Built in 1975 and renovated in 1995, this hotel offers a total of 99 double rooms spread over 9 floors. Having stayed in several hotels in Benidorm, this one falls into the average bracket, at best its a 3 star, certainly not 4 star especially with the restaurant food. The food was piping hot however i dont class pies, lasanges, deep fried this and that as 4 star, no roasts or steaks, the nearest we got was pork chops one day.
The bedrooms are kept clean and tidy by the daily maid service, only one critism is that the toilet is facing a wall and i could not sit straight on it, strange place to put a toilet and was in the same place in our friends rooms
No complaints with reception or the bar area
If you see a good deal for this hotel then book it but dont pay 4 star prices for a 2 - 3 star hotel, I can think of a couple of 4 star hotels nearby that live up to their rating
“ Top Tip: Check out Michaels restaurant, excellent choice of meals at very reasonable prices in the old town 5 mins walk away, also Kafe Klee cabaret drag bar for a good laugh also in the old town near the Avenida Hotel

Hotel was excellent. Staff, from reception to cleaners were very professional in all cases, nothing was too much for them. Room was large (904 on 9th floor), excellent views & sun all day.Food was very good & a good selection as well.There was dancing in the evening on several occasions & was enjoyed by all . All in all holiday was excellent & would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

“ I wouldn't say this is a 4 star hotel at present, however it is undergoing - refurbishment,,,,,unfortunately we weren't told of this and endured 2 full days of screeching sawing and drilling whilst the old metal railings were cut off the balcony's and replaced with new ones which were hoisted past us whilst we were relaxing on our balcony - not good - though the hotel manager offered to move us to another floor = the hotel was spotlessly clean tho the rooms are dated and the bathrooms need updating.....food was fine, was concerned after reading previous reviews, but found it okay for the price we paid. the location is the hotels best feature, really central for everything
“ Top Tip: try the local bus service only 1euro 30cents and you can travel to Althea nearly an hour away, lovely scenery and a nice change if you have seen enough of Benidorm

“ After reading some of the reviews after I had booked this hotel I was a bit apprehensive about our stay there, but I shouldn't have worried as the hotel was clean, the food was good and the staff very friendly. It was in a nice quiet area apart from the Church bells chiming every 15 minutes. We are planning to visit Benidorm in the Spring and will be booking The Benidorm Centre again.
“ Top Tip: The Hotel is handy for both the Old Town and the Levante Beach side of Benidorm.

This beach hotel with a quiet and familiar atmosphere, has 6 floors and a total of 246 rooms, with 24 single rooms and 222 double rooms. In the lobby reception you will find a reception desk open 24 hours with money exchange service, safe box, 3 lifts and laundry service (local charge). The establishment has a bar-café Bitácoras with drinks service to the pool, an air-conditioning restaurant buffet style, 2 conference and events rooms, games room with terminal with access to Internet and ADSL wi-fi zone in the public areas. “ Renovation works going on whilst there no6 informed of the noise . The food was not of a very good standard, who wants fried eggs and fried potatoes for dinner. having stayed at this hotel five times this was a real disapointment.

The Ambassador Playa Hotel consists of two sister hotels linked by a covered walkway and will appeal to families, young and lively and couples looking for a central hotel from which to enjoy Benidorm. The property is very popular with British holidaymakers due to its great location and varied choice of activities and entertainment available on-site. The hotel is an official 3 star but due to its amenities and recent refurbishment we have categorised it as 4.
“ We spent a very pleasant week at the Ambassador last week. Bedrooms very clean and warm. Food was acceptable, with plenty of choice. I am ceoliac and I found plenty to choose from. Especially sweets!!! Was a cool week and was cold in the lounge bar when doors opened, would be better if only one door opened and not two.

This lively 3 star complex is situated in an animated area in the city of Benidorm, just 300 m away from the well known Levante Beach. In the nearby area guests can find all kinds of restaurants, bars and shops to make their holidays a more pleasant experience. The hotel consists of a main building and 5 smaller ones and features amenities suitable for the whole family such as swimming pools, children's playground and mini club (high season) and a varied entertainment programme. It has also a spacious buffet restaurant presenting show-cooking and theme buffets every day. The closest airport in Alicante is about 60 km. away.
“ This was our second visit to this hotel and wont be our last! We have previously stayed at the Rialto, Calypso and Orange - we rate the Pueblo the best.
