"Where to begin? We had a lovely time! The beach was just across a path from the hotel and the hotel provided beach chairs for guests to relax on as well as umbrellas for those wanting to be out of the sun. The beach was clean and tidied daily.
Access to restaurants and shops was immediate. The gorgeous restaurants and bars that were set alongside the road were priced reasonably however we were there at the end of the season so a lot of bartering for prices.
Although the hotel itself is suitable for older people, families and young people, the island itself is not for everyone. Please investigate your health before going there as we had to hike up mountains and swim distances on the tours of the island. Otherwise, the island could seem dull.
The hotel restaurant had gorgeous food! It was setup in a buffet style for both breaksfast and dinner. The only thing I would say is that dinner starts at 7pm which for us was a tad late, but it was well worth the wait.
The service at the hotel was fantastic! Everyone from the General Manager to the pool bar staff were very helpful and nice. The restaurant staff were more than attentive and the room cleaning service was impeccable.
Our room had a gorgeous view! We overlooked the pool and in the morning the sunrise would just be glorious! I have and will consider to go there again both the island and this hotel."

"rooms were nice but the bathrooms could do with modernizing. Cleaned spotlessly daily.Staff were really lovely."

"I particularly loved our room which was a quad for 4 persons, two adults and two children. The cleaning staff were excellent. I loved the wet room with the walk-in shower. I would highly recommend the room number 514. The food was great and fresh."

"The hotel itself was fine, our 'family' room however was not at all suitable for families with young children. We have a 4 and 2 year old and the family room was located on the top floor of the hotel up many steps so a nightmare if you have a pushchair. The family room was the worst though. Our bedroom was on a mezzanine level up a floating polished wooden staircase suspended by wire cable with big gaps and frayed cable at certain points. The top of the staircase looked like it had a step missing and a small child could have easily fallen through. The gaps between the cables were also wide in places and one could even fit an adult through. Not at all suitable. We complained to the hotel manager who was completely unhelpful and suggested we did not let the kids up the stairs. That's all good and well but if they woke up before us in the morning the first place they came was up stairs. Have you ever tried stopping a 2 year old? Also, the air con was downstairs and never reached the upstairs bedroom so it was unbearably hot up there. When we asked reception for a fan, the snotty receptionist was not at all helpful so we had to suffer the heatwave. The pool was nice but sunbeds went quickly and if you did not have a towel down before 9 forget it. The breakfast was ok but got a bit tiresome after a few days. The beach was volcanic made of stones pebbles and shingle - not a grain of sand in sight. There was also a big shelf as you went into the sea so not suitable for young kids. You could get a water taxi over to perissa to a better beach with sand on it - worth a trip if you want a beach trip. Sunbeds on the beach are quite pricey though. The restaurants don't really cater for food and can be extremely slow serving you. A great place to eat is the Academy crepery - excellent value and friendly staff and they do have chicken fillets for fussy kids! Expensive island overall and prices go up when the season changes. 15 euros for a taxi transfer from the airport. The friendliest people I found to be the cleaning staff who work so hard - they were lovely. Don't think I would go back!"

"Hotel appeared to have recently been refurbished. All staff were courteous. Rooms were cleaned daily."

"Hotel very good, but in need of a makeover. Food very good . Staff very helpfull. Very clean. Toilet and shower room bit on the small side."

"after asking for an upgraded room-to a seaview i have no complaints. the breakfast is something nobody should be able to complain about."

"The hotel that was meant to be 4* was less than 2 !!! Absolutely disgusted !!! The rooms were tiny, dingy and our pool view was a plastic toddlers pool !! I am furious, you happily took £700 off each of us for what we were led to believe was a very luxurious 4* hotel. It was shocking, old, decrepid with filthy decor and a shower head that we had to hold over our heads to have a shower. Stood in half a bath !!!! It smelt of damp and sewerage and we could not even bear to be in the room. The restaurant was like a school canteen with worse than hospital food that was totally unedible !!! Most of the meat was not even recognisable and the main and only most of the time vegetable was soggy brussel sprouts !!! No one in that hotel ate the food,
I am horrified, as a very regular traveller at the shocking conditions you subjected us to. It was a seven day nightmare and ruined the whole experience of Santorini, which is renowned to be a classy, upmarket island. The conditions you put us in made it more like the Costa del Sol or Tenerife !!!"

"Hotel was fabulous we had a pool view and received a plate of fruit and half bottle fo wine on arrival. The rooms were cleaned daily and the pool area was enjoyable, clean with comfortable beds. We never ate at the Hotel as there are so many lovely restaurants close by."

"The hotel was ideally situated only 5 minutes away from the beach. Room was lovely and cleaned daily. We had a lovely view over the pool and towards the sea. We stayed half board and found the breakfasts to be excellent however alot of the choice for the evening meals were very oily!!"

"Hotel excellent and food improved so much since last year. Staff very friendly and helpful. First Choice airlines were brilliant especially as we had to land in Crete as Santorini airport on strike but the First Choice staff were so helpful and organised."

"Rooms spacious and well decorated, food plentiful and much better than average, staff helpful and efficient.. In all, very good value for money."

"Only two complaints 1) the bathrooms could do with updating - a little worn out but clean nonetheless 2) the range of food for vegetarians is not great"

"fab accomodation for a family of 4
staff lovely and very helpful
food good and loads of variety
didn't get too busy around pool even in august"
