Clare from South Shields reviewed the Akteon Holiday Village Hotel
"We stayed at akteon on a self catering basis, the apartment was clean and well maintained and regularly serviced. Evening entertainment was fine especially for families - different events each evening. The pool area was lovely although the pool was cold (but it was March!!), however there was an indoor pool which was lovely and warm. Although akteon is a distance from Paphos center / harbour etc. it is only a five minute walk from bus stop, shops and restaurants."
Top Tip:
"El Paso bar only a short walk - great food, reasonably priced, pool and sky sports and evening entertainment. Fat Mamas a must only a couple of stops on the bus"

"A very nice place. next to the sea. stayed 1 night. food was ok , but if we were there longer ,food would , i think be a little to much of the same thing. there are many bad reviews of this hotel , but it is a very cheap hotel and gives a very good service, it is a good idea to have a car if staying at this hotel. and i would say to book self catering as this is the way to get best value for money and eat out of hotel as food in cyprus is expensive but very nice. staff were very good , and has evening entertainment for all family."
Top Tip:
"hire a car , it is a great way to get about"

"Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were spacious, staff were ok but not over friendly. Food was great especially from pool snack bar. Pools are ideal for all ages. 5 to 10 mins bus ride to coral bay for neasrest large beach and water sports. only 80 cent on bus where ever you go. Animacion team were great although some have returned home as it is winter season. Cant fault it!"

"The staff were brilliant, the rooms are very basic, i believe this is an area for improvement. The poolside entertainment was great and the all inclusive meals package was a good range, although nothing specific for children.
"
Top Tip:
"Coral Bay is really beautiful. Not much else local to the hotel."

"One of the best resturant 2 bus stops from the hotel was Martell an Italian. Food and service was excellent. The trip North was much better than perseption given."

Jennifer from Widnes reviewed the Akteon Holiday Village Hotel
"We would not go back to this accommodation. The facilities are good but the management and senior staff could do with a customer relations course. They can be extremely rude. Rooms are adequate and cleaned frequently, public areas and pool are very good. If you have any interest in food don't book all inclusive as the meals become repetitive and dull. Whilst we had a good holiday we did encounter security problems (a fellow guest had the safe stolen from the wall of their wardrobe), potential food poisoning (as a result of undercooked frozen burger in the bar) and cockroaches in our kitchen."
Top Tip:
"Goumet Taverna on Dionysou is a fantastic restaurant. The quality of cooking and presentation is superb and they provided by far the best two meals we had during our stay. Long trousers are required to eat in the hotel's main restaurant in the evening so don't forget to take them. Don't go to the Tomb of the Kings without adequate sun protection as there is very little shade. "

"The hotel was okay for the money. Staff could have been friendlier, the a la carte restaurant was not open which was annoying and the reception/bar area was extremely smokey. The good points were, rooms clean and spacious, breakfast and pool food excellent. location and views good."

"The accommodation was good. The maid service was excellent. The location of the hotel made it a bit difficult to get about. The water made available to AI guests was discusting. The majority of the bar staff were sullen. The Hotel entertainment team were excellent. Danielle in particular was outstanding in her efforts to get people to join in. The outside area ie swimming pool were excellent and could not be faulted in any way."

"This hotel is not four star. The all inclusive is just ok - the bar staff do not wish to serve as there are no tips involved, the inside pool is dirty but you get what you pay for. This was very cheap and reception staff where fantastic when my daughter left behind something of sentimental value"
Top Tip:
"Local pizzeria out of the hotel to the left towards the main road then left for about 5 minutes. Great food"

"We arrived in the early hours of the morning and found it very dark and difficult to find our accommodation. When we got there it was stinking of smoke. We asked to be moved the next day which they were able to do because of the time of year. We chose another room - left our luggage but they said there was a problem with the wall and could not have that one and chose another Once we moved in the hot water was not working and they wanted us to move again. We said we could survive one night without hot water but no longer. This was promptly fixed the following day. Overall the complex was good and certainly value for money."
Top Tip:
"Harbour area very pleasant but from a personal point of view I would not recommend Paphos as an area for me I much prefer the other end of the island i.e. Protaras with regard to the beach/sea, restaurants etc. "

ANTHONY from CHESTERFIELD reviewed the Akteon Holiday Village Hotel
"We went "All inclusive" to the Akteon. Would not class the accomodation as 4*, the room was old fashioned and smelt musty when we first went in as though it hadn't been used for ages.
The food was OK but there was not much variety of dishes to say it was "buffet style" - more basic.
The staff and manager were very helpful with any problems which were quickly sorted out - we had ants in our bathroom and the light didn't work either, but by the time we went back in the apartment it had been sorted."

Suzanne from Marlborough reviewed the Akteon Holiday Village Hotel
"All the hotel staff were very curtious, lots of smiles and everyone was helpful.
Room was clean, although basic. Beds were hard and the childrens beds were very thin bed seattees with sheets that wont tuck in.
The room was also a little damp, but it was fine for what we paid and just used as a a base. The room would benefit from a coat of paint and a dry out being critical, but we did get it cheap and it was end of season.
The electricity for the room runs off the room key being fitted into a switch just inside the door. Great idea to save lights being left on, but no good if one of your party want to go back to the room to sleep., you wont be able to get in without wakeing them.
The design and look of the Hotel was very pleasent and the infinity pool was a picture although a little chilly in November. The indoor pool and jaccuzi made up for this. Nice quite Hotel grounds too. But you will need a hire car to get into Pathos. I would recommend as a no fills holiday base. Their restaurant food so, so, so we did not try the A la Cart, and went out instead.
Entertainment very ' Hi -De - Hi' but they did make the effort and all in all I would stay there again, as a quick ,warm, holiday cheapy! "
Top Tip:
"I recommend ' The Pelican' fish tavern down at Kato Paphos harbour, great food and friendly staff, plus two real pink pelicans! for the kids.
For great sea fishing trips at Kato Pathos, I recommend ' Elias and his wife Clare' His boat is called ' The angler ' and the trip was great value for money, plus Elias is a real fisherman, not a ' wide boy ' like many other fishing trip boat owners there. Elias could navigate his way through ' The perfect storm! with his eyes closed! Highly recomended."
