"the hotel was impressively modern and smart, in fact, when I arrived I thought it was so smart that this could not be the hotel that I booked for. The staff were helpful, and everything in my room was very new. The hotel itself has obviously only been built recently. Of course, there were the usual touches like free soap in the bathroom.
But the hotel was in a rough area, and some people, especially women and older people might not feel happy staying in such an area. It might be necessary for them to arrive and leave by taxi.
One of the local cafes did not seem keen to serve a foreigner, but I did find my way to the main road, and bought a nice gyro - like a donner kebab."
