"We trawled the Net for a cheap but decent hotel/SC Apartment near Can Picofort - this was very clean and in the right location. I would have no trouble recommending this as an excellent budget place to stay - nice little pool as well!"
BRIAN from BOURNEMOUTH reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"Self Catering rooms were excellent and very clean, all public areas spotless.
Bar prices comparable (if not better than) surrounding areas and staff both helpful and friendly.
Overall, it was better than expected and would not hesitate to return, if in the area. "
Christine from Abercynon reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"The rooms were excellent value for money. One bed apartment had 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. Everything was very clean, and all the staff including the owner and his wife were friendly and accommodating. Hotel minutes away from a lovely beach, and the main strip had plenty of bars and places to eat. The hotel is next to a busy road, and there is some road noise in the day, but very little in the night and it does not disturb your sleep. "
Top Tip:
"Bar Jamaica , has a great atmosphere , lovely staff and wonderful cocktails. Try the Sangria, you get a pint glass. Trottter 'sBar derves a good English Breakfast for 5 Euro. and it is good back bacon and british sausage. "
Jean from EALING reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"The apartment that we stayed in was ok but very basic. We were self catering but barely had enough pans to cobble a meal together with. The bed linen and towels were clean but threadbare and as we were at the front of the building and overlooking the very busy main road the noise from the traffic was extremely loud at times we could not hear each other speak. Despite that the hotel staff were very friendly .We would not , however, reccomend these particular apmnts."
Peter from Manchester reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"Hotel is on a very busy road so very noisy at night. Rooms adequate, maids came in every other day to change towels etc. Staff very good, helpful and friendly. The owner and his wife there every day and night. "
Top Tip:
"The Gran Bahia for the best coffee and cake.
The Jamaica Bar for cocktails."
SUSAN from LEICESTER reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"this was a blast from the past for me as i first stayed here some 40 years ago with my parents who liked it so much we went back the following 8 years. it was nice to see that the standards were just as good and the family run hotel, who even rememberd me, was just as friendly. one slight disadvantage is that what was once a little dirt track road is now the main road and can be a little noisey. the 300 yrd strole to the superb beach is even easier as the side street has now been pedestrianised all the way"
Top Tip:
"the hotel is sited well for all the bars shops and resturants and night life. the small resturant as you turn right out the main entrance has a superb fish menu and the paella was great"
Matthew from Droylsden reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"The accomadation was basis, but good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. We recomend you try to get a room at the rear of the hotel, as this is a lot quieter. Also, there was no TV in the studio appartment, therefore recomend taking a radio etc."
Top Tip:
"The restaurant Monocca halfway down the street to the beach served excellent food and surroundings for a resonable price. Also, if you are interested in Soaps and football, try the no one pub near the beach."
Tanya Claire from Cardiff reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"The hotel was well situated, staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean with adequate facilities, although we failed to realise that we had booked room only online and would have had to pay a further 35 euro for the use of kitchen facilities. The hotel had no restaurant or facilities for tea or coffe apart from the bar. However, I would definitely say at this hotel again due to the friendliness of the staff, nothing was too difficult for them."
Top Tip:
"Before booking check whether you want self catering apartment or room only, as room only means just that!"
Helen Louise from Colchester reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"We gave our holiday 10/10, it was our first family holiday with our 1yr old son & it was perfect very child friendly. Very well organised the transfer shuttle was waiting no hold ups very smooth. Hotel was top quality for a 3 star rating clean & lovely staff & facilities fine, swimming pool nice. Hotel was in perfect position at the top of a strip of bars, resturants & shops with the beach at the bottom only a 5min walk it was great. Beach was lovely water very warm & safe for children bit wavey on breezey days. We loved it so much we want to go back next year & take friends with us."
Top Tip:
"The best resturant we found was called MONACO as you walk down the strip towards the beach its on the right hand side about half way down - very good food & reasonable prices - it was our favourite, friendly staff."
Seamus from Ballymena reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"This was an absolutely lovely place to stay! Although the resort is a little quiet, the accommodation and staff were more than adequate. The apartment was a good size and was excellent value for money! The owners of the hotel were on hand every night and were very welcoming. The bar staff were also lovely and always available for giving information about the local area for example the best places to eat and so on. So good in fact we have already booked for next year!"
Top Tip:
"Good restaurants are plentiful in Can Picafort but must give mention to two which stood out the most, notably the Monaco and an italian restaurant i think was called zodiac or something beginning with z! Altought service was a bit slow, the food was fabulour."
"This hotel is extremely clean and all the staff very helpful, Rooms cleaned every two days. The only complaint I had is lack of decent nightly entertainment. Hotel can be a bit noisy due to traffic on the street but you get used to it. I would recommend this hotel highly and would return."
Top Tip:
"Trotters on the beach for the best roast beef ,yorkshires and trimmings around.
Maria 2 for the best service and food selection of all the restaurants around the beach area."
Nela from Chester reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"Hotel was great, the staff was so polite and anything we asked for they provided. It's not 5 star, but for the money we payed it was great, clean, quiet, and we had a room with sea view. Hoping to go back there soon!"
Top Tip:
"I can say that the restaurant that is on the side of a hotel (once belonged to the hotel, but now runned by a young couple) on the pedestrian road is the best restaurant in Can Picafort."
Coral from Manningtree reviewed the Africamar Apartments
"When we arrived at the hotel, there was no room for us. We were put into an ordinary room for one night with no self catering facilities. We were moved the next day. However, the self catering facilities were very basic indeed."
geoffrey from gravesend reviewed the Africamar Apartments
