"Nice quiet resort with only a few tavernas and a couple of bars , excellent for swimming in the sea and the surrounding area was picturesque, I would certainly go again if only for the friendliness of the hotel and cretans in general."

"The rooms in the hotel are good,not luxurious - I would compare them with Jury's Inn standard here, but they are bright and modern and do look as they do on the website -as does the whole hotel. Our room was not cleaned on 2 days because we had left the 'do not disturb' sign on the door at the time the cleaner was on our floor. It was not on the door all day and in this country in a 4 star hotel the cleaner would come back when the room is free. This would not usually be a big problem - but remember they use bins for waste toilet paper here and we don't mind complying but the bins really should be emptied daily. We were half board but never ate in the restaurant in the evening. We did eat breakfast and it always amazes me that hotels in the Med,where there is such an abundance of fresh produce, can offer up tinned fruit. The ham, cheese etc was of a lower quality than we would have expected- even the tomatoes were fairly tasteless. The bread was nice. The pool area on the roof was pleasant and the views are good but we couldn't use it very much due to the inclement weather!
Although the hotel is very close to the amenities of the village, including several tavernas, we went to most of them and found all of them fairly uninspiring. Why everyone thinks Dimitris is the best is beyond me - the service is slow and the some of the staff are quite surly. All of the tavernas are better at mezze than 'main courses' and we found ordering several mezze made a better dinner. They are fairly inexpensive though. There are a couple of bars, Nikkitas is nice and right on the beach.
The beach area is right across the road and is very pretty with shallow water well out into the bay. As other people have commented, this village is overun with property development shops.
Overall, we were disappointed, it could be a really lovely little place but there is just something missing."

"Great apparentment - we were in a self catering studio, but we never intended to use the kitchenette, which was a good job as it was tiny! - literally, one cupboard wide with a sink and a portable electric burner with two rings."

"Hotel was generally fine - the driving style of the taxi service that you use for the transfers was not - dangerous overtaking and no concept of breaking distance to name a couple of the hazards here - ' Holiday Taxis ' are not recommended."
