleaners around the outside of the appartments making the site ready for the day. All staff were polite and courtious and most spoke or attempted to speak english. The only draw back was that the apartment complex was situated 1.5 miles from the beach, near the top of a steep hill. Saying that, cabs were plentiful and inexpensive. The accomodation blocks were set on three levels and all apartments were accessed via steps so this could be awkward for those with disabilities"

"We stayed for 1 week at easter 2008. The apartments and complex where spotless, regular maid service with clean towels and linen. The shower was excellent, hot water all the time. The beds i thought were comfortable. There are a lot of steps around the complex which isnt easy for people with prams, disabled and elderly. There is a small supermarket on site but we used the Spar which is 5 mins away. The staff where helpful and polite. I would stay at Oasis Mango again as we like the area where it is situated and have stayed there before. It is a 10-15 mins walk to the beach, but there is a lot of building work going on at the first beach. I recommend you walk a bit further to go on the Las Vistas beach, which is lovely."
Top Tip:
"I recommend The Sports Bar, which is situated at the Castle Harbour (directly opposite) for Breakfast and snacks. Inside the Beverly Hills (near Paradise Park) has an excellent bar with entertainment everynight for all ages it is called the LA Show Bar. I also recommend Bar 39 for evening entertainment and to watch sports. Paradise Park has an excellent Spa. There are several bars and restaurants nearby, if you like italian we had an excellent meal at the Don Quaoti not sure of the spelling (opposite the Sports Bar). The taxi rank is nearby, but i recommend you ask how much to Las Americas before you get in, it should be around 6 to 7 euros and not 10 as one of them charged us."Oasis Mango Apartments check-in Date:
