Hotel was great for what we wanted ,a short break away from the main resorts and noisy holiday makers.The hotel was mainly used for short stays and business people.I think that we were the only British travellers there.Excellent service from all the staff,very friendly especially Isabel,she was lovely.Breakfast although only continental was great,fresh and plenty of choice,but might get a bit repetitive if you stayed there for a while,but that can be said about most other hotels.
There is an excellent cafe within a few yards and a mini-market just across the road with Bank,Chemist about 400 yds away.Other bars dotted around but these seemed just for the locals.
Ideally, you do need a car.We managed to catch a bus to Albefeira but these were not running very often.
Although food and drink were a lot cheaper in the village,we would have liked to have facilities to make a hot drink in the room .Swimming pool-empty for most of the time-really peaceful as most of the other guests appeared to go for the day to the beach by car.

The hotel was lovely, absolutely spotlessly clean and the pool was great. The staff were always helpful and able to answer any questions we had.
The only criticism is that the beds, although fairly new, were too hard and uncomfortable which was a pity. The only other point to make is that the Hotel website states that the beach is 5 minutes away which we found a bit of an exageration, it took nearly 10 minutes to drive to the nearest beach, having said that it was not a problem - to stay at this hotel you definately need a car which we had.
“ Top Tip: Frazers Tapas Bar just a short walk up the hill and around the corner - very nice and not too expensive, we also went to Van Gogh which was also very good but a little more pricey.

Need to concentrate more on refreshments for swimming pool ie: drinks and food. No one in bar, you have to go to reception to ask for a drink downstairs, and no food available. Although I managed to scrounge a sandwich but it was difficult.
I would not give it 4 stars.
“ Top Tip: Must try Van Gogh restaurant at Maritenda, 10 minutes away. Excellent.

“ the hotel was always clean and tidy, the room was kept and cleaned to a very high standard. the food was not bad a good selection in the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, although sometimes was a little over cooked, there was no coffee available for the evening meal and had to be purchased in the bar upstairs.

Apartamento do Golf is located in Vilamoura, which is one of the best known tourist destinations in the Algarve. Set in an area among pine trees, the hotel offers swimming pools for adults and children, a games room, a bar, snack bar, restaurant, breakfast room, lounge and laundry service along with comfortable and well equipped guest rooms.
“ Have stayed 5 times now. Quiet area in middle of golfing area. Great for golfers. Quiet hotel for good relaxing holiday. Courtesy bus to marina and beach but last one quite early so taxi would be needed for evening if u want to go into villamoura or else car hire. Food good although if ur half board you are limited to small menu.

Albufeira Jardim is an ideal family orientated property. Overlooking the beautiful resort of Albufeira, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants near by and only a 10 minute walk to the centre of the old town. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. Please note this property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the fact that there are steps and no lifts.
“ this apartment was very good maids come round everyday to change beds and put clean towels in and a general tidy round we had a 1 bedroom apartment,it is only a 10 minute walk to the beach but the walk back is a bit longer as it is all up hill.
