“ For a two star hotel "Praia do Sol" is doing very well. It is very clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms get done every day and beds and towels get changed. Very good value for money...
“ Top Tip: Restaurant "O'Pipo" is not bad, the same is the "Primavera". The two are located in the same street where the hotel is, two steps away. I would however highly recomend "Carolina dos Aires", just two minutes further away..... The beach is very close and there is a lot to discover......

Situated in 800 m² of gardens, this hotel, renovated in 2003, is spread over 8 floors and comprises 192 rooms of which 188 are double and 4 are suites. The hotel is air conditioned and sound proofed throughout. Guests may make use of the foyer with 24-hour reception desk, safe, currency exchange desk, a cloakroom, lifts, a newspaper stand, various shops, a lounge area, conference rooms, a car park and a garage (additional charges apply). Dining options include an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant, 2 bars and a café. It is also possible to make use of the in-house laundry and room services as well as the public Internet terminal. The comfortable and impressively furnished rooms come with a bathroom and hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection, radio and satellite/ Pay- TV. Further fittings include a room with soundproofed windows, a minibar, carpeted floor, air conditioning, central heating and a hire safe.

“ ocean view rooms well worth paying the extra for.Breakfasts would be improved by providing orange juice(instead of squash),a wider choice of cereals and decent coffee(undrinkable from the machine!).Friendly and professional bar staff.

This nice hotel is centrally located just by the famous Avenida da Liberdade, within walking distance to the city's main attractions such as Restauradores, Rossio, Marques de Pombal and generally all the main sightseeing, restaurants and bars. The property's 45 rooms are nicely decorated and all have air conditioning, minibar, telephone, modem connection, satellite TV and a full bathroom. The hotel also has a breakfast room and a car park.
“ It's an old, private hotel with about half the rooms very good; some other rooms have cramped bathrooms and/or no air-conditioning. Our room was very good, except it was too near a noisy lift.
