Flying to Almeria
Almeria stands at the eastern end of the dazzling Costa del Sol with its fabled resorts boasting every known facility for the holidaymaker. To the east of the town lies a rugged unspoiled coastline known as the Costa Almeria, dotted with virgin beaches, sparsely populated villages and wild mountain scenery. The town of Almeria, with the narrow streets and lovely white washed facades of its picturesque old quarter, is a gem for the visitor looking for a taste of the true Spain. Situated at the foot of a mountain range crowned by the magnificent Arab fortress of Alcazaba, Almeria is perfect for those who enjoy stunning mountain scenery, coastal nature reserves and the bonus of a great cuisine.
Not far from Almeria, and well worth a visit is the little village of Tabernas set in Europe’s only semi-desert, where many of the famous ‘spaghetti westerns’ were made, and where some of the original film sets remain to be seen by visitors with an interest in those exciting films.
And so with some of Europe’s most popular holiday spots within easy reach to the west, and the untamed beauty of the Costa Almeria to the east, this could well be described as a destination to suit all tastes.

“ Bathrooms need updating. Not very good soundproofing between rooms. Enjoyed the food, a lot of choice at each meal. Well situated for the shops, beach and right on the promenade for walks. Excellent hotel parking. Good value for money.

“ 5/10/11 to 14/10/11 The Indaloo was very busy for the first week due to it being a Spanish Holiday week. The food was good with plenty to choose from. However this did detiorate from the start of the second week due to the hotel being nearly empty.
