"Having checked out the complex at Acuario Sol II from the outside the previous week before we stayed and reading comments on here we were looking forward to our stay - however, when we were given room 117 we were seriously disappointed!! The lighting was almost non existent, there was no toaster, no kettle and in mid August heat no fans in any of the rooms!!!! One of the bedrooms was under the stair case, which created little or no natural light and prevented the window from being left open on a night! The other bedroom looked out onto wasteland behind the apartments and although you wanted to leave the window open at night to get some air in the rooms, it didnt feel safe to do so! Dont get me wrong the room appeared very clean - the overwhelming stench of bleach confirmed this!! However, after staying one night, we checked out and went elsewhere! All I can say is if you want to stay somewhere cheap where you dont wish to spend anytime inside the apartment then book the Acuario Sol, but otherwise dont bother!"

"My husband and I, son and mother stayed at the acurio sol apartments. The apartments where excellent and the location was just right. We stayed on the side where the reception was, which was great as we had the pool to our selves quite a lot and this was at peak time. I would reccomend these apartments to any age group. The cooked breakfast from suzys bar was also nice. Most of the meals looked nice and also she put on the occassional entertainment!"

"we went in january and it was lovely and quiet - clean appartments and towels/beds cleaned every other day - nice resort and worth the walk/taxi up to the old end of the town"

"The hotel bar was excellent and the food there was good although a bit pricey. The apartments also need to have a kettle and toaster provided, so you do not need to hire them from the reception. Pool was clean, no security issues and the apartments were very spacious."

"Excellent, well serviced apartments. Great location. Stayed in Sol II. The food served in the apartment bar/cafe was really top notch value. If you like your Sunday Dinner - Eat here ! It's as good has home cooking."

"Loved Puerto del Carmen. Apartments were a few streets back from the main strip but still within walking distance to all the amenities. Would definately go back."
