5 Star Arrecife Gran Hotel in Arrecife
We stay at this hotel for a few days at the end of our holiday each year. It is somewhere to relax for us after two weeks of self catering. My wife has mobility problems & this hotel has just one room with a shower with wheelchair access. While the room is excellent should you need a shower for wheelchair access remember there is only ONE room. The ground floor snack bar has closed down & they only do a few snacks now in the 17th floor bar but there are plenty of bars doing snacks near by. Buffet breakfast is good; lots of choice but there was no airconditioning on so it was hot. The 17th foor dining room was as usual excellent both with both service & food quality. The bar stops serving coffee around 2200 but the drink prices are not inflated to match the hotels 5*. The spa was also excellent again & I do recommend a massage.
3 Key Atlantic Gardens in Playa Blanca
Quiet, relaxed and peaceful. Basic clean accomadation perhaps a little untidy around the edges but recommended never the less. Do not expect entertaiment, discos, kids club or loud music. Bungalows are a 20 minute walk from the main centre, there are excellent italian and argentinian restaurants a short walk away. I would recommend hiring a car, £90 got us a Cireon c3 for week collected and dropped at the airport. Cheaper than taxi transfers plus the benifit of having transport for the week to hop around the island. Nearest Beach is still closed owing to development. We would definately stay again. A big thumbs up erspecially as this accomodation is about as cheap as it gets, worth remembering before moaning about 7 Euro charge for the hire of a kettle.
2 Star Atlantis Las Lomas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen

Excellent location, friendly staff, good food. Had a brilliant holiday here, would love to go back again sometime!
4 Star Barcelo Lanzarote Resort Hotel in Costa Teguise
We went as a large group - 2 couples (one with an 8 month old and a 4 year old), plus 2 grandparents. We were in 3 rooms (2 doubles and a junior suite). The rooms were pretty good - reasonably big and pretty clean. We had a few niggles - shower head broken, and TV not working - but these got sorted out fairly quickly. The air con in the room was not very good - everyone else seemed to say the same, although this wasn't a big problem as the nights were not that hot and there was a reasonable breeze. The cot for our baby was good quality, and clean. Having two single beds, instead of a double was a pain, but not the end of the world. The bed for our 4 year old was a pop-up bed from under the sofa, but it was fine and there was enough room to stick it in the main bedroom with the rest of us. Most of the rest of the hotel seemed clean and tidy, the pool and outside bar area got a bit messy but mainly due to paper cups and plates being blown around during the day. No problems getting a sunbed, although it helped to be up before about 8.30 if you wanted to choose and reserve your ideal spot. The restaurant itself was pretty dour - looked like it was located in the basement of a car park, but at least was clean and tidy, with a plentiful supply of high chairs. Dont think the air con was turned on, so got a bit sticky on occasions. Food itself was pretty good - plenty of choice of freshly grilled meats/fishes, plus veg and salads. No problems finding something that our child and baby would eat. Did not hear of any bad reports about the food. The main comment seemed to be that there wasn't a great variety from one day to the next - a large proportion of the dishes were the same each day. We were all inclusive which meant wine and beer included with meals. The beer was fine (as you got bottles of San Miguel) but the bottles of wine were barely drinkable. Mixed view of the staff - some really helpful, some a bit miserable. The all inclusive drink choice, the rest of the time, was pretty good, with water and soft drinks freely available all day. You could pay for other drinks not included in the all inclusive list (they were 50% off for AI guests, so E1.60 for a beer). Apart from meal times, though, the only all inclusive beer was draught - it was supposedly San Miguel but didn't taste great. Apart from meal times, snacks were available all day by the pool although this was the same every day - a buffet of pizza, chips, bread, ham, cheese and salad. Great for a hungry 4 year old though. The kids club was fantastic - ran every day from 10-1 and 3-5. We were a bit sceptical about leaving our 4 yr old on her own but she absolutely loved it, it was obviously well organised and we felt our little one was very safe. The pool area was also great for the kids, with a baby pool and a shallow area to the main pool. Some big slides, too. We didn't see too much of the evening entertainment (I'm told it was "OK", but not much more than that) as the nippers were often tired by 9pm but the mini disco (8.30pm each night) seemed very popular. Always a queue for the bar though, both before dinner in the lobby bar, and then in the main entertainment area afterwards. Tennis and table tennis were included in the all-inclusive (we never had trouble booking a court for whenever we wanted it) although the crazy golf was charged for (about 4 euros for a group of 5 of us). There's a supermarket and a few shops outside the hotel, then a selection of about 10-15 bars/shops about a 20 min walk towards town. These all seemed pretty cheap too - big beer about E1.50. The resort centre is about a 40 min walk away (with loads of shops/restaurants and beaches) although there is a free bus to and from the hotel about 8 times a day, until about 6pm. It's about a E3.50 taxi ride. We never quite found out if there was a beach really close to the hotel - the sea is about a 400m distance away but it looked like it was just a rocky area. We didn't spend too much time looking as it didn't look too promising. All-in-all, pretty good hotel and we'd recommend it to others, especially for children and families.
3 Key Be Live Timanfaya Golf in Costa Teguise
4 Star Beatriz Costa Teguise And Spa Hotel in Costa Teguise
Good clean hotel.
4 Star Beatriz Playa And Spa Hotel in Matagorda
We stayed in the Beatriz Play in July 2010. The hotel was ok for the price and the staff were very friendly. There were 2 adults and 2 children in my party and the room was nice and very spacious. All of the entertainment was underground and the restaurant wasn't the best for 4 star. My husband was very disappointed as they advertised the England - Germany match on in the bar (which wasn't all inc) and he waited and they never opened it. I was a bit disappointed so I rang to upgrade to the 5*Gran Castilla in Playa Blanca. For 4 days this only cost us an extra £80, however this was £80 well spent. The facilities and service at this hotel were second to none, and I would have paid far more than £80 to upgrade - there was even champagne for breakfast.... We are looking to go back here for New Year. There was plenty for the children to do and we had a lovely relaxing holiday.
2 Key Bitacora Club Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Basic but clean.
2 Star Bungalows Sal Y Mar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Sal Y Mar and both visits have been fab. Their location is perfect for a relaxing holiday, close to the beach and amenities - and only a short taxi or bus ride way from Puerto del Carmen itself. Apartments are clean and spacious, shower is lovely and powerful! You'll need to take your own tea towel :-(
4 Star Casa Del Embajador Hotel in Playa Blanca
Just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa del Embajador we were on our own in the hotel for the first 3 days it felt like our own private hotel it was great. Lovely views and good atmosphere. The sheets and towels were changed everyday fruit baskets in our room and also on the tables around the place. Breakfast was in a small courtyard and was delicious. We have stayed in Playa Blanca before and this is the best hotel yet !!! Just out of the bottom gate and straight on to the beach and promenade.
3 Key Casas Del Sol Servicios in Playa Blanca
1 Star Caserio De Mozaga Rural House in San Bartolome
We had one of the two suites (No 9), and having a lounge in addition to the bedroom and bathroom makes a big difference. It was spacious, tastefully and traditionally furnished and comfortable, with a picture window in the lounge giving a fine view over the hills. One drawback was a TV that picked up only Spanish and German stations, and the remote control was decidedly iffy. A simple radio would have been nice, and I'd even have put up with CNN on the telly. Also, water in the bathroom took an absolute age to run hot - not good on Lanzarote where water is a precious commodity. But unless you like cold showers, be prepared to watch it run down the plughole. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the restaurant serves good food that's refreshingly not the typical tourist fare you tend to find in holiday destinations. Wine prices are reasonable, with good selection of both local and mainland Spanish varieties. The inland location of the hotel near San Bartoleme is well situated for exploring the island by car, and it's located in a peaceful spot. Well, theoretically it is. The one fly in that ointment is having yapping dogs in nearby properties, which were an unwanted distraction. Fortunately their owners seem to take them in during the evenings, so you'll get a good night's sleep. Were my wife and I to revisit Lanzarote we'd certainly seriously consider staying here again (maybe by that time the dogs will have been put down!). In a rustic kind of way it's definitely a cut above your average holiday hotel.
3 Star Cay Beach Sun Hotel in Playa Blanca
The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately there was no evening entertainment or activities for the kids, the pool is very cold!
2 Star Celeste Apartments in Costa Teguise
All in all, a pleasant stay. Apartments are basic but clean and comfortable.
2 Star Cinco Plazas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cinco Plazas Apartments. Would definitely recommend. Close to beach and plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The only negative thing we could say about the apartments is no air con!!
2 Star Club Guinate Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
VERY FRIENDLY NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE, COMPLEX WAS ALWAYS CLEAN AND TIDY AND THE POOL WAS CLEANED EVERYDAY.
3 Star Club Las Vistas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
ideally located for lots of things! behind the hotel is a great little supermarket, then 2 mins up the road is the biosphere shopping centre. Only 5 mins walk away is the Old town...lots of great places to eat all along the seafront aswell which is also only a 5 min walk away. The apartment was great, lovely balcony to sit out on and sunbathe, nice lounge and kitchenette...my only complaint was the very uncomfortable bed...two singles pushed together...very uncomfortable no matter what way we laid! hotel staff were nice....convenient and inexpensive!
2 Key Club Siroco Apartments in Costa Teguise
WE HAD A EXCELLENT HOLIDAY. EVEN THOUGH WE ATE OUT, THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN. THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFULL AND COSTA TEGUISE WAS BRILLIANT I WOULD RECCOMEND TTO OTHER PEOPLE
2 Star Club Timanfaya Apartments in Costa Teguise
a little bit out of the main area to much of a walk if you have kids. the apartments are ex time share and in need of repairs some of them have been sold and are permanent home for spanish families.in fairness had no bother when we were there the apts and beds were clean for us only somewhere to sleep and we had hired a car
2 Star Club Valena Apartments in Matagorda
The apartments were basic but very clean and well equipped. The sheets / towels were changed every other day. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location was very good. only 5 mins walk to beach, shops and bars etc...
3 Key Coloradamar Bungalows in Playa Blanca
Good clean bungalows with plenty of space. Unfortunately the pools weren't heated as advertised, which took the edge of things when we didn't want to go to the beach because of the wind. It would have been a lot easier to entertain the kids with a heated pool.
3 Star Corbeta Hotel in Playa Blanca
The Corbeta bungalow we stayed in was in need of an update. Decor was tired and generally drab, for example the fridge looked like it had been painted, the built in dish drying rack was really rusty, the blankets and sheets on the beds, although clean, were a bit threadbare. Towels in the bathroom were, on some days, also a bit ragged. On the plus side the place was well cleaned each day. A bit of a disappointment but probably good enough value for the money involved. It took us a good 10 min to walk to the beaches at Playa Blanca. Taxi fares to and fro cost between 4 and 5 euro (£4 to £5 approx) so steep enough for a short journey at today's exchange rates. Also everything seems more expensive in this part of Lanzarote - but maybe that's the euro again.
1 Key Corona Mar in Puerto del Carmen
the apartments were very spacious, cleaned daily. the bathroom was a bit dated. good location for beach and entertainment. pool and pool area was kept clean. we were the only people staying at the apartments, so we had the pool to our selfs. their were a few steps up to the apartments but should be ok for any able bodied person to manage.
1 Star Corona Mar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The apartment was basic, there was a fridge, a sink, crockery, a two ringed electric hob and an oven. I don't believe that most people cook there, as the oven in our apartment had not been used before. There was a swimming pool outside the apartment but it was absolutely FREEZING! On the day we left we saw signs of heating equipment being used in the pool, so hopefully new customers can swim in an heated pool. The electric system was a nightmare and although the handyman did his best to repair it, the system needs a re-wire to bring it up to standard. The television was pay as you go, 1 euro had to be paid, but as we felt it would all be in Spanish we did not bother. I would have thought that a television was a necessity everywhere these days. Take your games and a laptop for entertainment! Top Tip for the apartment, Don't look at the mattress, we did ugh!
3 Star Costa Mar Hotel in Playa de los Pocillos
Really enjoyable holiday. The "Costa Mar" is ideally situated for us, away from the noisy pubs and clubs, but close enough if you need to visit them. Plenty of beautiful, little used beach straight over the road.
3 Key Costa Sal Apartments in Matagorda
3 Star Costa Sal Apartments in Matagorda
very good standard of accomodatio with everything you need on a self catering holiday
2 Star Costa Volcan And Spa Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Just bear in mind that this is a 2 star hotel which is obviously reflected by the cheap price I's kept nice and cleaned every day, but it's a bit like a youth hostel.
3 Star Dn Rafael in Puerto del Carmen
Just back from a holiday with a group of friends. We really wanted to go for a villa this year so we could have our own space. There were 4 of us in villa 8, there was enough space for 6 but it may have been a bit cramped with 6 adults, there are 3 bedrooms, one double and two twins all of a good size, the double room has a big ensuite and there is a further bathroom. The pool was a decent size and we had a lovely bit to sunbath in front of the pool. We also had a balcony which had a lovely sea view. It is not a far walk to get anywhere, only a few mins to the nearest supermarket - Hiperdino and there a spar a little bit further along. The old town is amazing and about 10-15 mins walk away. There is a shopping centre with haggen dazs and carte dore and high street shops like zara, mango and berska. There are nice little boutique shops scattered about the old town also. On the way down to the harbour you will come across lots of amazing restaurants, you must try fish in some of these restaurants as it is the best fish I have eaten. The new town consits of the beach lined with palm trees and is very pretty and clean, it takes about 15mins to walk to. On the other side of the street from the beach is the strip which has loads of restaurants, bars and some clubs. I didn't like this part of town as much a part from the beach. The clubs were very quiet perhaps the time of year. There were touts about trying to get you into their bars. The old town is much nicer with the best restaurants and a decent amount of bars, we went to the Heinieken bar and the one next door to that; both which busy and had table service. I think these villas are great for families, groups of friends and couples it give you your own space without being to far away from everything. Ana on reception is lovely and always willing to help with any question you may have. We would definitely stay at these villa's again and return to Puerto Del Carmen it is a lovely town busy but not too busy!
2 Key Don Paco Castilla Hotel in Playa de los Pocillos
We stayed for 1 week all inclusive in July 2010. We arrived by taxi, 10 to 15 minute journey from the airport, cost 10 euros & 10 cents. Apartments are a good size, basic but clean & comfortable, pretty much what you would expect from a 2 star spanish aparthotel. Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week, the brown towels are a bit strange though. Pools are reasonably well looked after, perhaps not the cleanest though. Be prepared to get up early if you want a sunbed especially during peak months. We thought that the food in the restaurant might get a bit repetitive if staying longer than week, it is pretty much the same sort of thing at both lunchtime and in the evening. There is always a choice, albeit limited compared to other hotels we have stayed at. There is usually a soup (sometimes only luke warm), salads, 4 or 5 hot dishes, 4 or 5 desserts, and 4 or 5 choices in the kids area.
5 Star Dream Castillo Papagayo Hotel in Playa Blanca
This was an amazing holiday.... It was my first time abroad with my daughters aged 4 and 5 and we all had an amazing time.... staff very friendly and helpful, hotel very very clean, food brilliant with massive choice would definatly go back again!!!
5 Star Dream Gran Castillo Hotel in Playa Blanca
Excellent week, hotel really fab. Staff brilliant. Maid room service great. If I had 2 weeks in hotel, I would be 2stone heavier, and an alcholic. Will surely go back again, have recommended it to friends. Will take my teenage son and girlfriend there later this year.
2 Key El Dorado in Puerto del Carmen
Ideally situated between the old town and the strip. Very helpful staff and kept clean and tidy.
1 Key El Guarapo Apartments in Costa Teguise
Appartment was clean and good value for money paid. Kitchenette has microwave, two rings, kettle and toaster. One of the window locks was broken but this was quickly fixed by Antonio when reported to reception. Apatrment was cleaned daily and towels changed mid week. The cafe/bar served good basic food at reasonable prices. Apartments are within 5 minutes walk of supermarket, resteraunts and bars. On the whole a good choice for a quiet, budget holiday. Only critiisism is that beds were quite old and creaky.
3 Key El Trebol Apartments in Costa Teguise
absolutly loved it me and my boyfriend are 18 and 20 and we couldnt fault it food excellent! pool and hotel lovly and clean really nice staff.. just very windy but wasnt the hotels fault. entertainment was alright didnt last very long but we went out everynight after entertainment anyway so we wernt really that botherd would deffinatly recomend it to friends.. weither old or young or families. the only downside of our holiday was the 6hour delay on the way home and the 6euro compensation voucher we got!! That was ridiculous! we wernt very happy as we had checked in at 3pm and didnt fly till half 11pm! there wasnt anybody around to keep us updated and the reasons why.
3 Star Eldorado Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
2 Key Elena Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
the hotel apartments were clean and tidy and facilities for self catering were adequate maids were there to clean and change towels every second day
2 Star Europa Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
room was basic but clean but need to say that the reception needs to be addressed was only open two hours per day and not at all on sundays
3 Key Fariones Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
SOME BREAKFAST STAFF STUCK UP
3 Star Fariones Club De Mar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The appartments were great,perfect.
4 Star Fariones Playa Suite Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Fariones Hotel is in a lovely situation between the "OldTown/New Town if Puerto Del Carmen. We stayed on a B/B basis which I would recommend to everybody as it was SUPERB, the best breakfast buffet lay out that I have even had. The Hotel was spotless through-out and the daily cleaning service was excellent. Will return.
3 Star Faro Park Villas Hotel in Playa Blanca
The villas was fabulous, the pool was cleaned regularly, great place great time.
3 Key Ficus Apartments in Costa Teguise
The hotel and food were very good and was well impressed with the chinese and mexican theme nights they had in the restaurant. The only downfall was some of the selfish people who would put their towels on a sun bed all day and not even use them, even the reps said it was the first time they had seen it happen. The nightly entertainment by Pete, Georgia and Helen was fantastic and catered for all age ranges. I would definately go back again and take my teenage kids next time.
1 Star Finca De La Florida Hotel in San Bartolome
Definitely NOT a 5 star hotel - a 3 star would be more realisitic. A pleasant small rural hotel in an older building (which has it's limitations), with adequate facilities. Very few staff around, and hence gaining attention for any problems was difficult (such as trying to find toiletries for the bathroom which had not been replenished etc). No porterage, and nobody available for any sort of emergencies. Breakfast (continental style only available) was exactly the same each day, and hence became very boring, and was not very adequate or imaginitive. B&B was only rate offered, as restaurant in hotel was run as a different business. For the standard provided, the B&B was not very good value. The restaurant run by a French chef was of a good standard, but on the expensive side, and wines were expensive. The menu did not change adequately from day to day. As the hotel was not near any other eating establishments within walking distance, if you wanted to drink with your meal etc, you had difficulty in going elsewhere, unless you hired a taxi, which was not easy. So you were somewhat stuck for eating at the hotel for the evening meal, if you like some wine with your meal.
3 Key Floresta Apartments in Playa de los Pocillos
12 day stay A/I arrived 24th June: Resort position was close to the beach (a couple of minutes walk) and away from the main drag so very quiet. If you are S/C there are a couple of supermarkets right on the doorstep as also are the bus stops and taxi rank. Apartments were very clean with maid service 5 days a week and towels changed every 2 days. We were unfortunate to have a cockroach problem in our first apartment. It was more than my nerves could stand so when we mentioned it to the Reception they offered to move us immediately. Other guests I spoke with saw none in their apartments so it may have been a one off nest in our room (1432 ;-) There are ramps everywhere so pushchair/wheelchair access is not a problem. Reception staff were the best I've ever experience in 30 years of travel. Other staff were always polite. Food was great with a good choice each day and night and not too repetitive over the 11 nights of our stay. Childrens choice was good. Of course you can get chips with everything even sometimes at breakfast! There is a snack bar here but you have to pay. The A/I food package is for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restuarant area only. At the poolside bar, they unlock the icecream freezer and put out a scoop for 1 hour only between 4 and 5 o'clock where you can help yourself. There is usually some cake or fruit and coffee available at this time too. Alcohol was available from 11 o'clock. There was no need to tip the barman to get served quicker as previous reviews stated. The barmen were very attentive and fair. The main swimming pool and childrens pool are salt water. The other pool is fresh water but is really aim at the adults due to its depth. We found the pools not too cold once we were in. Entertainment at night was just ok. This is a 3 key hotel so don't go expecting Broadway performances. The kids seemed to enjoy the mini disco. The daytime entertainment program was rubbish. The animation team only seemed interested in encouraging the German & Spanish guests to join in. If we return to Lanzarote, we would definitely stay at the Floresta again.
3 Key Galeon Playa Apartments in Costa Teguise
2 Key Graciosamar Apartments in Arrieta / Haria
Fantastic no frills destination if you want tranquility and space to unwind, with great views, beaches and 3 volcanoes.
5 Star Gran Melia Salinas Hotel in Costa Teguise
Gran Malia Salinas was an excellent hotel. From the moment you step into the elegant foyer you feel very spacial. The surroundings were clean and grand. The swimming pool was beautiful, perhapes the salt water could be a put off, but the gardens surrounding it made it a special place to relax. the sun loungers were very comfortable and there were plenty to go round. The buffet breakfast was to die for ,everything you wanted was at hand. The buffet in the evening was just as sumptious. Food was prepared and cooked infornt of you and the staff very welcoming. Drinks were a tad expensive but I suppose thats what you expect from a 5* Hotel. The bedrooms were very elegant and the views from the balconies were beautiful. Well worth the money
5 Star Gran Melia Volcan Hotel in Playa Blanca
On arriving the reception was first class with a porter on hand to provide assistance. The receptionists were very pleasant, helpful and polite. The rooms were very attractive and spacious but here comes the crunch.....the air conditioning in the room we were staying in was faulty and we spent every night "roasting to death" with the temperature ranging from 26 to 28 degrees C. The temperature during the day was high for Lanzarote figures so a cool, air conditioned room would have been most welcome. It was so unpleasant one night I slept in the bath and another night I filled the bath with cold water to knee height and sat with with my legs in it for 2 hours. With the exception of the air conditioning, all other aspects of the hotel were excellent. The cold, salty main pool was respite from the searing heat of the sun, the small pool was also a means of cooling down and the hotel is most attractive with the friendly efficient cleaning staff second to none. Have been holidaying in Playa Blanca for 19 years, 2 or 3 times a year and the Gran Melia Volcan is up there with the best just please, please fix the aircon!!!!
3 Star Green Oasis Loma Verde Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
we have left this "excellent" because we were advised not to stay at the Green Oasis loma Verde apmts. But i can say it was excellent value for money, not the ritz but you dont pay ritz money. Very clean, good food with a very good range and fair entertainments for all.
2 Key Guacimeta Apartments in Matagorda
3 Key H10 Bahia Blanca Rock Hotel in Playa Blanca
the hotel was so dirty we had to move to a hotel a cross the road and pay again, we had hot water, the cooker blew up in my face and the room was fuel of cockroach's
3 Star H10 Lanzarote Garden Hotel in Costa Teguise
we had a brilliant holiday rooms a little dated but very clean pool fantastic acttivities brilliant but could do with a teenage slot like last year staff great entertainment brilliant local beach lovely
3 Star H10 Lanzarote Gardens Hotel in Costa Teguise
The hotel is very clean and you have the best of both worlds with the rooms having a kitchen in them and then being able to go into the hotel restaurant for your meals. How ever the food in the restaurant is very basic. There are always plenty of sunbeds and you dont need to put towels on them to reserve them.
4 Star H10 Lanzarote Princess Hotel in Playa Blanca
Beautiful room with terrace and sun loungers. My teenage boys, 16 and 13 were amused the whole week (as was I) with archery, crazy golf, table tennis....Walter and Charles great entertainment hosts - especially when Charles accidentally fell in the pool fully clothed during water polo!! Food excellent, near to beach, clean and hassle free.
4 Star H10 Rubicon Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca
We were at this hotel the first week in July for 11 nights. Really nice hotel and was always spotless. Food was excellent and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Entertainment at hotel wasnt good and 4 euros in a taxi to Playa Blanca..........would recommend.
4 Star H10 Timanfaya Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca
5 Star Hesperia Lanzarote Hotel in Costa Calero
4 Star Hesperia Playa Dorada Hotel in Playa Blanca
Having been to the Hesperia Playa Dorada previously all we can say it's looking a bit "tired". Not really 4 star. The hotel is very clean and the staff were excellent. Suitability for young people question is not really fair because we were there at a quiet time!! Unusualy this hotel has carpeted bedrooms which creats a quieter environment.
4 Star Hipotels La Geria in Puerto del Carmen
Excellent hotel, stayed there many times, staff and service always excellent, rooms comfortable and clean. The hotel started it's all inclusive option earlier this year and it seems to be working well.
3 Key Hipotels Natura Gardens Apartments in Playa Blanca
This was a very good value holiday. We had the benefit of a large apartment (no. 16 I tbink) which was on the first floor and therefore had a nice sea view from the balcony. We also went half board at the hotel where the food was very good - a fantastic range to be had. Would recommend this option to anyone, as there are not that many restaurants and bars nearby. We hired a car for the whole week from Auto Reisen which cost little more than it would have done to book transfers from the airport and would recommend doing this as it is a fair walk into town if you are carrying shopping or beach gear. There is a small beach near the hotel - just to the right by the small precinct which was fine for us - nice snokelling with lovely colourful fish. Hotel gardens when we went were beautiful - flowers hanging from balconies of rooms made it look gorgeous. Only negatives were: 1) not much choice of bars or entertainment in walking distance - hotel was VERY quiet at night although they did put on a show most nights if that's your thing 2) for some daft reason the hotel would not let us have a second key to the apartment which caused us a lot of inconvenience with 2 teenagers wanting to do things independantly of us. These are really fairly minor gripes and would recommend this apartment with use of hotel facilites as a very good deal in a lovely, peaceful spot
4 Star Hl Club Playa Blanca Hotel in Playa Blanca
i enjoyed club playa blanca bungalows were nice, food was good the staff were friendly also they did well with their entertaiment. the beach was 10 mins down the road as were the shops bars and resturants. definetly suitable for families. would i go again. yes. also i have booked throught travel republic on quite a few occasions and have not been dissapointed
3 Star Hl Paradise Island Hotel in Playa Blanca
Overall our stay was good. All staff were friendly but very busy. Entertainment every night, some nights better than others. The tropical evening was good fun. The hotel was clean, main areas and rooms - no 'cockroaches'! Our rooms were great, bedroom, bathroom, living room with kitchen and a large terrace at the front and a small balcony at the back. We were all inclusive and didn't have a problem with the food, there was always plenty of choice, salads and hot food at lunch and dinner. Breakfast was a bit of bun fight, it wasn't always easy to find a table and the layout meant we were going 'round the houses' to get what we wanted! Good enough choice of food at breakfast - cooked breakfast, cereal, fruit, toast, yogurt, cakes. All inclusive drinks were fine, choice of local spirits. Also san miguel, which you could help yourself to during the day. Soft drinks and water were also self service during the day. Some times had to queue for drinks in the evening but no longer than 10 minutes and this was the exception, it did depend on which bar you went to. Easy enough walk into Playa Blanca it took about 20 minutes, but taxi's are cheap and there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel.
4 Star Hl Rio Playa Blanca Hotel in Playa Blanca
the accommodation was clean and spacious ,the layout of the bungalows was very good lots of room between you and your neighbors. pool area was good. food fine. All inc. house wine not so good it was on tap and the red wine was icy cold. Coffee was terrible, had to go out to get a decent cup. Have used travel republic many times always efficient and trouble free service
3 Star Hotetur Aquarius Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
asked 4 level suitable 4 70 yr an 3yr and got ground floor leval which suited everyone.pool area was brill 4 3yr old never out of pool.
3 Star Hotetur Aquarius Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Lovely apartments towels changed every day nice flat screen TV with nothing to watch except news channels. There were no lifts and it was hard carrying our suitcases up 88 steps to our apartment but once up there the view was lovely. There were fans in the living and bedroom which were very nice and cooled the rooms to give a very comfortable environment. On the whole I would definitely go back there.
3 Key Hotetur Lanzarote Bay Hotel in Costa Teguise
Excellent Hotel, Facilities and Location. The hotel is more suited to families with younger children. It is quite a quiet location and a 15 minutes walk into Costa Teguise.
3 Star Hotetur Puerto Tahiche Hotel in Costa Teguise
3 Star Hotetur Teguise Golf Hotel in Costa Teguise
The Room was lovely, very clean and spacious. The only problem was on the last morning, we woke up to find we were sharing our bathroom with an unwanted guest....a cockroach! We reported it to reception, who gave us a can of bug spray and told us to get on with it. Wasn't too happy about that to be honest. Also, the gym facilities were not in full working order, only about 3 machines were working, and this wasn't stated to us when we booked. On the plus side the hotel staff were very nice and the veiw was nice.
3 Star Hyde Park Lane Bungalows in Puerto del Carmen
Lovely clean apartments well equipped. it's about 5-10 mins walk to the beach and bars but a leisurely stroll is a nice part of your evening out
3 Star Hyde Park Lane Villas Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
We have stayed in the bungalows before but as we are now a family of 4 we opted for a villa instead. We were delighted with the accommodation which enhanced our stay. The villa was cleaned almost every day with clean bedding and towels. The pool was big enough for a quick dip for us all without being too crowded! The villa had everything we could have asked for and we will definitely return.
4 Star Iberostar Costa Calero Hotel in Costa Calero
Lovely hotel, clean and up to date, staff helpful, food out of this world, spa wonderful. It is huge but the walk through the lovely grounds from room to dining rooms helps shake down the previous banquet and the beautiful tropical flowers feed the soul. With reference to previous reviews no sign of unhelpful blonde or dwarf at pool bar, water was a very pleasant temperature after the first 5 seconds and Bar El Jameo was certainly open in July. Do take advantage of your free spa voucher and I discovered that repeat sessions are half price for hotel guests 9 instead of 18 euros.
4 Key Iberostar La Bocayna Village Hotel in Playa Blanca
An uninviting reception, one left to find room by themselfand the site was poorly signposted. Rooms recently refurbished but the decor and soft furnishing not very inspiring. We were on halfboard basis and the meals in the dining room were below school meal standards. Thankfully we were only spending 12 hours at the hotel We would not have lasted much more
3 Star Iberostar Lanzarote Park Hotel in Playa Blanca
Everything went great. All the arrangements by travel republic went perfect. APART from when we arraived back at the airport to fly home. DO NOT FLY WITH VIKING AIRLINES. They rescheduled the flight by seven hours and told no one. It was terrible. Aparantly there are loads of bad reviews about this airline and they seem true. Habitual delays. Hotel and tranfers were great.
4 Star Iberostar Papagayo Apartments in Playa Blanca
Clean, spacious and freindly staff. This was about our 5th visit, and will return again.
4 Star Iberostar Papagayo Hotel in Playa Blanca
Nice hotel, been there 4 times so that says it all. Nice food, lovely views, mainly German/Spanish and normally quiet thou this time lots of kids so wrong time of year to go i guess. Althou its a fair walk to town its along a lovely prom with great views. 15-20 min walk to marina 30-40 min walk to Playa Blanca town.
2 Star Isla De Lobos Apartments in Matagorda
I'm 25 & I recently stayed at Isla de Lobos with my partner (who is 27) and 2 year old daughter. The apartments we're very spacious, clean and fully equipped with everything you would need on a self catering holiday. Rooms are cleaned 5 days a week and towels are changed on those days as well. The pool area is lovely, and has a small snack bar between 9am-5.30pm 6 days a week. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a half board basis and meals were taken at the complex across the road from Isla de Lobos. Breakfast is basic but provides everything you would want (typical english breakfast, pastries, cereals, fruit, juices etc). As for the evening meal, it seemed that we were the only people on a half board basis during our first week so we were told to use the complexs pool side resturant (we were given a menu and told to order whatever we liked) this gave us a bit of variety. When it got to our second week (as there were other families on the half board option) the buffet was opened. There were a few choices and it was always something different every day so you didn't get bored with the same meals (one night was fresh fish, mussels, steak & and another was squid, pork, curry etc with all the extras like pasta, salad, veg). The food provided was a lot better than I thought we would get (having stayed half board before at different hotels). Overall we had a wonderful holiday and would recommend the Isla De Lobos to friends. I would mention that this hotel is probably not suitable for those who have difficulty walking/wheelchair users as it resides at the top of "Cardiac hill" which as the name suggests is very steep - I had difficulty pushing the buggy up it every night. But having been to Puerto Del Carmen before i knew what I was in for!!
3 Star Jable Bermudas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We only had 1 night at the complex but the rooms were very clean and well kept. The only thing that it REALLY lacked were fans in the rooms but 'we guess' that these can be rented from reception.
4 Star Jardines Del Sol Hotel in Playa Blanca
We were absolutely delighted with Jardines Del Sol; the accommodation was of extremely high quality and spotlessly clean. We have been to this resort more than once and would certainly go again.
2 Key Kon Tiki Club Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Was really nice pool area with a roof terrace that gets the sun all day, quite hotel and really nice restaurants. Right next to the beach.
2 Key La Florida Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
LA FLORIDA APARTMENTS ARE SITUATED HALF WAY UP A STEEP HILL. JUST OUTSIDE THE APARTMENTS IS A SUPERMARKET AND ANOTHER ONE ACROSS THE ROAD. THEN BUS TERMINUS WAS AT THE TOP OF THE HILL TO TAKE YOU TO PLAYA BLANCA ,ARRECIFE, OR ROUND THE BACK OF PUERTO DEL CARMEN TO THE END OF THE STRIP. ONLY ONE THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE BEDROOM VERY DARK BECAUSE THE WINDOW WAS LOOKING OUT ON AN OUTSIDE CORRIDOR PLUS IT HAD SHUTTERS WHICH DIDN'T LET ANY LIGHT IN SO ON A MORNING YOU COULDN'T TELL IF IT WAS DAY LIGHT
2 Star La Laguneta Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Appartments good value but having booked:- 1 appartment - 3 adults 1 appartment - 3 adults + 1 child was suprised to only have 2 single beds in each appartment. Had to pay extra to upgrade - luckily 2 bed appartment available. Travel republic -> Spanish agent -> appartments Spanish agent thought 1 adult + 1 child on futon is OK! People at the appartments were great!
2 Star La Penita Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Excellent location and fab apartments. Clean, friendly staff and all amenities close to hand. Great value for money.
3 Star Lancelot Hotel in Arrecife
Good clean well appointed hotel right on the sea front with views to the sea from your room. It's a quick and cheap taxi ride to/from the hotel to the airport and the bus stop for busses to the rest of the island is just a short walk away. There is a short flight of steps from street level to the hotel foyer so the hotel may not be suitable for some older people.
2 Key Lanzarote Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
i have rated the appartments excellent, which they are, but i must tell you about the hotel bar, it was the worst one i have ever experanced, the lady who ran the bar was arrogant, unwelcoming, the food was expensive and bad, it spoiled a very very good complex
2 Key Lanzarote Paradise Apartments in Costa Teguise
the apartments were of good standard clean and reception lady was very helpful my only complaint was the fact it was a long way from centre and was all uphill going back to apts which was to mch for my mum who has arthritus and me as i have sciatica so unfortunately we paid for another apt near the beach and centre for the second week
4 Star Lanzarote Village Hotel in Playa de los Pocillos
Hotel was nice clean and comfortable they just need to sort out the entertainment which was not really very good. The only other thing was the sunbeds all covered in towels by 6.00am this was a real problem that needs to be addressed
3 Key Lanzasur Club Bungalows in Playa Blanca
When we were given our room it was a room that was the last one on the block facing a busy road and the lock on the door looked like it had been tampered with. There were no facilities to boil water and when we asked to be moved the man on the reception was not at all helpful. He said there were no more rooms available and we said that we weren t staying in that room. He said to come back the next day and he would see what he could do but couldn t guarantee it. When we mentioned the lock he said he would send someone to change it which they did. When we tried to get in we couldn t because the lock hadn t been fitted properly and we said we didn t feel safe in that room and definately wanted to move or we would go elsewhere. We had to sleep in it for the first night and the next day go back at 2 pm to move into another room. I feel that one day of our holiday was wasted due to all this messing. The room they gave us was better but you could still hear the traffic noise. I don t get traffic noise at home when I m relaxing so I definately don't want it when I go on holiday. We also noted that the complex was mainly German based and if you weren t all inclusive you were made to feel isolated to everyone else.
2 Star Las Acacias Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
My mate and i were robbed from our apartment. If that was not bad enough the manageress of the complex accused me of lying.Theres no way ill give her any of my buisness again.
3 Key Las Colinas in Costa Teguise
Clean spacious studios with good basic facilities.Nice complex with its own quiet pool area but you can also go next door to paradise appts and use the larger pool and bar. The reception serves both places. Staff seemed friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Basic shop onsite. On the edge of town and we enjoyed the half hour stroll but this might not be ideal for you. Used taxi to get back now and again and cost about 4 euro. Plenty of places to eat and drink and we didnt get pestered to much when strolling around. Nice beach areas but does get very windy. Not for clubbers but great for a relaxing break. Booked flight transfer and hotel through travel republic and everything went like clockwork. No problems at all and if we go back to costa teguise we would stay at las colinas again.
4 Star Las Colinas Apartments in Costa Teguise
The rooms were very clean and spacious, although could have done with some more blankets as the room was not heated and it was v. cold on an evening. A good 25 minute walk into the centre of Costa Teguise but only about 3 euro's in a taxi. The free shuttle to the beach on a morning saved our legs!!!
4 Star Las Costas Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
2 Key Las Gaviotas Bungalows in Matagorda
People are very friendly and keen to please.
2 Star Las Lilas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
No reception, but gate was open and a note left stuck onto a window giving room number. The door was open and the keys inside. The water pressure was so low we could only wash, ie. no shower or bath. The swimming pool was not cleaned all week, so we did't swim. Electric socket was dangerious and not fixed to the wall. We have been going to Lanzarote for the last 15 years and stayed at verious places, and this was the worst.
2 Star Las Marinas Apartments in Matagorda
We were allocated a bungalow which had the pool right outside the door and a lovely private terrace. The complex is very quiet with reception and pool bar only open 9.30 to 1.30. Perfect for us as we only used this as a base. 10 minute walk to shopping centre and beach-use Las Gaviotas bungalow gardens as a short cut! Bus stop to Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise only a short walk away and buses every 20 mins. On the sea front you can walk left past the airport to Playa Honda which has fantastic beaches and on to the capital Arricefe-takes about 2 hours. In the opposite direction walk through Playa De La Pocillos to Puerto del Carmen-about 45 Mins then on to old town and on clifftop walk to Puerto de Calero. We caught the water taxi back-5 euros each.Perfect place for walking, running, cycling.
2 Star Las Marinas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Apartments were only 1 bedroomed so were quite small. Were clean and tidy. Quite basic if you wanted to cook for youself. In a lovely setting round a pool with lovely plants everywhere. Was set on the top of a hill so no good for disabled. We enjoyed it.
4 Key Las Marinas Club Resort Hotel in Costa Teguise
nice hotel and friendly staff . along way from beach and any shops not enough entertainment for children and adults the food was good and the gymand spa very good there was a free bus twice a day in the morning and a bus back from beach at 4 30 in the afternoon . we had to have taxis if we wanted to go anywhere for a meal or other bars . there were not many people in the hotel . the chilren had the pool but had to pay for computer games and internet which cost a lot of money a day no other enterainment at night . had a parrot show /and reptile show and were charging 10euros for a photos
2 Star Las Palmeras Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The Las Palmeros was used for 1 night only because of holiday date changes due to collapse of FlyGlobespan airline. It is a relatively small complex (19 apartments) with a small pool and carries a 2 star rating. The 1 bedroom apartment was spacious, modern, very clean, and well equipped including a microwave. The 1 downside was that our apartment appeared not to have been used recently and needed airing. The receptionist (Esther) was extremely helpful. However Reception is only open from 10am to 1pm at this time of year.
3 Star Las Terrazas Del Puerto Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mario from reception. The accomodation was fine, but a little run down and is in need of freshening up (especially the pool). I would not rate it as a 3 star, 2 star would be more appropriate. The location of the accomodation is at the top of a hill in a quiet residential area, which was great for us but if you are looking for something more lively then this may not be the place for you.
2 Key Lomo Blanco Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
basic appartments, but very clean.staff very cheerful and helpful.
2 Key Los Cocoteros in Puerto del Carmen
We really enjoyed out stay at Los Cocoteros Apartments. The weather was fantastic with only one day and a half slightly overcast which helped reduce the temperature slightly. Unfortunately, I have to stay out of the sum for health reasons, but that did not dampen our stay at all. The afternoons were the best when the sun was not so strong then I could enjoy the walks and the beach. I would recommend those apartments to a friend. The only reservation we had was the hills leading to the old town. It made going there very difficult, but did not put us off.
4 Star Los Fariones Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Lovely hotel, you can sleep with the sound of the sea and the waving palms in your ears. Staff very courteous, rooms spotless, breakfast buffet excellent.
3 Star Los Fiscos Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Food basic but good quality-Pool much too deep for inexperienced swimmers. Local beer much to be desired but good value for money.
1 Key Los Gracioseros Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Los Graciosas was a lovely and clean complex that catered for everyone. The apartment facilities were perfectly adequate and the staff within the complex were extremely friendly and very obliging. I would have no hesitation in recommending this as it was value for money.
2 Star Los Pueblos Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We enjoyed our holiday very much, the hotel was exactly as described by other reviews, the bathroom was a bit tired and the toilet did not flush very well, but we solved this problem by using a bin filled with water, other guests had this problem also. The water was also a bit of a strange colour. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the apartment was always kept clean by the maid so we have no complaints and we realise that you get what you pay for. The view from the balcony was superb and we were able to sunbathe there as it was so large. The hill is a problem and the hotel is a long way from Puerto del Carmen, but good exercise after eating well in the local restaurants We would go there again and would recommend this hotel for a cheap and cheerful holiday and also recommend TravelRepublic for their helpfulness and efficiancy.
2 Star Los Rosales Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The Apartments were very basic and were in desperate need of upgrading there was problems with light switch in living room, no light on outside stairs both of these were health and safety issues the water heater in the kitchen leaked the shower was pathetic we never got a complete hot or dare I say even warm shower the whole time we were there. A lick of paint and some general maintenance would have made all the difference and in this economic climate I would say you need to speculate to accumulate. On the plus side receptionist and repair guy who we seen a lot of were both very nice. Would not go back to these apartments even if they were free.
2 Key Los Tulipanes Complex Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Small and friendly. Really enjoyed it.
3 Star Los Zocos Club in Costa Teguise
2 Star Luz Y Mar Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Lovely really friendly Dubs running the pool bar! Great breakfast sandwiches and great value beer! Helped to make our holiday a great one! Beds are really really uncomfortable but for the price we paid we were really impressed in the quality and size of the apartments. Would definitely recommend to friends!
3 Key Mansion Nazareth Hotel in Costa Teguise
We stayed in the Mansion Nazareth they are very clean but a bit dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
2 Star Maribel Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
very clean & friendly appartments
3 Star Miramar Hotel Lanzarote in Arrecife
Helpful receptionist
2 Key Molino De Guatiza Apartments in Costa Teguise
This was a large apartment and it was in a good situation -there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and all the ones we used were good-there did not appear to be any children's facilities apart from the pools which seemed to be on the small side -I would have thought these apartments were more suitable for adult only holidays -and we found them to be excellent value for money.
2 Key Montana Club Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
the appartments were fab cleaned and linen changed 5 times a week. staff really helpful good value for money would deff go back again.
2 Key Morana Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We have been to this hotel three times now , the only thing wrong this time is they put us in a room right next to the pool, although the room was comfortable we had to keep our door shut because of all the noise, we are not complaining about people having fun, but sometimes you want some quite times and being near the pool and bar it was inpossible. We did ask to be moved to another room away from the noise but was denied. We will hope to come back again next year but only if we are promised a better situated room.
4 Star Natura Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is a lovely resort with plenty accommodation to choose from. For our family, the Natura Palace provided everything we needed with large indoor areas; and the outdoor areas spotlessly clean; the pools were pretty good as well. The evening buffet was superb - every day; the entertainment every evening was extremely good - especially the "mini club" for young children. The family rooms we had were large and well furnished and overlooked the ocean. We will defintely return to the Natura Palace. Oh yes, the staff were efficient and pleasant.
2 Key Nautilus Lanzarote in Matagorda
Matagorda is a nice relaxing area to stay in, The apartments had everything one needs, however in peak season air conditioning would be great.
2 Key Nazaret Apartments in Costa Teguise
We had a great holiday in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote. We stayed in the Nazaret Mansion. Maybe the the appartment was a bit dated but for a 2* there was nothing to complain about. A nice bottle of red wine waiting for us and fresh rolls delivered to our room every morning was a lovely touch and wouldn't get that in many 4* appts. We had no problem getting a sunbed no matter what time we went down to the pool. What a rare sight to see NO towels being left on the sunbeds either at any time of the day. Kettle, coffee machine, toaster, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tv remote, were all there ready to use. Brilliant. Recepionist on arrival was very helpful and helped organize our trips for us. Yes, we'd certainly go back.
2 Star Neptuno Apartments in Costa Teguise
The kitchenette and the bathroom are very old about 20 or 30 years. From the apartment you have a fanatic view to the Atlantic Ocean.
2 Star Oasis Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Rooms clean with linen change mid-week. Pleasant and effecient reception staff on both check in and out, otherwise we had no contact with reception. Pool bar staffed by one very pleasant individual. Snacks and drinks very reasonably priced and pool area clean and tidy. For those with young children the small pool is suitable (only half metre deep) but I could not stand in large pool (too deep) therefore not very good for poor swimmers or those with children. Only other niggle was that one had to walk along the street to reach the pool area from the appartment.
2 Star Oasis Lanz Club Apartments in Costa Teguise
The receptionists were incredible at this apartment complex. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and presentable, a couple of light bulbds didn't work so we spoke to reception and it was fixed by the time we returned to the room.
4 Star Occidental Allegro Oasis Hotel in Costa Teguise
hotel was 1st class expect for the food
4 Star Occidental Grand Teguise Playa Hotel in Costa Teguise
hotel in excellent location, if staying on half board drinks very expensive in hotel but plenty of local bars that charge 50% less for drinks well worth wandering out
2 Star Oceano Apartments in Costa Teguise
would definitely stay here again, the reception staff and the couple who run the poolside bar could not do enough for you.the room was big for a studio and cleaned regularly with clean towels and change of sheets.close to the beach and great restaurants and chines-es.
2 Key Panorama Lanzarote Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Very Friendly & Helpful
2 Key Parque Tropical Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We arrived by taxi to the Parque Tropical apartments at about 21.30hrs...(Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote) I'ts about 10 mins in the taxi and cost 14 euros. The receptionist made us very welcome and the check in was done in a few minutes. She showed us on a little map where our apartment was. Our apartment was very clean spacious and had evrything in it that we required for our stay. although there was the small matter of a hair dryer for the wife!! we contacted the reception and this was sorted the next day with no probs. Although these are a 2star rating both my wife and i would say that this is under-rated and that they should require at least a 3star rating. The staff are all English that work in the pool side bar, and the recptionists all speak very good English.
3 Star Perto Del Carmen Aparthotel in Puerto del Carmen
2 Key Playa Club Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel location was ideal for all of us, our age range was from 30-70+. The only point I would makes was they are refurbishing the rooms so there is some noise.
2 Star Playa Flor Apartments in Playa Honda
on our first night we found that the bedroom light did not work, but that a standard lamp with aprox 40w bulb had been placed between the beds, Next morning we went to reception to ask for the light to be fixed, again on wednesday, along with a request for a new kettle as this was now tripping all the fuses when switched on. then the loo stopped flushing properly, resulting in us using the bin from the kitchen to fill with water to flush. we also asked for the satelite tv channels as advertised, to be told that there was only local channels, BBC World and eurosport. There was no eurosport, and the tv was unwatchable due to a very loud buzzing when it warmed up. We never did get the bedroom light fixed, nor did we get a kettle. building work going on in the complex, making it very unappealing to use the swimming pool ,which didn't appear to be clean,so we didn't.
3 Star Playa Limones Bungalows in Playa Blanca
Bungalows very good , very quiet complex, restaurant average only eat there once . Local beach closed for building work, but great beach about thirty minutes walk away or you can catch a local bus that stops just outside the Bungalows, Great place to stay.
2 Key Playa Pocillos Apartments in Matagorda
Second year at this hotel. Not the Ritz but good value for money. Will definately return in the future.
2 Star Playamar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Bungalow was lovely and very spacious with own private garden. Pool area was nice and very quiet. Cleaners came in five days out of seven. Safe only cost one euro a night. Dont bother with the t.v. only one english channel. Very well equipped only problem no air conditioning but you can hire fans. Good security need keys to get in the gates after nine thirty p.m.
4 Star Playaverde Hotel in Costa Teguise
The Hotel rooms were very good very spacious with maid service everyday. The food was a bit repetative but Ok overall. The big drawback from our point of view is that we were the only English people there.99% were spanish not an issue in itself but our daughter found it difficult to make friends. Another consequence of this is that the Spanish like their siesta which is great in the aftrenoon as we had the pool virtually to ourselves, however this also means that the entertainment (which wasn't brilliant) started too late for our liking....Kiddies disco at 22:00! In conclusion if we got a last minute cheap holiday we would consider it again but as a main family holiday we would avoid it for the above reasons.
2 Star Plaza Azul Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
quiet,clean and relaxing
2 Star Plaza Palmeras Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
2 Star Pocillos Playa Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Our original hotel was very intimate and relatively modern. Poolside was small but clean. Food was fresh but minimal ranges. Bar was terribly stocked and there weren't many people in the hotel. Spa was closed for all of our stay, which was a big selling point for us.
2 Star Princesa Guayadeque Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Having stayed at Princesa Guayadeque before, to go back again we were not let down and the warm welcome we received from Trudie at reception proved to be the start of yet a fanastic stay at the apartments. I can't fault this place for cleanliness and the peace and quiet. It is excellent value for money and Trudie is always happy to recommend places to visit - you only need to ask.
5 Star Princesa Yaiza Suite Resort Hotel in Playa Blanca
The hotel was gr8! staff very helpful, attentive and warm but not over the top. Location fantastic if you dont want to travel ... beach, restaurants, shops all on the doorstep. Gorgeous views of fuerteventura on horizon, breakfast delicious! But dont be fooled that the beach belongs to hotel ... sunbeds on beach 3 euros a day each.
3 Star Pto Carmen Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Pto Carmen apartments were okay. There were a few things that stopped it from being rated as "good". Pool was not heated and a little chilly unless the weather was incredibly hot. The childrens part of the pool was very deep and not appropriate for young children to paddle in. The pool bar area felt unloved and was staffed by the same person who manned the reception and didn't feel inviting.- the staff were friendly in general though. The lack of air conditioning was made sleeping in very warm weather (there was a heatwave while we were there and temps were 35 during the day). Location was a bit further from everything than I would have assumed and it would have been a lot better to have been five minutes closer to the beach and old town as you have to walk down a busy road, part of which is not paved. The TV- which was pay by the hour/day had poor quality reception and channels. Having said this, the apartments were fairly clean, the grounds attractive and represented good value for money.
4 Star Pueblo Marinero Hotel in Playa Blanca
3 Star Puerto Del Carmen Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
The rooms were dirty. We were on the balcony when the cleaners came, they were in the apartment for no more than three minutes cleaning. The bed was made(using the term loosely) over the top of my trousers that were on the top. Although the weather was cold on a night there were quite large gaps by the side of the windows, which made it feel even colder
3 Star Puertocarmen Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
We were extremely disappointed with this hotel and certainly wouldn't consider it to be a 3* Hotel. It was filthy, and even when the cleaner did 'clean' the apartment, it was still very dirty. The sheets didn't get changed on the beds all week. The balcony was also dirty with cigarette buts and general litter lying around. We were intending to self-cater, but the facilities were so basic and dirty, that we couldn't. We stored food in the cupboard which was crawling with ants after a day! The rooms were very basic and poorly maintained and the beds were maintained. The apartments supposedly were refurbished in 2007, but it was clearly not done to a suitable standard as they were decorated poorly and still very unclean. We had a good holiday, but our accommodation definitely spoilt it. We were both unwell by the end of the week, which I think was because of the unhygenic apartment.
2 Key Punta Jablillo Apartments in Costa Teguise
I didn't get the type of Apartment that I had asked Travel Republic to book , but the friendly & helpful Receptionist quickly found me a SUPERB room . A VERY enjoyable week !
3 Key Relaxia Lanzaplaya Apartments in Puerto del Carmen

2 Key Rio Sol Hotel in Playa Blanca
very friendly hotel
3 Star Riu Olivina Apartments in Playa de los Pocillos
The hotel and gardens are immaculate. The apartments are clean but basic. The food is boring and uninspired. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We travelled early in the season and when the hotel was quiet there were plenty of beds but by 2nd July the early morning scramble was on! Not one of the RIU groups better hotels - wouldn't go back despite being a big fan of this hotel chains services.
4 Star Riu Olivina Hotel in Playa de los Pocillos
Friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in,nothing too much trouble for any of staff. Food was very good for all inclusive- you would have to be very fussy not to find anything to your taste. Liked the smoothies in morning. Very clean and tidy. The entertainment was limited to 45 minutes every night (except Sunday when there wasn't any at all) which, although the acts were good, could have gone on a bit longer. Finished at 10-15pm which is early seeing as bar shuts at 12. Liked the self service for beer, soft drinks and coffee etc. at the bars. Stops any queueing although bar staff very efficient and friendly anyway, were always happy to serve you.
4 Star Riu Paraiso Club Hotel in Playa de los Pocillos
First class service, food and amenities.lovely atmosphere would recommend this all inclusive resort to anyone.
4 Star Riviera Park Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
2 Star Rocas Blancas Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
As this was the second time staying at this Apartments through Travel Republic, we asked for a front sea view apartment when booking. On arrival we were told we had not paid for a sea view and the apartments were full. We later found out there were quite a few unoccupied apartments in the area we asked for and as we had not had the option to pay extra on our booking for a sea view, we asked once again to be moved. The man on reception was quite adamant & we were not given the sea view we wished.
2 Star Rosamar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We stayed at the Rosamar apartments in the new town. They are basic 1 bedroomed apartments, very clean with an average pool, which was very cold. They sold basic snacks which were very nice. These apartments are very close to the heart of the new town - everything is within walking distance. Although I had no problems with where I stayed or the new town I personally prefer to stay in the old town.
4 Star Rubimar Hotel in Playa Blanca
After the call from your office to advise that our apartment had no balcony or windows just a door, we were pleased that you had been able to secure us a different room. The apartments are a good size for two adults and possibly a small child and have good facilities and being an aparthotel it meant that we had maid service five times during our stay. It would have been nice to know beforehand that Rubimar Apartments provided beach/pool towels for a small charge, so allowing extra weight in the cases. The main critisism we had with ours apartment was that it was at ground level from entry and this meant that you could not open the bedroom curtains or windows as people walked by on their way to other apartments. The complex has a lovely outdoor pool area and it is such a shame that it is not heated during the winter months, although there is the indoor pool, but it is nice to just have a quick dip to cool off and then return to the sun lounger. Marina Rubicon is a lovely area but it closes quite early, so if you come back from dinner later than 10.30 the bars are shutting down, as did the bar in hotel. The other main impression we got about the complex was that it was not aimed at a Britiish market, althoug TUI (Blue Star) have an office on site and the kids club seemed to be German based. All in all we had a good holiday, the weather was excellent and will return to the area but maybe not these particular apartments.
4 Star Rubymar Apartments in Playa Blanca
This is not a four star hotel. We had stayed here before, but on this trip noticed how 'tired' everything looked. Breakfast was definitely not four star. We had to move rooms because of a dreadful smell, but even then, the aroma of drains dominated when the windows/door weren't open - a shame, because the rooms are large, but with the hardest beds we have ever encountered! The pool area is spacious, which is good, and there are plenty of sunbeds. It is unfortunate that the pool bar is so dead - it could be an attractive feature - and there is no real focal point or atmosphere. Having said all this, its location close to the marina is a real plus point, and we did enjoy the walk into Play Blanca, although less so when the wind was cold! They could make so much more of this hotel. We might try the 5 star nearer the centre of the resort next time.
3 Star S Callao Negro Hotel in Playa Blanca
Was in easy reach of beach, shops etc. good 15 minute walk. No need for car. We found everything we needed within easy reach. Thank you.
3 Star Salinas De Matagorda Villas Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Staff we had contact with were very helpful, especially when we locked ourselves out, they arrived to help us out almost immediately. Good location for families with younger children, a bit far out of the main Puerto del Carmen area for teenagers/young people/anyone who wanted lively nightlife, bright lights, 24 hour entertainment etc. Matagorda is situated at the quieter end of Puerto del Carmen, about 5km from the main centre. We used the local buses and taxis which were very reasonably priced, even during the Christmas and New Years Eve period, to get into the main centre. Close to the airport, we were concerned that noise may be a problem, but it was actually fine.
2 Star San Francisco Park Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Very basic, but very clean. No facilities on the complex only the reception. It was very quiet and we had no complaints
4 Star Sandos Papagayo Arena Hotel in Playa Blanca
excellent hotel, great facilities, very clean. There was a fantastic variety of food to suit all tastes at every sitting and plenty of staff cleaning and clearing plates etc. in fact all the staff were excellent from the reception to the sos pool staff to the cleaners in the room. We payed for an extra room for my two sons and really felt the benefit, the rooms were cleaned daily and were to a very good standard overlooking the pool area and sea. The pools were plenty big enough and because there were few you could move to different areas if you wanted, didn't struggle for sun beds either. There were plenty of activities for the children, football ,pool, table tennis etc and also a games room with wi sports and ps3. If you fancy a walk the harbour is about 20 mins walk along a promenade overlooking the sea and there is a market there on wednesday which was a nice change. Theres not many bars and restaurants close by but then we didn't mind because we were all inclusive anyway. The bars in the hotel were comfortable especially the balcony on the upper floor. All in all a fantastic holiday,I would recommend it to any family or laid back couple wanting to chill but its not really for revellers which was a good thing because there were no "chavs"
2 Key Sands Beach Resort Hotel in Costa Teguise
Reception staff were not reliable and started every conversation with "Un momento". That aside, this place was fantastic. We had a great holiday. On the beach in the morning; choice of 7 pools to lay around in the afternoon: 15 minute pleasent walk into town for dinner in the evening. Very good holiday
5 Star Sands Beach Villas Hotel in Costa Teguise
great place would do self catering next time as meals were a bit boring and there are places were you can eat for cheap.
3 Key Santa Rosa Apartments in Costa Teguise
3 Star Santa Rosa Hotel in Costa Teguise
Really helpful staff, spotless in all areas.
4 Star Seaside Los Jameos Playa Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were excellent and very friendly. After reading reviews about the food we were a little worried but decided to take the chance - the food was excellent with plenty of variety and choice and don't know how anyone can complain about the food. The accommodation was also excellent and was pleasantly surprised to find 2 small bottles of wine, a bottle of Champagne and a basket of fruit in our room on arrival. The hotel even supplied towels for your sunlounger which could be changed on a daily basis if needed. Our only minor complaints would be the evening entertainment. This was fine for the younger children and the older adults but we found it lacking something. Overall though this was a very chilled out holiday and would go back again.
1 Star Sol Apartments in Costa Teguise
Only there for one night yet still very accomodating fro disabled person.
4 Star Sol Lanzarote Hotel in Matagorda
We had agreat time at the sol Lanzarote hotel , staff excellent , great entertain ment and fantastic location and brialliant pools , look foward to a return visit here
3 Key Sol Morromar Hotel in Matagorda
Couldn't have asked for better for what we paid and expected. Sure it wasn't fantastic luxury but it was a 3 star hotel for you and it was perfect for our needs! Seen some bad reviews for the hotel and i wanted to say that this hotel is definitely worth it. We went as a group of 7 boys aged 18 and we went out every night just about, it was a perfect distance away from PDC and the nightlife was great there! And loads of things to do during the day thereabouts!
2 Star Soulea Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
When we arrived we found the appartment was not clean, there was a covering of brown dust all over the furniture and windows etc. The shower waste would not drain away, the towel rail and shower head was hanging off the wall, the bedding did not include any blankets and it was cold on the first 2 nights there. The appartment was advertised with large balcony sutable for 4 poeple, we could only get 1 chair and the table on the balcony. The shower drain was sorted the next day after reporting the problem. Blankets were provided on the 3rd day. Beddiing was only changed on 1 bed throughout the 10 day stay. No clean towels were provided and the appartment was never cleaned in the 10 days. the bins were emptied once and 4 towels were provided for our 2 sisters when they arrived. these were not replaced with clean towels dring their 6 day stay. The appartments flooded when it rained and we had to put towells accross the bedroom windows and the balcony windows prevent the rain from coming in. I would not recomend this complex to anyone.
3 Star Sun Island Hotel in Playa Blanca
A quiet and spacious resort, reasonably short walk to beach. Basic accomodation, but cleaned every day. Food was fine! Some reviews had us worried. There's only a probem if you eat everything (fish, meat, pasta) atone sitting! Plenty of choice.
1 Star Sun Park Aparthotel in Playa Blanca
average 3 star accommodation for average cost, good pool facilities
3 Star Sun Royal Hotel in Playa Blanca
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. The Pool areas were nicely set out and not too crowded and with the Quiet location it made a perfect base. Although the hotel was just a ten minute walk from the beach/shops/restaurants, which was not a problem for us, it did prove to be difficult for my elderly parents. Luckily we were able to get taxis to and from the hotel and the centre of Playa Blanca, for only 3 euros each way.
3 Key Tabaiba Center in Costa Teguise
The positive thing is - good accomodation for big party of friends or familly as value for money holiday. We had a giant 2 bed , 2bath appartment for only 2 of us. The negatives- the hotel is too far from the beach / 30-40 min walk/, and very few courtesy busses are running to it. Plus there is not much to do in the evenings, it's o.k. if you are happy with only beer from hotel bar, but otherwise you end up exploring beach resort and relay on taxi's, who try to do their best to rip you off. Be prepared to pay for your TV in the hotel / ridiculos, never saw anything like that / 1Euro for 1hour.!!!
3 Star Teguisol Hotel in Costa Teguise
The apartments were at the far end of Costa Teguise. The promised Kids Club that we were promised did not exist. There was NO entertainment in the complex, day or night. I do not consider a television in the bar as entertainment. My sister's apartment had faulty wiring (every time she turned the cooker on they were left in darkness). They had cockroches in their apartment.
3 Star THB Flora Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
The apartments are rated 2 key. I found them very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was edible although very repetative and sometimes cold, but for the price we paid we got our moneys worth with the drinks. The only complaint with the drinks is that they are saved in plastic glasses and also theres a cocktail of the day but this was always warm and was more like a punch. The beds were very uncomfortable and one was broken, we slept in the leaving area on the seats!! The apartments were in the old town quite a way from the beach and main part of Puerto Del Carmen but the walk was quite nice (on the way down anyway, not for the faint hearted on the way back, although a taxi was less than 4 euros). Overall it was worth the money, as you don't go away to sit in the hotel, so as a base was well worth it. Word of warning...NO AIR CON and it gets very warm and stays warm at night, we slept with the patio door open in the living area, but was quite noisy.Puerto Del Carmen was loverly though and transport around the hotel is good. Bus service outside and taxi rank (taxis cheap).
1 Star Tisalaya Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
Basic but very clean and friendly staff ideal for a good rest and a good nights sleep
3 Star VIK Club Coral Beach in Playa Blanca
Lovely hotel, excellent food and gorgeous staff. A long walk from the centre of Playa Blanca but nice walks in the surrounding area and a good bus service.
4 Star Vik San Antonio Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
The food at the hotel on half board offered a good and varied choice both for breakfast and evening meal and there was always something to suit everyone. However, at times a lot of the food was just luke warm and this was commented on by quite a few people.
2 Star Villa Canaima Apartments in Matagorda
Very Clean and well maintained. Staff were excellent and very helpful
4 Star Villas Bocaina Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
We should have called the contact number to find out what our Villa number was BEFORE leaving Lanzarote airport. We left this until we were in the minibus, in the area and had the driver looking around and calling the contact number on our behalf for over half an hour before obtaining our villa number.
4 Star Villas Callao Negro in Playa Blanca
3 Star Villas Costa Papagayo in Playa Blanca
An ideal place for five mature work friends. Villa accomodation was good but needed some maintenance. Upstairs shower didn't work. Pool man sorted out locks and did some painting whilst we were there! Private pool great but very cold! Kitchen and washing areas good. We had a good holiday. Thanks. Any chance of a discount for next year?
3 Star Villas La Granja in Playa Blanca
The location of the villa on the travel republic web site was very wrong. In fact the villa was approx 2-3 miles from the map location and was very difficult to find. Fortunately we had the phone number of the Lanzarote contact. The villa was in a vey quiet, new, (being constructed) area which was not close enough to walk to either shops or resturants. The villa was however really nice, new and well set out. Also pool was not heated as suggested in info. Shame as this was one of the reasons why we chose the villa
3 Star Villas Las Buganvillas in Playa Blanca
The villa and pool was of an excellent standard. The areas is away from the main resort, but is within a 20 min walk, or a approx. E 3.50 taxi (2 mins drive). For us the area worked well as we had a car and prefer the quiet. At the momment the villas are very new, and infact there are very few completed and in use. However the buildings are complete, so the area is clean and quiet. My only complaint would be that there was no information in the villa itself, e.g. how to work appliance, contacts for help, where rubbish should be put, check out times etc Playa Blanca itself was a very nice resort, clean and fresh looking with plenty to do. All in all we would definately visit the villa again, and would reccomend to anyone.
3 Star Villas Sol Lanzarote Hotel in Puerto del Carmen
Lucky enough to be allocated one of the two storey villas. Very modern furnishings. Very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer etc. Lovely sea views from the upstairs balcony and the pool terrace area. Pool and villa cleaned regularly. Wouldn't hesitate to use these villas again.
1 Key Vista Mar Apartments in Puerto del Carmen
We have been to these apartments with you 2 years ago - loved them as they are quiet and near to everything. A good choice. The only bad thing was the transfer you had arranged for us - we were kept waiting 1 and half hours at the airport wilst waiting for other flights to come in to fill the 10 seater coach. Not a good start to the holiday. Previously we had a private car within 5 minutes .
