“Friendly, helpful staff (almost all Cape Verdeans) make this hotel quietly efficient and a relaxed place to stay. Food and drink is overpriced, but we chose to stay in the hotel most evenings rather than run the gauntlet of persistent West Africans in the town trying to get you into their shops.
One small gripe - prebooking a Holiday Taxi for airport transfers is unnecessay and expensive (particularly if, like us, you miss your connecting flight and are unable to contact them until landing, which is then too late and non-refundable). Local taxis are abundant, safe and much cheaper (about 10 euros each way).
“Top Tip:
Right on the edge of a beautiful expanse of clean white beach: no litter, tacky stalls or shops, and no hassle. Never seemed crowded.
