Room was clean. It was a little dark and quite basic, but fine if you just want a base to explore the town. The receptionists were very sweet and friendly, even though I couldn't speak much Spanish. Somehow we got by on smiles and pointing!
I'd recommend it for a basic, clean, inexpensive place to stay.
“ Top Tip: You can't really go wrong with the location - it's bang slap in the middle of the Old Town and right by loads of cafes and shops. The famous mosque is only a few footsteps away, too.

Less than an hours drive from Cordoba, through the fertile valley of the Guadalquivir, lies the small farming town of Palma del Rio and the delightful Monasterio de San Francisco Hotel, a 15th century converted monastery, which exudes peace and tranquillity. The historic restaurant, where the monks who lived here once dined before sailing off on their missions to the New World, offers excellent cuisine and fine wines.
“ The visit was spoiled by a temporary change due to significant renovations that had over-run. Consequently there was no restaurant and the large salon was padlocked.

Opened in 1990 and renovated in 2001, the 3-storey hotel offers 18 double rooms and a 300-me garden. A lobby awaits you with 24-hour reception service, safes and a lift. “ Good hotel in all respects as far as facilties are concerned. Breakfast was excellent. Ask for a room on the back as the ones on the front are on a main road and can be very noisy. The hotel is close to all the tourist attractions and within walking distance.
