Poniente Playa Apartments

“ For the price we paid for our holiday (two ladies travelling together) the hotel suited us down to the ground. Room was spacious and was cleaned five days out of the seven we were there. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating when we asked to keep the room on longer on the last day due to an early evening return flight. 10 minute walk to West End, 5 minute walk to Sunset Strip, one minute walk to the amazing Golden Buddha bar and little beach. All in all very pleased with our selection.

“ Top Tip: Golden Buddha Bar is a must and is very close, literally a minute's stroll!!

“ We have just returned home and want to come straight back. The apartment we had was amazing, massive balcony with a sea view. Close to the sunset strip, beach and just a short walk to the nightlife.

The rooms were clean, also cleaners came in alot and we were only there 5 days.

We had an evening flight, and had to check out at 11am. This was fine, as the hotel had storage facilities and really nice showers available for us to freshen up before heading home.

“ Top Tip: Mambo cafe is a must.
Also another lovely restarant would be Villa Mercedes near the harbour, both of these are great for a bit of chillout. Otherwise you can not beat hitting the strip for some serious drinking. I would also recomend a visit to Zoo, what an amazing club day/eve!

“ There was 8 of us who came on holiday, when we first arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us, they had over booked and were going to have to move us to a different hotel for 2 nights, at first we wasnt very pleased with this, however the subsitute hotel we went to was perfectly fine. When we moved back to Poniente the receptionist had got both rooms next to each other and had let us have the air-con free all week. The rooms were clean and very spacious. It was full of young groups of people and music was played constantly from different rooms. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning.

“ If you're looking to party in Ibiza's West End, stay up all night, dine at cafe mambo & watch the sun set then this is the hotel you need to stay in. You get what you pay for - very basic rooms but they do the job, and are situated in a great spot. I went with 4 girl friends (all 22) and we all said we would stay again. We had booked a 5 person apartment and we did have issues when we first checked in, in that they said they had no large rooms for until tomorrow and that we would have to stay in 2 separate rooms. However if you kick up a fuss enough, they always magically seem to find a room for you. Air con was great, lift is pretty small and slow but most use the stairs - we're just lazy!

Pool is over the road and if you head down there before 12 there are always sun beds. Tanya behind the bar is lovely and the food is pretty good for hangover cures! There is also a tiny bit of beach hidden around the corner, which is lovely. We had some literally CRAZY people in the room next to us, in that they had actual fights and threw chairs at each other, which was pretty annoying... but i guess you get that in most places... I think....

Obviously the taxi prices to the clubs are around 40 Euros, but if you're only looking to go to the mega clubs (Pacha, Space, Amnesia etc), you should book a hotel in Playa d'en Bossa or Ibiza Town as they are much closer to the clubs and are nicer areas. But if you book package club tickets, they will usually mean starting in a bar in San Antonio West End, and include a free bus service to the club.

its basically perfect for a clubbers holiday, would avoid if you want peace & quiet.

“ Top Tip: Must go to Ushuaia for the SHM pool party - literally amazing. Avoid Pacha on David Guetta Nights, its so packed and they usually sell at least 2,000 more tickets than they should so youre not even guaranteed to get in. Once you are in, you'll want to leave.
Also head down to Cafe Mambo for great cocktails and food.
