  • "The Ac Gran hotel is very nice. Cleaned everyday, maids were friendly to us. Reception, two whom spoke very good english were quite helpful. Oh ..and free Mini-bar! The facilities in the hotel are a little pricey (restaurant, room service etc) The area: Good location. There's a shopping center across the street (2mins) The beach - which is excellent is 5 mins or so (turn down the street left from hotel and head straight) Walk south down the beach and you'l find a even larger shopping centre with the huge Carrefour supermarket - cheapfood :) (about 25-300mins) Ice cream sandwiches - the chocolate variety are extremely underraed and rare. But if u can find them they are usually only a Euro ... bargain!! "

    "The beach is excellent. At certain times - towards the south/southwest - the volcanic ash washes up onto the beach turning it black and the locals go crazy playing in it. It's an amazing sight."
