Quiet location, definitely need a car after a day or two. Hotel very clean and new feeling. Food excellent in quality and quantity. The pool is a bit small and sheltered from the sun part of the day and pretty cold most of the time. The nearby beaches and coastal town and paths are lovely and pleasantly touristy. Safe and warm bathing in the sea (Mar Menor).
Take a phrase book - many spanish visitors here and not everywhere speaks English. A drive along La Manga highly recommended. Eat at the superb Chinese buffet style restaurant 'Wok Buffet' 15 minutes walk up the road. Top nosh!
Very clean hotel.lovely rooms.Excellant breakfast.
Reataurant Angela's opposite hotel-good food at good price.Beach bars good value for money
Simply, the Costa Narejos Hotel is everthing and more a 4 star hotel should be, it's absolutley stuning.
Angela's for Italian, Diva for interesting and traditional dishes, Big Bens for big portions and quality, Bay Side for good mixture of dishes and both Indian restuarants are of good quality on Nalon Ave opposite the Costa Nerjos hotel entrance. Oh! and the Sand Bar for a good welcome & huge measures. Ideal base for golfers playing any of the numerous courses that are now coming on line in the Costa Calida. Cant wait to go back. Thank you TR for everything, the rates you found us for this hotel were amazing. Looking forward to doing business with you again very soon.
Best regards, Martin johnstone, a very contented golfer indeed!
Great hotel very close to the airport so some plane noise while by the pool but not as bad as expected, beach is also very close and is gorgeous with clear blue water although the beach is nicer if you walk right when you get to it. Would definitley stay again very modern and clean.
Dont bother with transfers as it only cost 9 euro's in a taxi and 7 on the way back.
The San Antonio restaraunt on the beach was lovely and not too expensive.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Very clean and modern hotel
Excellent Breakfast
Very good position
Bayside Resteraunt - Excellent food and service
A really clean modern hotel in a convienient location for the beach. A very quiet area which is best explored on a bycycle as the bus service is a bit limited and bustops don't show very good timetables. Easier enough to go to Murcia on the bus but the bus timetables to Cartagena are not diplayed in the bus stops so you have to ask the locals or the driver where he is going to to be sure. Even the reception staff didn't seem to know exactly how far the bus station was from the hotel as they all drive cars and what to them is a short drive is in fact more like a 3 mile walk. Food was excellent with a wide choice and rooms are cleaned every day. The maid puts clean towels every day we were very impressed considering the price we had paid. The entertaiment is a bit basic not as good as some places I have been to but I prefer to go out at night anyway. Was a bit disappointed that the bar staff didn't come around and give table service as I hate standing waiting at bars hopingt to be served like in England.
If you are tinking of going to Cartagena on the bus get the time table off the internet before you go. Walk into Los Alcazares to find the bus stop and the bus company is Costa Azul ask in shops if you are unsure or one of the locals until you get the answer you need . Coming back is much easier as the bus station in Cartagena has monitors with all the buses and numbers on and the stand number from wherei t leaves., a pleasant afternonn visit well worth it . Depending on what time of year you go but we found in October that some of the beach bars are shut in the day and evening depending on the weather but others around the hotel are all nice and well worth a visit to find the one you like most. The sea is excellent for children hardly any waves and you can walk out for yards and the water still only come up to your waist.

The hotel staff were very nice the room was everything we needed and cleaned everyday, which was loverly
there was a loverly bar called el jardins? called th egarden in english tucked away in a rual ares but loverly and friendly, also the food at he hotel was very nice and we ate there every nite
The hotel was very well situated within a short walk from the lovely beach which was uncrowded and very safe for swimming. The food in the hotel was not brilliant but OK. The only downside on this holiday was having to pay £104 for transfers, as we were told the hotel was 50 miles from Mercia Airport when in fact it was actually 2 miles, which would have cost about 10 euros in a local taxi.
It was not stated anywhere in the information , that the hotel was extremely close to the local airport. twicea day we had low flying aircraft across the pool, close enough to see the travellors faces.
Could not fault the hotel service - reception staff were friendly and spoke good english although most of the guests were spanish. The room we stayed in was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly every day. The cleaners were very friendly too. Pool area was small but had plenty of sun beds. Food though was below average. Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice, but the evening meal most evenings was poor and lacked choice and not much in the way of vegetables.
Beach was immaculate, sun beds 6 euros for 2 including the umbrella
