john from northampton reviewed the Aimia Hotel
"wonerful atmosphere. very friendly and professional staff. room was really lovely, the bed was so comfortable. can,t wait to go back."
Top Tip:
"a really breath taking walk along the mountain top with the most beutiful views of the sea and the town.you can see for miles. it is from peurto soller to soller. its all signposted, should take 2hours. taj mahal indian restaurant has good food and prices."
"One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We chose to stay in a superior room which was very spacious and modern. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The pool area was peaceful and relaxing and although we were bed and breakfast we did eat in the restaurant a few times and can certainly recommend it. "
Top Tip:
"We would recommend the Randemar Restaurant which was a bit pricey. But we also ate at a very quiet Chinese restaurant not far from the hotel for a fraction of the cost and it was absolutely delicious. "
"a welcoming arrival. however our request for a wonderful sea view was not available. after some computer searching another room with a partial sea view was found! no soap in the bathroom, airconditioning not available - as the heating had to be on at this time of year. other than this we think that the room and bathroom was acceptably 4 star. breakfast was limited. as for the resort this was desperatly needed regeneration. serious lack of quality restaurants. plently of fast food type restaurants."
Adrian from Robin Hoods Bay reviewed the Aimia Hotel
"This was a very pleasant break, the hotel and staff were excellent, the food and service was 1st class and the hotel itself kept in top condition.
I would return there without hesitation."
Top Tip:
"the train ride from Puerto Soller to Palma via Soller is a must."
"The hotel was chic and relaxed, the service laid back and unobstrusive but still prompt and effective. The rooms were warm and well furnished in a modern suede and walnut style. Highly recommended for couples seeking a stylish but low-key getaway."
Top Tip:
"Try the Lua resaurant in the resort. The service might be a little slow, as they do have quite a few customers to serve and most importantly - they are cooking your food from fresh. However, when you get it, it's worth the wait. Just don't do what we did and scoff it all down in 15 minutes - gobbling it all up because it was that delicious!
On another note - don't turn your nose up at the 'Pizzeria' the Sol Y Mer which is in the old station. It looks like a tourist magnet, but I can repeatedly vouch for the fish stew and my husband says the grilled sardine were the best he's had on the whole island!"
"Hotel was excellent. Lovely room. We were given our request for room with sea view. Rooms were well serviced and hotel staff were very helpful. We had b & b and breakfast was also excellent. We ate one evening meal which again was excellent. The only criticism was that the television in our room only received German programmes."
Top Tip:
"There were several very good small restaurants on the seafront by the marina.
Lovely tram ride into Soller. Cheaper to get a taxi if there are more than 2 of you though. Buses good and very cheap also to many interesting places on the island."
"Excellent breakfast, excellent service in all respects with very friendly English speaking staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Very modern hotel with good pool, poolside bar etc. Immaculately clean and in a good position very near the front."
Top Tip:
"it is worth upgrading to a superior room with sea view. Our standard room was fine but the superior rooms are 50% bigger."
Ann from Sutton Coldfield reviewed the Aimia Hotel
"We enjoyed our stay here. Our room/bathroom was well appointed, immaculate and had every convenience. Balcony was large with sea view. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. We had half board and dinner was also excellent. The only criticism was that dinner seemed to be rather early, even though service was until 9.30 pm, if we went to dinner later than 8 pm the staff were setting up for breakfast around us, so could feel a bit rushed - but that may have been due to it being towards the end of the season."
James from Barrow-in-Furness reviewed the Aimia Hotel
"The hotel is in a quiet situation two minutes walk from the centre of the resort, which is absolutely stunning.
From the moment we arrived we received the very best attention, the rooms were immaculate and the facilities first class. We were room only so I can't comment on the food but we would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel when we visit Puerto Soller again and we will."
Top Tip:
"There are plenty of good restaurants in the resort, we had our breakfastson in glorious sunsine overlooking the marina and our evening meals at the other side of the resort a stones throw from the Mediterranean! Anyone who stays in Puerto Soller must take the tram to Soller and walk to some of the small villages nearby, they are amazing. Or take the tram to Soller and the train to Palma via the mountains, in one and a half hours you can be in a beautiful city, see the sights and you can enjoy the local Mallorcan wine without the worry of driving! "
"Lovely hotel, well equipped and stylish rooms. All rooms have large balcony with beautiful sea views. Hotel restaurant was excellent. Great choice for breakfast but we also ate there one evening and had lunch by the pool each day. The menu was varied and the food delicious. They also served an excellent sangria! The staff were courteous and very helpful. All in all we couldn't fault it and definitely intend to go back. It made our first visit to Majorca very special. "
"The hotel met all my expectations, the standard rooms were quite small but provided everything you needed for a short stay. If you have the chance upgrade to a better room, most of them had much larger balconies."
Top Tip:
"Restaurant Randemar and Agapanto Bar & Restaurant (booking is advisable) were fabulous.
"
"Friendly and very professionally-run hotel with as-new facilities and modern decor, including silent air-conditioning; spotlessly clean everywhere. High standards of food and service, aimed at 50+ clientelle without children in tow who want a relaxing environment without hotel 'entertainment'. Would recommend it to everyone."
Top Tip:
"Nautilus bar on outskirts of Porto Soller for a drink or meal where you can watch the sun set into the sea - stunning! About 5 minutes from centre of town by taxi or a 10-15-minute walk."
"Port Soller is a beautiful place, The Aimia is a great hotel especially if you have a superior room with bay view, the view really is to die for."
Top Tip:
"Fantastic restaraunt called So Caprcicco, we had fantastic tapas and brilliant steak dish brought out with a hot plate which you cooked at your table, the staff are really friendly too"
"The only comment would be that the balcony was postage stamp sized - no room to sit down and only one person could stand on it. Otherwise the hotel was WONDERFUL and the staff very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
Top Tip:
"Taking the scenic train from Soller to Palma is a must."
"Puerto Soller was slightly quieter than we expected for this time of year . The beach is poor so we used the excellent pool area of the hotel. Soller is a pleasant town and we enjoyed our trip to on the little railway"
