“ We were very pleasantly supprised at the hotel. The rooms were very clean and and nicely proportioned. We paid for a studio and when we arrived they upgraded us to a one bedroom appartment at no further charge. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. An excellent hotel for the price we paid. We will certainly go back. .

“ the hotel was a very pleasant surprise close to all amenities. The appartment was really spacius, well furnished and exceptionally clean. We had a poolside view which I believe is the quiet side of the hotel. The pool area was cleaned every day and there was no saving of sunbeds, great news. The only grumble was that the bar was never open during our stay, if hotels offer an amenity it should be available to use.

The hotel is in a quiet location but is close to the beach, bars and restaurants. The rooms are basic but are very clean and there is maid service every day. The staff are very helpful.
The pool area is clean and there are plenty of sun beds, however, there are no bar facilities as stated. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and will definitely return again. Great value for money.

The Hotel Alcazar is located in Monte Gordo which has one of the most beautiful beaches of Eastern Algarve in the bay of Monte Gordo, surrounded by excellent, unspoilt natural areas.The Hotel Alcazar is approximately 30 min. away from the Airport, 0.3 km to the city centre and just 300 m to the sandy beach. All guest rooms have private bathrooms with a bath, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, minibar, safety deposit box. “ the hotel was always clean and tidy, the room was kept and cleaned to a very high standard. the food was not bad a good selection in the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, although sometimes was a little over cooked, there was no coffee available for the evening meal and had to be purchased in the bar upstairs.

Built in 1974, this hotel was renovated in the year 2000 and offers a total of 108 double rooms spread over 6 floors. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, a safe, a lift and a cafe. Guests are also offered a TV room and an air-conditioned buffet restaurant with highchairs for children. In addition, the hotel has a conference room and a public Internet terminal as well as bicycle hire. A laundry service rounds off the amenities.
“ The hotel itself was very nice and kept clean and tidy, also rooms cleaned and fresh towels were put out when needed. The only downfall would be the standard of food at dinner which was on the cold side and also the plates were cold which didn't help. If this were put right I would certainly recommend it.
