Flying to Palma (Majorca)
Palma, capital city of the Balearics, is both elegant and cosmoplitan. An important commercial port as well a thriving holiday resort, this vibrant and bustling city has a great deal to offer the visitor. It has the best choice of hotels, restaurants and entertainment on the island, and Palma’s shopping facilities are first-class. The magnificent Bellver Castle, which towers over the city, and the wonderful 13th century Gothic cathedral known as ‘La Seu’, demand to be explored by anyone with an interest in the island’s long history.
Those for whom shopping is an essential element in their holiday plans, will find everything they might wish for in Parma’s sophisticated shops, where superb leather handicrafts, fine needlework, particularly embroidered tablecloths and napkins, and majorcan pearl jewellery, number amongst the desirable goods to be found here.
Palma is not short of a good nightlife either, and those with the desire to party and enjoy all-night fun will find that they are well catered for in the many bars and dancing clubs by the sea front.
For those intrested in swimming in the sea the best public beaches can be found not too far away at Playa Nova or lovely Ca’n Pastilla to the east of the city. Palma is definitely a great destination for anyone looking for a superb modern city with all the facilities you might ask for, but one that still very much retains its character and cultural identity.

Conveniently located in Torrenova, between the popular resorts of Palmanova and Magalluf, the TRH Palmanova is set in a sunny area in the south-western part of the island, on a fairly steep hill (not recommended for those with walking difficulties), with wonderful views overlooking the Bay of Palma. The hotel is within walking distance of the white sandy beaches of Palmanova to one side and Punta Ballena in Magalluf on the other, approximately 600 m from the heart of Palmanova but extremely close to the lively area of Magalluf with its numerous bars, clubs, restaurants and it’s famous BCM Planet Dance Disco. The TRH Palmanova is ideal for a fun loving holiday and extremely popular with young people (not recommended for families or older couples looking for a quite break from June to September). NEW BCM PLANET DANCE pre parties once a week with all the famous international DJ’s and dancers, right in your own hotel – what more could you ask for...
“ Stayed here last year, great hotel, great atmosphere and close to the nightlife. Only problem is the hill, which can be very hard to walk up after a night out!
